So be honest and let me know what you think. Also what would you think if you saw this on someone? Who do you think would wear this to a wedding? Eg age etc

It’s maybe a tad to bridal to wear as a guest.

HappyDinosaur · 25/04/2019 16:18

I really like it but agree with p.o., it would make a lovely bridal gown for any age really.

HappyDinosaur · 25/04/2019 16:18

*pp not p.o.

Flobochin · 25/04/2019 16:22

It's not correct to wear white/beige to someone else wedding, shame, it's a lovely dress.

bitchfromhell · 25/04/2019 16:26

I think a wannabe bride in their middle age would wear this to a wedding. In fact it's exactly the type of dress my mother would have worn to mine Hmm
I like it though, would be nice for another event.

Beenherebefore · 25/04/2019 16:31

I personally don't like the neck or the belt bit. If you had to i'd have one or the other not both.
I also think it's not the right colour for a guest to wear. I wouldn't do it.
As for who I think would wear this, someone in their late 50s - early 60's who is a bit straight, a bit prim and proper and doesn't let her hair down.

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 25/04/2019 16:34

Too bridal

Smurfie12 · 25/04/2019 16:47

Can I ask where is this from ?

tierraJ · 25/04/2019 17:42

No looks too bridal.

RomaineCalm · 25/04/2019 17:45

I really like it and with the right bag and shoes it wouldn't look particularly bridal.

I'd wear it if I was 5ft8 and a slender size 10 rather than a busty short arse.

Expressedways · 25/04/2019 17:52

Ok as a wedding dress- I’d probably think older bride and a smaller wedding

Definitely not ok for a wedding guest - since you asked I’d think anyone wearing it as guest was trying to steal limelight from the bride

Pinkyyy · 25/04/2019 17:53

Absolutely not as a guest so someone else's wedding!

ChateauneufDuTwat · 25/04/2019 17:55

Too bridal.

Also rather matronly and WASP-y.

SandAndSea · 25/04/2019 17:57

Could be lovely for a bride.

Bellsandwhistle · 25/04/2019 18:06

Omg fairly unanimous then! I was worried it was too mother of the bride but hadn’t thought re wannabe bride!! 😂
If it helps I’m living in Ireland now where weddings are usually more dressy than England. So it’s the colour that’s made you all think bridal?
From invitations by Veni for whoever asked. Where are you think of wearing it?’

I also have a summer ball so thought kill two birds with one stone!!

Love it. Very grace Kelly. I'd wear it.

MissLadyM · 25/04/2019 18:08

Love it but it's not right for a wedding. I'd wear it any other time though with a bright belt & jaunty scarf

babysharkah · 25/04/2019 18:14

Lovely but you can't wear it to a wedding!

Bellsandwhistle · 25/04/2019 20:50

Can I ask why not for a wedding? Is it just the colour?

OP posts:
Pinkyyy · 25/04/2019 20:57

Not just the colour OP, even though that's enough to rule it out on it's own. The material and shape are both just too bridal.

Beenherebefore · 25/04/2019 21:05

No it's not just the colour!

Stormwhale · 25/04/2019 21:11

Can you really not see that the dress looks too bridal? It's the colour, the material, the style, all of it. Are you not keen on the actual bride or something?

millythepink · 25/04/2019 21:47

Far too bridal looking. Out of all the hundreds of colours, why on Earth choose white/cream?

Bellsandwhistle · 25/04/2019 22:11

No I like the bride she’s family. Have not seen anything I liked as much as this. It’s just very me but I’m taking the largely unanimous views on board!
