Would you wear these trainers? Please also say roughly what age you are.

I'm mid thirties and I wear them a lot with jeans but my DH thinks they are for grannies

Late 20's and think they'd be fine in black or proper white but not beige or off white. They are one of those strange styles that only seem to work up until mid 30's though - then become awful.

Redcrayons · 11/05/2019 20:55

48 and no

And they’re not trainers, they’re comfy slip ons.

TheChineseChicken · 11/05/2019 20:55

I haven't LOLd this much in a long time

Bloomburger · 11/05/2019 20:57

God no they look like shoes a granny would wear with beige nylon slacks. I'm 44.

WindsweptEgret · 11/05/2019 20:59

35 and no. My 85 year old grandmother wears similar but nicer ones, sorry.

WindsweptEgret · 11/05/2019 21:03

My grandmother wears ones like TuppenceTwo posted.

Tigger001 · 11/05/2019 21:08

My Nan has a similar pair but in blue and she is 83, so she is either trendy for her age or they are an "older" persons shoe.

I most definitely wouldn't wear them but I never wear lower than a 4" heel, so bit your norm either

cocomelon23 · 11/05/2019 21:09

My grandad wears something like these. He is 94.

Fairylea · 11/05/2019 21:10

No, I’m 38 and wouldn’t wear them. I am currently wearing Nike Air Force ones in a pale grey suede.

Somersetlady · 11/05/2019 21:12

I’m 40s. My FIL has a similar pair and I wouldn’t borrow them.

PickAChew · 11/05/2019 21:15

They do look like something my MIL would have worn. It's the beige and holes thing.

Bananasandchocolatecustard · 11/05/2019 21:18

No, I’m 59

exWifebeginsat40 · 11/05/2019 21:21

those shoes should only be worn on a cruise.

CathyorClaire · 11/05/2019 21:21

No. And I am old enough to be in the ballpark target demographic.

Skechers Go Walk and associated knock-offs can take a hike.

Mumma111 · 11/05/2019 21:28

They are just hideous

Sarcelle · 11/05/2019 21:37

Your DH is right. I am 53, would not wear them.

Soontobe60 · 11/05/2019 21:45

My user name describes me perfectly. These are the trainers I've just bought. The shoes you've got are, quite frankly, hideous.

Just watched the Sara Cox show from this weekend and she was wearing a sparkly pair of these! She's 44 and I think she's pretty stylish myself. So I think it's more about whether you can pull it off like she did.

Inawholeofdoom82 · 11/05/2019 23:28

Late 30s and I live in trainers. No. No. Definitely no.

Dora26 · 11/05/2019 23:56

50s and no way - yuk!

Mumma111 · 12/05/2019 07:53

@Soontobe60 they're fab, I wear these all the time, I'm 38. Work with everything from jeans to dresses. Great style!

Bedsheets4knickers · 12/05/2019 08:00

Christ no , they are horrific

kbPOW · 12/05/2019 08:04

Not even for a bet! They're hideous.

holibab · 12/05/2019 08:14

45 and I wouldn't be caught dead in them, they're hideous.

LolaSmiles · 12/05/2019 09:28

They're awful. Another vote for your husband here.
Sorry, there are so many other comfy trainer brands to have.
