I wanted to see the Queen in her carriage ride with Trump, but there is nothing outside of Buckingham Palace. All in private.

The only Royal going outside with Trump is the Duke of York.

I'm most interested in seeing how HM acts around the Orange One. She won't put a foot wrong on the surface of course, but we know how she communicates via jewellery and clothes choices. Like wearing the brooch Obama gave her for Trump's last visit, or wearing a hat in the EU colours.

@AliasGrape A belated welcome to the thread, glad you've posted. Amusing photo of Harry in that article. I don't think BA do first class on European flights, just business, although it isn't up to the standard of business class on long haul flights!

The general consensus is that Harry will meet POTUS. Meghan is 4 weeks post birth I wouldn't expect her to meet anyone yet she is entitled to maternity leave just like anyone else! She may not even have left Archie yet. Under normal circumstances of course she should meet heads of state like the others but this is different!

Also away from trump the picture of the York's on the last thread if that's trooping of the colours rehearsal then does that mean we will see Fergie at trooping?? That would be the office back in the fold stamp of approval wouldn't it!

She speaks 6 languages ironically enough. There is however a touch of the heavily sedated about her.

The facts are she was a nobody when she said it, is now a member of the Royal Family and its now a talking point as Trump is coming on a state visit.

Trump is far from the worst person we've had on a state visit and it is the RF's job to be welcoming and polite and not to have an opinion.

For all the derision of Melania, she's a clever woman who when she married Trump had no idea that he'd end up President. She's not interested in being First Lady (and it's a very old fashioned role anyway). She stays in the background and doesn't opine about various causes just because of her husband's job.

Well yes, that's what royals do but she wasn't a royal when she said it. And private citizens are entitled to their opinions. I doubt she'd do the same now because she is a royal but she could've hardly predicted the future.

As for Melania she always looks like she's counting the days til Trump leaves office and is hoping like hell that he doesn't get another term! It's clear that this isn't what she envisaged when she married him but she's made her bed...

Sophie's tiara from the image posted earlier is one of my favourites. It's difficult to find a clear photo of it.

Not sure about that tiara of Sophie's, she never seems to get the really good ones. Her wedding tiara looked like something from Claire's!
