Thanks melen. Btw sized down to a 10 with the jacket.

justilou1 · 26/05/2019 11:56

@soups - I second the advice about getting the foot checked out. Any infection can and probably will raise your temp. Also trainers are notoriously warm, humid and buggy - perfect breeding grounds for bacteria. That’s why they get stinky. I’d be soaking it in warm, salty water in the time being too. I hope you feel better!

dontcallmelen · 26/05/2019 12:11

Yy salty water, it was my DF cure for everything, usually worked as well.

twosoups1972 · 26/05/2019 12:15

Ahhh saltwater, why didn't I think of that?? Thank you. Will the fucidin cream help too?

SoyYo · 26/05/2019 12:25

Genius suggestion @justi, saltwater is old fashioned remedy but a great one to remember.

@never and @len thank you for the dress love we’ll wait and see, don’t want to get hopes up but will report back and Matalan seems like a bargain paradise. Enjoy your day out @never, that jacket looks great on you!

justilou1 · 26/05/2019 12:34

I’d probably leave fucidin off until bedtime, and go barefoot around the house and let the wound dry out as much as possible, @Soups.... try and keep everything off it unless you’re going out or going to bed.

twosoups1972 · 26/05/2019 13:25

Thank you all so much. I have soaked in salt water and actually looking at it, it does seem a bit better. Not so red around the blister. Am going out later but will wear a flip flop style of sandal which avoids the area.

I have bought a couple of Boden jumpers which I will try and post later. Have a lovely Sunday everyone Smile

twosoups1972 · 26/05/2019 14:08

@melen I LOVE the Matalan jacket.

Laska2Meryls · 26/05/2019 14:08

salt water is the best cure I reckon,

v early start this morning with 2 small girls charging around from before 6am , but they are all out for the day now and I have prepped the diner (Ottelenghi turkey ang courgette burgers,) and we may bbq this evening but its quite windy here right now , but still warm..

I am now going out to do some nice peaceful potting on , whilst there is no one in the garden!!

I did order the jolly green v vest top as well yesterday, thinking it may look good with my last years green santana to look like a dress.. if not it will go with lots of other tings . The Grazia code is still working btw

twosoups1972 · 26/05/2019 14:14

Sounds good laska I do enjoy having the house to myself for a bit of pottering especially if I’ve been busy. Sounds like the DGC are having fun!

twosoups1972 · 26/05/2019 14:18

I’ve bought these 2 Boden jumpers. I like them both but the cream one is a very fine knit and I imagine it might snag.

@huff how did your stain go?

Huffthepuff · 26/05/2019 15:33

I think I got most of it out @neveradullmoment99 thanks, just waiting for it to completely dry. I missed one little spot of oil that I know of. It's lost it's silky ness though, hasn't washed that well 😟 Maybe it will loosen up when I wear it again?

neveradullmoment99 · 26/05/2019 15:46

Yes. It will be fine if you iron it. Its tencell? It stiff when washed but will dry soft.

neveradullmoment99 · 26/05/2019 15:49

If youve missed a bit, you could do it again. I have a hush shirt ive stained with oil and did this and it all came out. Ive done it twice.

neveradullmoment99 · 26/05/2019 15:50

Its made of similar material.

Huffthepuff · 26/05/2019 15:52

Hope your foot heals quickly @twosoups1972. Saltwater will work it's magic I'm sure. Talking of Salt water... Office have 20% off summer shoes at the moment, use code SUMMER20. I just ordered some gold saltwater sandals 😉
I'm going to return the Bryce Culottes, I've decided. I'd really like a pair of the moritz jeans but they will have to wait

Huffthepuff · 26/05/2019 15:53

Oh really Never? Great, I will have to dig out the iron.

CakeInMyFace · 26/05/2019 16:07

Thanks so much @SoyYo, will experiment with some different tops with them, like the idea of some silky cami ones too. I'm a big fan of the half tuck thing, realised I have the hush white tee with faces on which I'll try. So many things I'd like to buy, I love the look of the bo top but v expensive!

I

Ellapaella · 26/05/2019 16:59

@CakeInMyFace I wear my harems with cropped t shirts as well as the waist band is so high it hides my mum tum nicely. They also look great with a denim jacket.

Oops you can all see my photo stream in those pics
@Huffthepuff what a shame about your jacket! Did you try the washing up liquid trick? That usually works for me.
Love everyone's buys - just catching up with thread as I'm away at the moment and been a bit busy. @dontcallmelen love that Matalan jacket!

CakeInMyFace · 26/05/2019 17:08

Thank you @Ella! Love that top it's beautiful. I hadn't thought of shorter tops to try, but will give it a go so thank you for the suggestions!

Ellapaella · 26/05/2019 17:11

I've just ordered this dress from TopShop https://m.topshop.com/en/tsuk/product/clothing-427/dresses-442/black-and-white-starlight-spot-smock-dress-8815888 - just to try you understand 😉

Thanks huff for the office code .I have ordered the olive saltwaters.. I liked them before when I got the rose gold but 20% off makes another pair( very slightly more) justifiable.. Grin
