SOTD is Freeway, in advance of my FB arriving hopefully today!

Am on the train to work and experiencing severe misophonia due to the two men sniffing loudly, every few seconds, next to me and behind me. I want to scream. Why do they do this, revolting creatures???

Love the name Freeway for a perfume but keep on reading Freebird instead! Used to love that song in my teens.
SOTD is Fleur Du Matin again though it's gone cold today. I sampled the new range of M&S Jo malone alikes yesterday. I wasn't impressed as they smelt very similar to generic scents.

My parcel from 4160 Tuesdays arrived! So I have Freeway on one wrist, and Captured by Candlelight on the other. I wish I had bought a full bottle of Captured by Candlelight, as it is just the right side of gourmand for me (I think maybe sweetness is ok but I find berry scents a bit too edible?).

Captured by Candlelight actually smells like Christmas pudding, cognac, oak panelling, candlelight. Weirdly it's not overbearing or too foody, but more atmospheric and comforting.

Freeway is, well, mostly like the smell of burning rubber on me right now (10 minutes in). But why is it so delicious? I want to keep sniffing it. It's now giving way to something gentler and sweeter that's extremely wearable. A chameleon; I bet this also changes with the weather and I want to try it on a really hot day.

I really think Sarah is a slightly mad genius. They are such clever fragrances. I thought they were too clever for me initially (for the head rather than the heart) but when I find the ones where I really like the scent then I reach for them often.

Ooh that Freeway sounds delicious. I can see why it was recommended to me after I mentioned I love the smell of St Pancras, petrol & electricity.
SOTD is Tom Daxon's Iridium. I love this. It actually does smell like a walk in a forest of birch, cedar & pine with a bit of black pepper thrown in. It's making me feel cool as in temperature as I have that cold (that's doing the rounds) & feel all hot & bothered with a cough & crackly chest.

Sotd was one of the roger & gallet colognes. It smells so nice, I wish it came in a edt/edp!

I think I'll put the noir patchouli from my secret sample parcel on this evening. Tried it the other night and it's straight up incense stick at first but then mellows to something beautiful, I love it!

I'm struggling scent wise atm.

Weather is SO weird! One minute it humid and warm, sunny. The next its blowing a gale and rainy and cold.

Pffft.

Nothing seems quite "right" atm :(

I may have to admit defeat with the CVC. There is a note in there I'm just not keen on and I think it's too gourmand for me. Its clever...like so many of Sarah's creations...but perhaps too clever for me.

Ah, well. You live and learn :)

I think I'll stick with my pp by the fireplace for tonight and hope that tomorrow inspiration strikes!!

SOTD is Memoize Superbia. This is one of the Perfume Society samples and it really is fab. It reminds me a lot of Clinique Beyond Rose, a slightly sour, medicinal, oudy rose. If you like your roses dark and spicy it's well worth a crack. Shame it costs a small fortune, though.

My 30ml bottle of Freeway arrived yesterday - I think I will spend much of the summer smelling of petrol and orange blossom

SOTD is Freeway, layered over the end of some Monyette Paris from last night. I love it, I love it! It's such a joyous, real smell and I get so much pleasure from its contrasts (and how well they go together).

You are Mother .Perhaps more of a Perfumista than any of us these days. It's such a lovely obsession to have. I used to waste lots of time going down the perfume rabbit hole on Fragantica . It gave me so much pleasure .....plus quite a lot of cost . I do find however that in real life my friends look quite askance at my Perfumista ways .
SOTD is Fleur du Matin. Though I forgot my oestrogen patch the other day and it smelt skanky !
