Would you wear these trainers? Please also say roughly what age you are.

I'm mid thirties and I wear them a lot with jeans but my DH thinks they are for grannies

I think young and trendy style could carry them, anything slightly off that and granny!

Bringbackthestripes · 11/05/2019 13:59

46- No and I wear sketchers, which are apparently for old people!
The pic you posted look like ones my DGM had when she was in her mid 70’s.

jp237 · 11/05/2019 14:01

36 - definite no.

TrickyKid · 11/05/2019 14:02

No. My 75 year old mum hasn't progressed to this sort of thing yet. Awful

MargotLovedTom1 · 11/05/2019 14:03

Agree with pp who said they're operating theatre attire!

PrimeraVez · 11/05/2019 14:26

It’s not the shape - that’s no different to slip on Vans which all the hip kids wear. It’s the colours and the hole-y pattern that makes them look like something you would order from the catalogue that comes with the Sunday papers.

Ihatemyseleffordoingthis · 11/05/2019 14:32

Mum mum 81 would and be comfy
My teenage daughter and early 20s hipster artist mates could pull them off and somehow look great
Anywhere in between - terrible

BellaVita · 11/05/2019 14:34

I am 54 and wouldn’t wear them. They look frumpy.

sleepwhenidie · 11/05/2019 14:37

No-hideous! And I wouldn’t describe them as trainers either Confused

pineapplepatty · 11/05/2019 14:40

My Nan has them but in a different colour

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 11/05/2019 14:43

No. Sorry but I think they are absolutely hideous.

Wellhellothere101 · 11/05/2019 14:43

My MIL wears these and she is 78 (but very stylish!)

Girlinajumpsuit · 11/05/2019 14:54

I like them and the colour! Think shoes in this colour are great as go with everything! I'm 34

Bluntness100 · 11/05/2019 15:00

It's a no from me, I'm fifty. It's a no from my 21 year old daughter also.

They do indeed look like they come from one of those catalogues you get in the Sunday papers. They might be in the style of vans but they miss the mark by a long way and have tipped into being the actual style of archetypical old lady with foot problems shoes.

Verite1 · 11/05/2019 15:09

Early 40s. No way!

nothingwittyhere · 11/05/2019 15:09

Navy or black would be ok. Late 40s. I hate anything beige though.

EskeewdBeef · 11/05/2019 15:12

They're coach tripper shoes.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 11/05/2019 15:13

Nope! Don’t mind a plimsol but these are hideous

2cats2many · 11/05/2019 15:14

I'm in my 40s and I wouldn't wear them.

formerbabe · 11/05/2019 15:15

37...no

It's actually not the style I dislike...it's the colour and the tiny holes.

I've seen lots of nice shoes in that style though.

Ferret21 · 11/05/2019 15:19

I would in a dark colour and I'm age 44. But I think the pale colours like tan and beige age them a bit? Sorry, just being honest. I think pale pink would transform them to something else much more wearable.

flowery · 11/05/2019 15:20

No. I am 43

TheCanterburyWhales · 11/05/2019 15:21

Good lord.
I am 53 and wear Ecco and Skechers happily, but they are off the scale.
My 75 yr old mother wouldn't either.

MadCatLadee · 11/05/2019 15:22
  1. Yuk!
Thequaffle · 11/05/2019 15:22

I’m mid thirties and I wouldn’t wear them
