I give you...soft soles and lovely leather, flattering on the ankle and not too frumpy!

They are nice but £120, ouch... I bought my first pair of TOMS today, mule style. Have no idea if they'll be comfy. It's the holy grail isn't it, finding style with comfort!

BackinTimeforBeer · 01/04/2019 16:10

I know £120 is outrageous but my feet can't cope with sandals - I get awful blisters and I'm fed up with my Saltwater sandals - so I'll almost pay anything. Blush

Confused

I don't care for those at all. I don't think an ankle strap is flattering. Not on me anyway. I am already very stumpy or leg.

Freshstart40 · 01/04/2019 16:13

I hear you Beer. They are pretty... hope you've bought them!

HaventGotAllDay · 01/04/2019 16:17

ECCO are worth every single penny.
Quite often online offers- currently 40% off a second pair.

BackinTimeforBeer · 01/04/2019 16:21

Ahem... I bought two pairs - with the 40% off, they will last me years!

i say to hell with flattering give me a pair of Merrell sports sandals my gosh they were lovely on a trek through Disney Florida

CCquavers · 01/04/2019 16:51

I will raise you fitflops. They do snow boots as well. It’s like walking on clouds.

Palominoo · 01/04/2019 16:53

I'm 52. I'd look 74 if I wore them. Sorry, its a no from me.

Loopytiles · 01/04/2019 16:55

Ankle straps like that are v unflattering on anyone apart from very slim people with thin legs and small ankles.

CatsinSpace · 01/04/2019 16:57

Seconding Fitflops.
I bought 3 pairs last year in the sale, so about £100 for them altogether.
Fabulously comfy, great for walking, look reasonably stylish.

DD cringes, she says all her friends' mums love Fitflops too. I don't care, I'm 46, I want comfy shoes now Grin

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 01/04/2019 16:57

Oh no, they aren't nice at all and I will wear almost anything that resembles comfy Grin

I've also given up with ECCO as they don't last well ime, she has found the same with his work shoes. They used to be amazing and last for years.

Sorry to piss on your chips OPWink

duckduckgoose2 · 01/04/2019 16:59

I had a pair of Ecco sandals that lasted me 10 years. Gabor or merrell also comfy.

BackinTimeforBeer · 01/04/2019 17:05

Don't worry about pissing on my chips! They look fantastic and flattering on me - but my standards might be low as I normally wear Saltwater or Birkenstocks.

OP posts:
DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 01/04/2019 17:06

I wear Birkinstocks and have just ordered some from Clarks,my standards are way low Grin

It's fab when you find something you can walk in, enjoy!

BackinTimeforBeer · 01/04/2019 17:16

@DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen Show us the Clarks sandals please.

OP posts:
Lungelady · 01/04/2019 17:18

Oh for size 9 narrow sandals

Disfordarkchocolate · 01/04/2019 17:21

I like them a lot but there is no way they would be flattering in me.

BackinTimeforBeer · 01/04/2019 17:22

@Lungelady narrow anything is a nightmare - dd has feet so skinny - she can never find sandals.

Babyfoal · 01/04/2019 17:23

I'm waiting for Skechers to do a comfortable decent sandal

BackinTimeforBeer · 01/04/2019 17:36

I briefly considered the updated Teva - but it still lookstoo much like an adventure sandal.

Don't all laugh at once Wink

BestIsWest · 01/04/2019 17:50

Quite like those Clark’s Un ones.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 01/04/2019 17:52

I'm hoping they're ok, Unstructured tends to be super comfy and that's what I need with my poorly feet!

Palominoo · 01/04/2019 17:54

I like the Clarks ones but I wouldn't wear them. If that makes sense!
