I give you...soft soles and lovely leather, flattering on the ankle and not too frumpy!

I need to join this thread in the vain hope of finding something comfy that doesn't look frumpy. I bought hush puppies last year and 10 mins into walking my toes were raw. Sad I have a wardrobe full of failed sandals that did the same thing. It's so frustrating and I don't know how to buy something that won't hurt much later. I guess I should just wear them around the house. Sigh!

BackinTimeforBeer · 03/04/2019 07:58

@MrsJamin I need to avoid stitching - thick soft leather with no stitching but I have loads of shoes and sandals that I have been unable to wear beyond the front door too and I have shoes that are years old and I have assumed are well broken in only to get massive blisters if the weather heats up. My skin is so fragile.

I've got very narrow feet. I usually tend to go for whatever I think the least ugly pair in Clarks is, ideally with adjustable straps.

I like the pair in the OP but they are horribly expensive, and a bit too formal looking for schlepping around in shorts.

Tortadellanonna · 04/04/2019 05:11

These moshulu ones are very comfortable www.moshulu.co.uk/wasabi-bright-strappy-leather-sandals.html

Petalflowers · 04/04/2019 05:25

my favourite sandal

I prefer closed toe sandals (although surprised my self by liking the Clark willow ones). Love Josef Seibel . Not the cheapest (am always looking for sales) . They last for ages, and are so comfy.

RuggyPeg · 04/04/2019 10:43

Jeez, I need to bleach my eyes. These are all truly awful 🙈

Tunnockswafer · 04/04/2019 11:50

Ruggypeg post a picture of your sandals, then.

HaventGotAllDay · 04/04/2019 12:32

Yes, please do. Then we can all join you in being a twat as we point and laugh.

Lungelady · 04/04/2019 12:55

I am liking the moshalu....how do they fit? Hopefully not wide

RuggyPeg · 04/04/2019 16:21

Jesus, who pissed on your chips FFS. I'm a twat am I cos I pointed out the bleedin obvious - that all the linked sandals are eyesores. Christ on a bike. I get it - stylish AND comfortable footwear is hard to come by but that doesn't change the fact that they've all had a style by-pass.

Tunnockswafer · 04/04/2019 17:18

Ruggy that’s not quite true - men have plenty of stylish and comfortable footwear choice. So why do women not? And what can we do about it - force feet into painful shoes (and walk less as a result) or look for the best comfortable shoe that kind be found? Because heaven help us no one in the world or fashion has any interest in actually changing what is considered stylish for women do it is less of a burden for women’s bodies.

Backseatonthebus · 04/04/2019 17:24

Lungelady I had a pair of Moshulus and they were far too wide for me, my foot slid around in them. White Stuff usually do some very comfy sandals suitable for narrower feet, not sure what they've got this year though.

MsRinky · 04/04/2019 19:10

These for me are super-comfortable straight out of the box and have never rubbed, plus mostly cover my weird toes. I have green and purple ones.

Petalflowers · 04/04/2019 22:09

Fitflop - hideous and so expensive for what they are
Naval Rose - looks bland and not very elegant
Naval leopard - mmm! Hideous. Just looks wrong. An eyesore.
Next - best of the bunch, although I would prefer all silver or all tan.

I wouldn’t say any of yours fits your des ription of ‘stylish and confortable’.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 04/04/2019 22:13

I like my Fitflops Blush

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 04/04/2019 22:13

And they have huge sales so aren't expensive.

Tunnockswafer · 04/04/2019 22:43

Missrinky those are lovely imo

BackinTimeforBeer · 04/04/2019 23:06

Thanks for posting Ruddypeg, they dont look too bad at all, still prefer mine though. Smile

Seriously, if you want sore eyes look at camper sandals, not sure where to start but I looked and I've never seen such monstrous footwear. Can't do links on my phone but have a look and will someone link for a laugh

Fresta · 07/04/2019 11:36

Sorry, but I'm 46- pretty old, and don't know anyone my age who wears such ugly sandals as some that have been posted on this thread- those Yokono ones are shocking!

I wear something like this which in my opinion manages to be comfy without making me look like I'm wearing my 80 year old mother's sandals. I got lots of compliments on them last summer.

Fresta · 07/04/2019 11:36

Sorry- forgot the link- here! www.dunelondon.com/juney-low-block-sandal-0159506660008393/
