soy, I'd also take the line of your initial application was based on Barcelona being a possibility. Assuming of course that you would want it if Barcelona was offered. And well done for being brilliant anyway :)

wearenotacodfish · 26/03/2019 12:39

Thank you for all your suggestions I am looking through them now. I like they are easy to get on and off at appointments too. I am no spend but DH basically lets me have whatever I like when we are doing treatment I think it's because he has to inject me so much and feels bad.

SoyYo · 26/03/2019 12:41

Ah Thanks @cherries and @laska for the words. DH when I told him about making it to the final round just smiled and said “I knew you’d do it” and I think he’s so tired and fed up with his work atm that even Paris is a good option. He deserves to stop as he’s 5 years older (62 now) and with his motorcycle foot injury he’s soldiered on for the last 10 years since his accident.
DS2 (who’s home with MH issues) also seemed quite excited and said he’d swap Brighton for Paris Wink
I still think they’ve put me through with another candidate which is probably the preferred one just to make it a no brainer...I’m really not at all sure I need more stress and high powered/high visibility jobs at this stage in my life. The only other positive would be to change to a French contract of employment which with my past 12 years in the company counting towards it would more or less gold plate my future pension. Our FR colleagues really are much better off than we in the U.K. in terms of social and retirement plans. Que será será as I always say.

@soups yes DS2 had some very dark moments last weekend. And has pulled himself out of it this week. But it’ll come again I’m sure. He’s slow in organising therapy and we can’t interfere (other than gentle nagging) and he’s been on medication now for 2 weeks which he says is not making a difference yet but he was told it could take 1 month + to do so. Overall though when I think back to last Jan/early Feb there is a definite improvement and I’m hanging on to that 🙏

ilovecherries · 26/03/2019 12:42

Oh, new stuff on website!

SoyYo · 26/03/2019 13:00

Omg the turquoise leopard print in both dresses! 😍 and leopard scarf in bright colours...what was the 10% code again?Grin

SoyYo · 26/03/2019 13:07

Also like the colour block v neck and stripy jumpers. La Vie en Rose T (predictably Wink) and the paler pink of the new Averil skirt and dress in same fabric though I really can’t wear those shades so I’ll admire from afar.
The shape of the new wide leg jeans is interesting: I guess till someone is brave enough to try we won’t know how it looks on us mere mortals but a very “now” shape.
Good to see a curly girl model too!

dontcallmelen · 26/03/2019 13:27

Crikey Soy well done you⭐️ I think maybe Que Sera is the best strategy.
Glad Ds is organising his therapeutic appointments, medication can be very slow to kick in sometimes could be at least up to eight weeks before he really starts to feel the benefit, as very much depends on what has been prescribed, all you can do is encourage him to preserver with it & good diet & excercise will also help serotonin levels.
Off to torment myself a little more with the new stuff on website😂

dontcallmelen · 26/03/2019 13:54

I like the v neck colourblock jumper, but not sure if the two different coloured sleeves would annoy me though.

twosoups1972 · 26/03/2019 15:34

((hugs)) to you Soy glad to hear there is a general improvement with your ds. What a lovely supportive thread this is Smile

I've ordered a few things from Whistles and Boden but haven't had a chance to try on yet. Will report back.

Lovely summery things from Hush! Nice colours too. I like the blue Merlin linen v jumper and soy agree about the leopard print scarf, so pretty!

ServelikeSerena · 26/03/2019 15:49

Apologies if this has been asked in your thread but has anyone got the Tabitha top? I'm thinking of the blue version, reviews seem divided on the fabric.

twosoups1972 · 26/03/2019 16:31

I got this blouse in the Whistles sale but not sure if it’s too big...?

SoyYo · 26/03/2019 18:46

@soups I think it is a size too big for you? I know with boobage it’s difficult if you size down and then it’s too tight there but fits perfectly elsewhere...I think if you decide to keep it would look better tucked in than loose. Great colour and the v neck is flattering.
Thank you for your support, we’re on the same boat Flowers

And len Thank You too! 🤗

@ServelikeSerena sorry no help on Tabitha here but it looks great. As it’s quite loose I recommend you size down as that Hush style tends to be rather generous...hopefully someone who’s actually tried it can help you.

ilovecherries · 26/03/2019 18:47

serena, I tried the pink tabitha on last season in JL. It was pretty but rather boxy and short.

soups, I think it may be a bit big. Can you do a half tuck to see what its like with the shape softened off a bit?

dontcallmelen · 26/03/2019 18:55

Soups agree with Soy & Cherries, try tucking in if you think going smaller would be a bit snug across boobage.

ServelikeSerena · 26/03/2019 19:08

Thanks Choy & Cherries. I've ordered it now and promise to report back.

Laska2Meryls · 26/03/2019 20:38

lots to catch up on !!

Twosoups , Heres some unmumsnetty ((hugs)) for you... such a worry , I hope your DD can get the help she needs..
Gin good to see you back (yeuch flat worms...I hate worms)
Cod all good luck for the IVF.. yes, Amies are great ,and the Ivy dresses I live in mine , pretty much.

Hello Darklady , Serena and others who are new here , Welcome, Yes, it started about Hush but now we chat about all other stuff/ life - we've turned into a bit of a sisterhood! !!

Never I love those jewel-like Fiats! , there is a garage near DF's which has lots of them all parked out in rows out front, like lovely toy cars.. I really want a mint green one, and I could of course , but we have a perfectly good sensible 'marital' Honda estate ! Just the one car between us (which I drive pretty much all the time), DH doesn't need a car in the city he works in all week and gets the train/boat home at weekends .. I am v.v.Envyof your Gulietta though Soy

HI Len, Cherries . Ella, Miffy, Justlou, Granny , and all I have left out !!

So..... the new Hush drop..
hmm I am wondering if I am just becoming a bit too Halo/boring/ old/ .. I'm just not really tempted ( even really by the outline star T i fancied ).. I also think I am a bit over buying any more leopard print, even the Alvers dress , which is nice, and the Jayne dress , I thought of getting previously.

I do like the Navy Chamonix Chinos , ( but They are too expensive, Bet they will have similar in M&S, Next or Tu , and I do like the Janelle khaki dress, but £75??.. no way , Jose , I expect they will have similar else also ). The Corsica dress is nice, but I'd need new boobs like cherries for that , otherwise too much thick bra strap would be on view.
The Ledbury top is pretty, but again you need small norks, I reckon .
The Josette dress is a great colour , but wouldn't work on me (norks again ) but would be great for you Cod! esp if this round works !!

BTW the Delphine top is just like the ones we all bought in M&S for £15 last summer!

Laska2Meryls · 26/03/2019 20:50

The Contrast Stitch sweat top is also nice, but not £59 nice!

Serin, and Merlin linen jumpers are nice.

Actually the Serin jumper could be a possibility, I reckon it would look nice with last years piquante Santana skirt ..

Ellapaella · 26/03/2019 20:57

@Laska2Meryls I like the contrast stitch sweat but agree way overpriced.
I like a lot of the new stuff but there's a lot of muted pinks and oranges which are really not colours that I can wear they make me look totally washed out.
Looking forward to seeing some of the pretty cami tops that ere on the pr shots.

ilovecherries · 26/03/2019 21:16

I am feeling very Halo as well. There is nothing that I want or need. I think I had so little last year at this time, but now I feel I’ve created a wardrobe I pretty much love. I’m going to clear out all the too-big stuff on eBay and review any gaps. I need to buy new Amies at some point but they are a basic really.

twosoups1972 · 26/03/2019 22:07

Thank you laska

I also like the contrast trim sweat top! Wonder which of us will cave first? Grin

Huffthepuff · 26/03/2019 22:09

Also nothing I really feel I need from the new drop. Some nice bits though.
Received an order yesterday of Keira culottes, tailored wide leg culottes and Layton dress.
Keira culottes are gorgeous! Absolutely love them but had to send back as the 10 was just too tight. But by a tiny amount so I think the 12 would be too big (sobs).
Tailored culottes are fab. I sized up after reading reviews and they are such a good fit. I wore them to work today and felt great. Cheap feeling fabric tho. The Keira's were much nicer although probably both synthetic.
Layton dress also a keeper. Delicate, light fabric and would look good layered or on its own. I get what reviewers are saying about the cut though. It has a touch of maternity about it. Will be wearing my Spanx with this one. Will try and get pics when I have some daylight

neveradullmoment99 · 26/03/2019 22:40

Hello. I quite like a few things on the latest hush clothes. Like the contrast stitch sweat. Its nice. I like a few of the camo things too. Love the black studded sandals. A few things I would consider but maybe not atm.

Laska2Meryls · 27/03/2019 09:29

Fell off the bench!! But only in a small way with a 3 slub Ts in the bright pink and green and one long sleeve in charcoal. I was sent a £20 code so it looks like Mention me has decided I'm ok after all.. I know what *cherries" said about the Debenhams ones but I love the green one esp . ( Also soon Deb's may become another Ruddy sports direct offshoot. )

SoyYo · 27/03/2019 10:58

@Huff I totally agree on the Keira culottes which I bought at £48 in last October sale and foolishly returned as they were too lightweight for AW (and now wish I hadn’t seeing they’re £69 Sad).

@laska I have a £20 voucher too and thinking of the wrap dress (star print) for work and a long sleeved T to go with all my skirts in the spring. Love the pink T too so I’ll be succumbing too and probably do 2 orders: one with 10% discount and one with £20 off as you can’t use both voucher codes in the same order 🤨 I want the white trainers @Ella and @Not got. And the leopard scarf and the dress and the silk shirt but I’ll wait as can’t justify everything at once! Plus I’ve seen a Muubaa leather jacket vastly reduced in the Brand Alley sale I’m lusting after too. As I want to try so much I’m now unable to decide what to get (much like our MP’s and Brexshite...I wonder if it’s contagious? Grin)

ilovecherries · 27/03/2019 11:33

What really pisses me off is how they apply the vouchers. I've had 2 £20 vouchers that I've lost as I needed to change the size, and they don't apply it to the exchange - in fact, they wont DO an exchange, they just refund what you paid. I now only apply them to things like the harems that I know I will be keeping.
