Most flattering Capri trousers ......thought I would share

Ignoring the bid-tastic store these come from - these are the best trousers I have found for yonks and are perfect for apples as they just pull on without a fixed waistband.

They are like leggings in that they need an arse covering top but the EASE of wear is something special. (Sighs in a good way)

Anyhoo really flattering, wash well and in a whole array of colours. Not sheer at all either. Oh yes and they make legs look thinner too unlike jeggings.....

Drumroll..... Roman Originals cropped stretch trousers.....

😁

Obviously they look gopping with tacky heels but flats are the way forward.

I can’t see how these could look flattering on anyone except the long, toned, and lean. I could be wrong though....

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 01/04/2019 15:32

I am a short arse/apple shaped size 14. 😀 They might work for you , they might not. I have been seriously impressed so thought I would recommend them. It is not a shop I would normally shop in.....

I'm always looking for Capri style not leggings being a total short arse . So may try a pair .. but I don't think I'll tell anyone where they come from Winkis the sizing true?

FlibbertyGiblets · 01/04/2019 15:38

Might have to trot myself to a store soonies. The prev best capri trews I had were from ASDA about 6 years ago so hunt is on.

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 01/04/2019 15:43

No ... don’t tell a soul 😉😄

Sizing is true to my mind. They look small when you get them but they are really stretchy so accommodate. Forgot to mention -they don’t get baggy over the course of the day either.

I have bought the dark grey, taupe, navy and black so far.... waiting for white ones to arrive.

I'm definitely getting these , I've worn my navy H&M ones to death , although I had to go up a size ..so I'll order a 12 and say a huge thank you in advance Smile what's there to lose !

MoniqueTonique · 01/04/2019 16:07

I have these! I wore them a lot last Summer. I'm a 14-16 pear shape with chunky legs and they work well with a floaty top. (I couldn't care less where they're from, I have no shameGrin)

Noloudnoises · 01/04/2019 16:10

@PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair could you bring yourself to do a picture of the bottom half of you. Am intrigued by these (short arsed apple too!)

Please?!

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 01/04/2019 19:27

high 5’s Monique. I wear mine with swing tops or tunics. I LOVE a tunic. Skims past any apple do da stuff going on in the middle. I personally find The White Company is cut well for my shape.

Noloud I am not a selfie person but will try tomorrow 😁

At last. My old ones were beyond the pale I thought no-one made them any more, are they true to size or should I go up or down a size.

BTW I am short but as others have said just wear something to cover up your bum if self conscious.

justasking111 · 01/04/2019 19:36

So many colours, oh feel like a kid in a sweet shop. Fake tan needed now.

BlueMerchant · 01/04/2019 19:39

I can imagine them taking me into camel toe territory. I best not risk them.

justasking111 · 01/04/2019 19:40

Just had a look at M&S... yawn...

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 01/04/2019 19:41

Just asking.... true to size I would say but they won’t be overly voluminous if you go up a size.

I want the chocolate, stone and ivory ones next....

I've just ordered two chiffon work tops from Bon Marche

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 01/04/2019 19:44

blue They need that area covered to look flattering IMHO. However they are nice and high waisted so stay put without, erm ‘defining’ the area 😀

I'm impressed at the variety of colours they come in but normally when items of clothing (or footwear) hit you part way up/down the leg, it just serves to make your thighs look bigger, I find...

justasking111 · 01/04/2019 19:47

I bought some wide legged pants a few months ago ironically they made me look huge, awful look.

TroysMammy · 01/04/2019 19:50

OP I haven't heard the word gopping for years. It used to be the word of choice whilst growing up. Are you from South Wales?

Ellieboolou27 · 01/04/2019 19:51

Op I could kiss you!!! I'm an apple and find it so hard to find trousers, I end up living in leggings and tunics, I'm off to get some tomorrow as I pass that shop. What shoes though???

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 01/04/2019 19:51

Problem- not these ones to my mind as they have a little side split and hem which from how it hangs elongates. I only wear mine with at least mid thigh length tops though- like you would leggings.

Can I tell you a secret
I bought a pair of Roman sparky rose gold Sparkly Sandles for a Christmas party , my daughter thought they were Gina costing £300- £400. Daughter was amazed when I whispered where I bought them.

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 01/04/2019 19:56

Troy 😀 time it was resurrected me thinks! I went to uni there.... good spot.

Ellie I think they work with ballet flats, strappy flat sandals and white converse for casual. Oh yes and clogs.
