Kate's dress is horrid.

I'd hate to have to get gussied up to this level - the dress, the ribbons, the brooches and tiaras. All combined, it starts to look ludicrous.

Has anyone figured out who Kate stoped to shake hands with? It looked like someone wearing dark red but I couldn't see anymore than that.

So David C is 58 and Rose H is 35. I thought she was his daughter!

I liked it too Rhubarb. I think she looked lovely, properly elegant. I think the texture is needed with white or else it would’ve looked too bridal. Melania - awful IMO not appropriate at all. Camilla looked like she’d had a fright in this picture

Only read the last few comments so apologies for going over old ground. TMs gown didn’t look ‘gowny’ enough, just like any old plain black dress which is a shame really. I agree with PP Ivanka didn’t look appropriate either.

The body language is painful between her and Donald. Just no chemistry at all. He doesn’t seem to have any awareness of her or looks out for her at all.

I think she's had quite a bit. She looks botoxed and lifted to the point where she can barely form an expression on her face. Though perhaps that's intentional, otherwise she'd spend all day cringeing at what her husband comes out with!

I'm didn't see it but heard a reporter saying that Donald had had the first rejection whilst here and it was from his wife. I suspect t he tried to hold her hand and she wouldn't but it's not nice to draw attention and inference to it. Hope I'm not being not nice by discussing it

Sorry to derail but I was just reading Listverse and came across this little snippet:

I know we've speculated about how the RF keep track of their clothes, so it seems those who thought a computer programme / app were correct!

Interestingly, Melania doesn't look much different from when they got married 14 years ago.

@Stravapalava She tends to wear the same pair of black shoes all the time so I imagine she has about 100 pairs! Not sure she gets a servant to break them in though - shoes are a very individual thing as we all have such different feet. Unless she found her foot twin what's comfortable for the servant may not be the same for her!

Ivanka’s an odd one isn’t she. In the photos I’ve seen she looks either frozen with fear or frozen with boredom.
