soups, with shoes, I buy them when I find them. I don’t really mind full price if they are perfect. Clothes I’m a bit more willing to wait it out.

twosoups1972 · 30/05/2019 13:15

Thought that question was a mistake Grin

Ninkaninus · 30/05/2019 13:17

Yes I’m the same as cherries - Good footwear for daily wear that’s good quality, comfortable, right in every way and within my budget doesn’t come along all that often IMO. I’ll always find another bag or coat or dress if one I like sells out, but it can take months or years before I find another pair of shoes or boots that’s just right.

SoyYo · 30/05/2019 13:19

I’m thinking about the P.O. people and laughing now 🤣 I send my DC to post back my parcels and DS2 last week when he was taking yet another Hush return to P.O. said “you know they asked me last time if I ever pay for returns” Shock like they know him so well by now Grin
I was glad to oblige as I had to pay for the returns short hundred stars kimono and told him if they say a word again remind them you’re keeping them in employment! Wink

@soups agree with @nink. Just buy them! You have been wanting them forever and even if they appear on sale your size may not be available and you’ll kick yourself...

SoyYo · 30/05/2019 13:22

Ah good! I just saw @cherries and @laska reply Grin

@soups! Go Go Go 🏃🏻‍♀️

Huffthepuff · 30/05/2019 13:24

Soups have you ordered from Daniel before? You could use a referral or new customer code if not

neveradullmoment99 · 30/05/2019 13:53

Going to just jump in here and say to soups that I had my eye on the nibble boots in Daniel footwear. Can I say that I emailed customer services to ask if they would be in the sale. They said that they wouldn't be in the next month but they sent me a code with a discount instead. It wasn't much but it was better than nothing. Anway, That was over a year ago. The boots are still not reduced. I did buy them in the end anyway.
Buy them. Chances are they may not ever be reduced!

neveradullmoment99 · 30/05/2019 13:56

@soyo, disappointing about the dress but more money for your holiday!
I agree about the privacy thing. I really do not understand why mumsnet doesn't have a private section that is closed. I used to be on a website called baby and bump and they had a section that was private and could only be accessed if you used the group for x amount of months. It is annoying.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/05/2019 13:59

Oh and my m&S dupes came of the hush flatforms. IMO they are more comfy than the hush ones! I was a bit wary as the reviews said they were inflexible etc but tbh, I found the hush ones heavy and inflexible to walk in and for that reason didn't take them on holiday. They are just as nice, not leather but hey ho for £29 I can live with it. They are not for walking long distances but fine for jumping in and out of the car and walking short distances. The hush ones were also heavy and similar. I honestly think it is the flatform wedge.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/05/2019 14:01

I think I will probably buy another colour. I got the black. I have the hush silver ones from last year but the sole wore away in a matter of weeks! I was gutted so no idea if I can get a new sole for them. They have them in silver on the M&S website, orange and white. I might get the white.

SoyYo · 30/05/2019 14:13

Great news never on the flatforms.
Can you link? ( just curious as I don’t own any flatforms and you have such a good eye).
I’m looking Fw to seeing you in the gorgeous Hush blue jacket too, what a bargain! Wise to snap too as now ooo in all sizes! Shock which goes to show how popular this thread is Wink
And just to say to any lovely lurkers please do join us. You’ll find great advice and never any judgement, people may agree something looks a bit pants on you but it wouldn’t cross their minds to say something hurtful.

I may just post the pic I took of the Jigsaw to stop myself being such a sensitive flower and prove the point Wink

And another (and last!) surprise, as that’s it from me and fashion purchases nothing else to come (well yes one thing the Gudrun b/w trousers but they won’t arrive before my hols).
Jigsaw part shipped my order and just took delivery in a separate parcel of a bargainous electric blue silk batwing top. It’s a KEEPER!
👏👏👏👏👏

twosoups1972 · 30/05/2019 14:13

I've bought them! I managed to find a 10% discount code online so that helps a bit. I really wanted to order 2 sizes just in case (think they run a bit small) but they only had a 4 in stock. I've put an email request when a 5 come back into stock.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/05/2019 14:20

I will link when I have bought the white ones Wink
Otherwise, they may sell out!!!!

SoyYo · 30/05/2019 14:20

Bravo soups! Smile

SoyYo · 30/05/2019 14:20

Wise move never Grin

neveradullmoment99 · 30/05/2019 14:21

Good for you @soups. You may return them anway as they may not be as nice in the flesh and at least you will have scratched the itch!

neveradullmoment99 · 30/05/2019 14:24

www.marksandspencer.com/two-strap-flatform-heel-sliders/p/p60215516?OmnitureRedirect=flatform%20espadrille

Just bought the white ones. They are nice but not for serious walking.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/05/2019 14:25

I like the orange ones but just not a practical colour for me. Now I have truly spent enough.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/05/2019 14:29

IMO the silver ones are the nicest but I have the hush silver ones!

twosoups1972 · 30/05/2019 14:38

They're really nice @never I like the orange ones too but can see the white are probably more practical.

@Soy the Jigsaw top sounds lovely, can we see a picture?

I am about to hit the shops with my 12 year old dd who has ASD. I'm nervous! She needs clothes but can't decide about ANYTHING. We've had various pairs of Fila trainers going back and forth, and JD Sports only give 2 weeks for a refund. Any question I ask her about if she's keeping stuff results in her telling me I'm stressing her. Apparently sports branded clothing is popular with this age group at the moment. She has a school residential coming up and she's worrying about all the things she needs, plus she stresses HERSELF with finding decisions difficult. She normally prefers online shopping but as we've got to go to JD anyway to return stuff, I'm trying to persuade her to have a look while we're there.

Oh and I have to stand exactly the right distance from her in shops- if I'm too far away she gets worried (I think in case an assistant talks to her), if I'm too close I'm crowding her. I already feel on edge.

Laska2Meryls · 30/05/2019 14:50

ok Jigsaw stuff arrived, Disappointingly the £39 trainers although fab are too narrow for my kipper feet . Sad
Here is the rest.. Sunglasses fab, cardi is the perfect navy cardi ive been looking for and cropped cargos , whch fit like they were made for me .. (so the M&s ones will be going straight back now when they arrive) They still have the Jigsaw ones in lots of sizes in their ebay outlet

My only dilemma is now because of Soys links above I could get an extra £15 off the sunnies and cardi, and should exchange really as all expensive , (but would you send back? or too much hassle ? )

I don’t think I’d return for £15 saving. I suppose I ought to, but I just can’t bear that kind of hassle.

Love them all, they look great!

Laska2Meryls · 30/05/2019 14:54

Also arrived the Hush Monaco, in blueberry, (not the best photo, but love them so keeping. I tried a 10 as that was all they had in and they are fine , also another photo of the sunnies

Never I love the orange flatforms ! I have some Moshulu silver ones ( but not suc a tall sole,) but am v wary of wearing that style now as that was what i was wearing when i fell up the steps and broke my toe Sad

SoyYo · 30/05/2019 15:16

@soups I wish you strength with DD at JD. Teens eh Hmm
I’ll post a pic of the jigsaw blue silk top soon (in the middle of tidying study/all my work rubbish into some semblance of normality as the contract copies are reproducing themselves on my desk!)

@laska huge thumbs up! All looks great but my favourite are you in those 😎 you look cool, the jigsaw trousers are lovely on you too. I wouldn’t bother tbh for £15 either.

@never fierce flatforms! I like but would break my non broken ankle if I tried to walk in those. I love but if you think I managed to break my ankle last summer at the rock festival wearing my Clark’s flat sandals goodness knows the damage I could do with those on Grin
Btw we have tickets for this years festival (July) hoping I’ll survive the 4 days with all limbs intact!
