I give you...soft soles and lovely leather, flattering on the ankle and not too frumpy!

Clarks ones remind me of Fitflops.

I quite like these for stomping around in

Yes,the sole is very Fit Flop like which is hopeful as they suit my foot ( they just stink to high heaven after a month and I don't even have smelly feet normally!!)

Tunnockswafer · 01/04/2019 18:00

I love those Clark’s ones. I have a pair of work shoes in the Unstructured range which are fabulously comfy (I have plantar facitis) to the point that I’ve been in from work for an hour and haven’t taken them off yet.

BackinTimeforBeer · 01/04/2019 18:01

@Palominoo I loved those Doc sandals but they felt like razor blades on my feet.Sad

Beer
Narrow sandels for DD. Have you tried James Ingles and Special Features? I think some styles are a bit old even for me ( 60+) but some worth looking at.

Palominoo · 01/04/2019 18:04

I've got wide feet but if more manufacturers did half sizes I would be able to buy regular footwear but they done and often a five will fit me in length but far too narrow and a 6 will fit me width ways but too long, which is OK with boots but not with sandals.

AgentCooper · 01/04/2019 18:07

I like them! I had such high hopes for FitFlops but I wore a new pair on a holiday to Barcelona and found them so wide. This resulted in my feet rattling about in them, being cut to ribbons and basically being a huge mess of pus (sorry) and Compeed plasters by the end. I was gutted!

BackinTimeforBeer · 01/04/2019 18:08

@Daisymay2 Thanks but she's only 15! Those shops look a bit mature for her.

Gabor Lanzarote are the best for my feet!

I had a lovely silver pair of sandals from a few years back.

I like these

Here's a link to all their sandals

BackinTimeforBeer · 01/04/2019 18:39

@palominoo I can't wear anything with stitching and the leather has to be soft as hell - otherwise my feet will be ripped to shreds and I have bought too many pairs of sandals in the past that I have never been able to wear, I could never break them in. I can't even wear the Birkoflor Birkenstocks - the fabric gives me blisters - I'm a right princess!

I like the silver Whistles ones.
I was Envy in a lift last year with a woman in Saltwaters- teeny tiny tanned feet and a perfect manicure. That's the only kind of foot sadly that looks good in a Saltwater and they looked blimmin' uncomfortable though I know people say once you've bled for a week or so they're great.
I have fitflop trainers, they're fab but I only buy them when they're down to about £25 in the sale because they don't wear well at all. While the Ecco trainers I have are at least 10 years old. Fitflops lose their shape somehow.

BackinTimeforBeer · 01/04/2019 18:45

Saltwaters don't cause blistering - but they are too firm underfoot.

Tomtontom · 01/04/2019 18:46

Clarks and the first Whistles ones are nice.

The Ecco ones I can't work out if they remind of something for a 8 year old or an 80 year old!

Tomtontom · 01/04/2019 18:47

And have a read up on Ecco and their disintegrating soles.

CountFosco · 01/04/2019 18:51

I will raise you fitflops. They do snow boots as well. It’s like walking on clouds.

I have a pair of fitflops, I find them slightly narrow and I don't like the arch support or the slight heel. But my saltwaters are my dream shoe, nice and flat, like being barefoot (I also have barefoot shoes, oh the bliss).

TheFairyCaravan · 01/04/2019 18:52

I love my Saltwaters. They've never rubbed me, they were comfy from the first wear.

We're on holiday atm and a very young lady walked past in a mustard pair this afternoon. They're lovely and I'll be buying some when I get home.

HollowTalk · 01/04/2019 19:02

This picture in the Daily Fail made me laugh today. One pair of shoes is by M&S and the other was worn by Meghan Markle. According to the DM they are identical. It reminds me of one of those puzzles in Take a Break where you spot the difference.

Auldspinster · 01/04/2019 19:08

I nearly broke my neck falling down some stairs thanks to my ecco sandals.

Badtasteflump · 01/04/2019 19:15

Maybe I just don’t ‘get’ what makes a nice sandal, but they look pretty frumpy to me - and £120? Shock

And so what if they last ten years - I have £20 sandals from Asda that have lasted that long!

BackinTimeforBeer · 01/04/2019 19:51

If I could wear £20 sandals from Asda- that’s what I’d do too!
