@Thedarklady, well it started off about hush but has taken on a life of its own, it encompasses life, death & everything in between welcome😍

neveradullmoment99 · 25/03/2019 22:03

@Thedarklady, it is about everything but primarily fashion chat but not solely about hush. Can be about any brand. Welcome :)

Thedarklady · 25/03/2019 22:05

Thank you @dontcallmelen and neveradullmoment99

@Twosoups1972 Sorry to hear about your daughter. I hope it isn't as bad as the nurse and head of dance think it is.

SoyYo · 25/03/2019 22:12

@darklady (love your name) it’s about life and the universe and fashion and even Hush 🤣 come join us!

Well so many news to catch up with.
You never fail to make me Smile

@never love Fiat 500! Slightly jealous here (even though I do love my red Alfa Romeo Gulietta). And I’m with you on the zingy zebra Hush print. Can you post a pic of the shirt to enable me?
On the petition of course! As if! Grin

@soups Flowers as you know my DS is struggling with MH issues. Up and down. It’s very very exhausting not just for them but also for us. Thinking of you and DD. Remind yourself she’s made huge progress and it’s a twisty road of ups and downs in between. She’ll get there with your love and the professional support.

Thanks Fuzzy i adore your turquoise dress btw

@grannycake you looked amazing in the jumpsuit and wished I’d caught up earlier so I could spot you amongst the million marchers Grin

@ella love the white T on you (but you can wear bin bags and look fab) and the Northumberland coast is one of my favourite places in the U.K.

@laska you will get to enjoy many lovely EU holidays in your campervan. @SoyYo is an activist on your behalf (yes I’m the one who writes to the Speaker and MP’s and has become a nutter activist 💪). And you know how much I relate to “family issues”.

@Miffy I love SA and looking forward to your news on your holiday prep

@len your advice on MH is always timely and so useful. Thank You.

@justi have you started your nursing assignment?

@Not thanks for the 👍 on the leggings. I’ve returned the squirrel Beatrice for an XS as I love the colour.

@cherries I concur you’re an inspiration and could easily build a second (third?) career as a weight loss coach. And keep the Rose jumper, I wore it last week and love it even more now than when I first bought it.

So since I’m not travelling this week with work I’ll have a look at Hush before the discount code runs out and see if I can get my fashion mojo back...

Ellapaella · 25/03/2019 22:32

Ah lovely @SoyYo I wish I knew you in real life, you come across as being such a vibrant person and you have a lovely sunny way about you. I imagine you'd be one of those friends who would be the first person to turn to to share a glass of wine when the chips are down and you'd be guaranteed to make me feel better instantly!

And Len - you too come across as being very kind and thoughtful, you always have the right words to say..

Anyway. @neveradullmoment99 looking forward to seeing some zebra print and I'm
Imagining you looking tres chic zipping around in your fiat, donning sunglasses and dropping in Hush Smile

Soups glad to hear it's not as bad as you first thought.

So... who's got orders on the way? I've just ordered a white pair of the Hush trainers (even though I've already I've got the hevers). I just love them so much. Have also ordered a dress from George which is totally outside my usual comfort zone, but I saw it on another S & B thread and loved it. Have literally no idea what it will be like on me, it has the potential to be awful or amazing!

SoyYo · 25/03/2019 22:40

@Ella always a 🍷at the ready for my sisters. Thank you for the lovely words. And thinking about it I think you have enabled me to try the Hush trainers before the discount code runs out Grin
Cheers! 🥂

GinandGingerBeer · 25/03/2019 22:44

Oh @twosoups what a worry for you, I'm glad it's not as serious as they first made out (which makes you wonder why they didn't hang fire until later in the day so they didn't scare the bloody life out of you Hmm) I hope she's ok, bless her. And you of course Wine
I'm just mad busy at work atm, I've been pulled off to deliver a project across a massive area, so working long hours. I can read all your updates but often don't have the mental capacity left in me to comment so that's why I've not been around much, brain is like cotton wool by 8pm Grin

I have a Fiat 500 Never, love it! You don't get much shopping in the boot though! Grin

ilovecherries · 25/03/2019 23:26

Yay, soy and ginger are back :). I forgot there was a code, must have a little look again.

wearenotacodfish · 26/03/2019 07:36

Hello everyone I've not been around for a while because of my shopping ban. I have been lurking though. Positive thoughts to those going through a difficult time.

I have a spending question for you all. I start IVF on Monday it's my fifth cycle so I know the drill but one side effect is bloating and I can struggle to feel comfortable in my normal clothes. Not a problem at weekends but it can be for a work. Last time I wore Amie's a lot and I am planning on wearing my marina skirt. Any other suggestions of comfortable but work appropriate clothing. I can push the boundaries a bit but need to look smart.

dontcallmelen · 26/03/2019 07:47

Cod oh my sending every best wish & love for Monday💐 not much help re clothing as on a spending ban myself, but I’m sure a few have the casual trousers with a stripe down the side, that sound comfy & smart.
Soy yeahy up the revolution, well done for going on the March I was going to attend, but have been struggling with fatigue so wasn’t up to it.
I did sign the petition & am nearly on first name terms with my MP as have been furiously emailing her.
Ella 😘 would definitely be up for a bit of shindig 🍷🍷with you all this thread is an oasis of kindness & support, especially now when the world appears to have gone quite mad.

GinandGingerBeer · 26/03/2019 08:43

Sending you warm hugs Cod Thanks
Give H&M a try. I have a few A line jersey dresses which are really comfortable and hide the tum. They're just plain with pockets. Wear mine with tights/Chelsea boots of 'cheesecake' shoes as DS2 calls them. (Flatworms with coloured sole)

dontcallmelen · 26/03/2019 08:46

Yy H&M & also is it the ivy hush dress, which is loose fit as well.

GinandGingerBeer · 26/03/2019 08:49

Flatworms?!? Grin
Well I suppose they'd be soft under foot!
Should be Flatforms Smile

ilovecherries · 26/03/2019 09:08

The Seasalt millpond dress might work as well, cod - size down though. Lots of good wishes.

dontcallmelen · 26/03/2019 09:16

Ewww squashed worms 😂

Laska2Meryls · 26/03/2019 09:24

Fallen off the Fred!
Just peeking while I am at work, I'll post later.. no clothes spending here , but the lovely weather is making it more tempting..Am wearing my black white striped wide top today .

dontcallmelen · 26/03/2019 09:39

Beautiful day here as well, my kitchen is actually quite balmy with the warmth of the sun coming through the doors, I really really wanna buy some lovely bright summer stuff

SoyYo · 26/03/2019 10:56

cod sending positive vibes your way. You’re a no spend but anything with an elasticated waist or flowing shape will help you.

So...can you believe it? Despite my best efforts to sabotage myself (was told at first interview that Paris is the only option, Barcelona is out) I have a second interview with the key business partner (global head of strategy) next week...what’s a girl to do? 🤷‍♀️

Laska2Meryls · 26/03/2019 11:14

Soy Just tell them that you went for it because of the possibility of Spain and that was the deciding factor in you doing so. and now Barcelona is off the table, you have decided for family reasons that a move to Paris is now not feasible.. Then ball is in their court , . If they don't want to , then you have your get out with no face lost on either side

Laska2Meryls · 26/03/2019 11:16

Something to be said for being a low paid minion like I am Grin

twosoups1972 · 26/03/2019 11:37

Welcome thedarklady come and join us! As others have said, it started with Hush but quickly drifted into other brands and LIFE Smile

twosoups1972 · 26/03/2019 11:44

Thank you never I'm sorry to hear about your brother and ds. MH is so much harder than a physical illness and you end up feeling so helpless.

Soy how is your ds doing? Agree it's exhausting for us, at a bad time for them, it totally consumes you. I started wondering all sorts of things last night, turning myself into an armchair psychologist. Luckily dh is much less emotional and more practical than I am.

Thank you gin and nice to see you back. Hope work is going ok and you are managing to get some rest!

twosoups1972 · 26/03/2019 12:03

codfish sending you hugs and lots of luck for Monday. One of my neighbours went through IVF recently and I just got a glimpse how gruelling it can be. Feel free to offload here any time, we are all here to support you Flowers

Clothes-wise - would a loose-ish dress work? Either knitted or jersey?

twosoups1972 · 26/03/2019 12:08

gin just saw your jewellery link on another thread - really beautiful! Very tempted but I've said so many times - I MUST NOT BUY ANY MORE BRACELETS/BANGLES Confused
