Would you wear these trainers? Please also say roughly what age you are.

I'm mid thirties and I wear them a lot with jeans but my DH thinks they are for grannies

I'm with your DH. I'm 50 and wouldn't wear them.

NeutralJanet · 11/05/2019 13:27

I'm not keen on them, they remind me of orthopaedic shoes. Also mid thirties.

AnotheChinHair · 11/05/2019 13:27

I wouldn't
Late 40s
I don't think they're for grannies, more for grandpas Grin

Baloonphobia · 11/05/2019 13:28

Mid 30s here. They're too old for me too.

BlueMerchant · 11/05/2019 13:28

39 No.

PeachNut · 11/05/2019 13:29

Late 49s. No.

Madbengalmum · 11/05/2019 13:29

40's and yes they look suitable for an old person!

RaptorWhiskers · 11/05/2019 13:29
  1. No, they look orthopaedic imo.
speedbird55 · 11/05/2019 13:30

Older than you and no I wouldn't wear them , having said that if you like them and are comfortable wear what you want , not for your husband to police what you can feel you want to wear

OhioOhioOhio · 11/05/2019 13:30

40s and I wear boring shoes. Your dh is right.

Sparrowlegs248 · 11/05/2019 13:30
  1. No. I don't think the colour helps!
Tumilnaughts · 11/05/2019 13:31

I would for that style but that particular colour makes them look like old lady shoes. I'm 30.

LarryGreysonsDoor · 11/05/2019 13:31

I’m in my 40s and they look like something your nan would wear or like someone who working in a hospital washing down the operating theatre.

GimmeBread · 11/05/2019 13:31

50 and fugly! Not me - the trainers.

I am 50 and fabulous don't you know?! 😉

Lanaa · 11/05/2019 13:33

They're not particularly nice: I think it's the shade of beige. I'm with your DH but if you like them, then that's all that matters.

GimmeBread · 11/05/2019 13:33

If it's the casual slip-on-ness you like, go for Vans. My 21 yo DD buys them for me!

Chickydoo · 11/05/2019 13:34

The colour is vile. If they were silver or black I would wear them

baabaamoomooneigh · 11/05/2019 13:35

I should have said mine are a different colour , but I can't find a photo of the correct colour

Will try to find one

CountFosco · 11/05/2019 13:35

I wouldn't and I'm in my late 40s. But there's nothing inherently uncool about vans style trainers.

AuntieDolly · 11/05/2019 13:37

What colour are yours? I am 57 and steer clear of anything in beige.

SoupDragon · 11/05/2019 13:37

I should have said mine are a different colour

Personally, it's not just the colour.

CaptainPovey · 11/05/2019 13:38

Awful. No and I am 53

IHaveBrilloHair · 11/05/2019 13:38

41, absolutely not.

LIZS · 11/05/2019 13:39

No, my pensioner dm might wear similar!

baabaamoomooneigh · 11/05/2019 13:39

Found a picture now of the correct colour. They are slightly different (the first picture was the closest I could find at the time)
