Does anyone have the drop sleeve shirt or the jet frill top they care to tell me about?

twosoups1972 · 23/03/2019 17:41

ella your weather sounds lovely, I agree that the cold isn't too bad if it's nice and bright. I've realised there is so much of the UK I haven't explored yet, we've been to York and the Peak District....I'd like to see more of Yorkshire. Our neighbours did a driving holiday around Yorkshire and they had a great time.

cherries any ideas of what you'd like to do work-wise? Similar to what you were doing before or something new?

twosoups1972 · 23/03/2019 17:56

Mint Velvet have got a sale on at the moment, what are your thoughts on this jumper?

Ellapaella · 23/03/2019 17:59

I like it soups. MV knitwear is very good quality imo.

twosoups it's Joanie.

Sorry..that refers to a post ages ago. Due to a combination of trying to work (despite being mostly retired I'm doing a bit of consultancy) and a flare-up I am soooo tired.

dontcallmelen · 23/03/2019 19:24

Cherries I posted to soon, meant to ask could you scale back a bit maybe making travel a smaller area/client base?
Soups really like the jumper, I like mint velvet knitwear it’s usually good quality as well.
Fuzzy oh poor thing, me & you can sit on a tired bench together hope you feel a bit better soon.

FuzzyPuffling · 23/03/2019 19:45

Thanks Melen. I hope the tired bench is well padded and has hot water bottles! And cats!

I am hoping this flare is coming to an end. It probably would if I wasn't working but even though it's all spreadsheet-based, just the thought of it is making me tired. Still, I am half way through and it is all money! (which is very much needed in this household!)

ilovecherries · 23/03/2019 19:46

I’m not sure, len. Because it’s fairly high level training and consultancy I do, mainly at Board or senior management team level, you need to really travel to get the business. I also teach adult literacy as a volunteer, but that’s geographically tying. I want something that’s more fun (frivolous even),that I can do anywhere. Not asking much, am I! I’m just tired by being serious.

dontcallmelen · 23/03/2019 19:48

Fuzzy definitely well padded & warm, doesn’t matter if it’s not physical work as such when you are having a flare up, even the smallest of activity can be exhausting, try & pace yourself & factor in plenty of rest periods if you can.

dontcallmelen · 23/03/2019 19:51

Aww cherries fun is definitely good, I dunno anything you really like doing/passionate about that could be turned into something.
What about running/exercise/diet/nutrition you are really knowledgeable about all those things.

FuzzyPuffling · 23/03/2019 20:01

cherries could you support people to lose weight? You're such an inspiration and lots of people want a combination of advice and support (and persuasion not to fall off the diet wagon).

You're right "melen". I am only working half a day at a time (and have told the client that they are fine with it). It is quite enough!

FuzzyPuffling · 23/03/2019 20:04

And we did go to the beach for a walk this afternoon...but then I needed a nap when we got home. Honestly, I feel a bit useless! And poor DH - he's not feeling well as he had to have his MMR jab earlier this week. Rubbish household!

dontcallmelen · 23/03/2019 20:44

Aww Fuzzy & Mr Fuzzy, sending healing vibes.

FuzzyPuffling · 24/03/2019 10:26

Cheers "melen". Poor Mr Fuzzy now has a measles rash, has gone deaf in one ear and feels dreadful. He is sleeping.
Even worse rubbish household!
(Still, the sun is shining and I have washing on the line...small wins!)

In other news I was looking at the Next sale online and was quite tempted by some hot pink cigarette trousers. Colour? Me? Yikes.

justilou1 · 24/03/2019 10:56

Good grief! Mr Fuzzy has a rather over-reactive immune system! I hope you have a lot of chicken soup and paracetamol! I hope he’s better soon. We keep seeing people pictured with measles rashes (in the DM) because people aren’t vaccinating properly here in Australia. (Don’t get me started!)
@Cherries... How about mid-life makeovers? You could totally do this for people. Get them inspired to get healthy, get “Hushed” and happy!

dontcallmelen · 24/03/2019 11:08

Fuzzy well at least you have washing on the line, which is one of my favourite things really hope Mr Fuzzy picks up soon sun is shining here as well.
Ooh pink trousers sound fab, go for it.

Laska2Meryls · 24/03/2019 11:29

Cherries I need a mid life makeover!
I just cant wait to leave work , ( but then Ive never done anything remotely high powered so have never found much excitement in work ) ..

ilovecherries · 24/03/2019 11:30

Poor Mr Fuzzy, that sounds horrible. Do you think it IS measles?

ilovecherries · 24/03/2019 11:42

Ah, just noticed he’s reacting to MMR. Poor guy :(

ilovecherries · 24/03/2019 17:45

Well, this what we did this afternoon. Half way to Scarborough for a bracing walk, the car suddenly gave a horrendous bang and started to pour smoke. I grabbed DDog and left DH to evacuate himself. AA man thinks the turbo exploded. Bloody car just out of warranty, having googled the worse case scenario is the engine is a write off. So that was all a bit shit.

I am chuckling somewhat though at the concept of me doing mid life makeovers. I can barely dress myself without consulting the internet! The whole weight loss thing does interest me, and there is a match with my coaching experience, but I'm not convinced it's something people would pay for. I was reading (in the car, waiting for the AA), Tricia Cudsen's story. She created Look Fabulous Forever at 65. Clearly she's invested heavily, and I wouldn't want to risk that, and have no real interest in a product business, but I really resonated with her story. I need a third age career - and not one that is about how to stop board members throttling each other!

FuzzyPuffling · 24/03/2019 18:15

He had a stem cell transplant two years ago and has had to have all his immunisations again as the high dose chemo wiped them all out. This is the last one, and as it is a live vaccine it's the most likely to cause a problem.
He's managed to get to the sofa in time for dinner, so I think he'll be ok.

I'm still thinking about the pink trousers!

cherries I think people would pay for weight loss support. It's such a hard thing to do and many people go to WW or SW for the support, but a one to one system - all the support without the public humiliation - would certainly tick some people's boxes.

FuzzyPuffling · 24/03/2019 18:15

And "YIKES!" to the car. Glad it's only the car!

dontcallmelen · 24/03/2019 19:23

Yy cherries with weight loss support & nutrition/fitness program reckon could definitely be a market for that especially 1-1 personalised approach, yikes about the car.
Aww really hope Mr Fuzzy perks up very soon, try the trousers fuzzy think you could do with a treat at the moment.
Well I roused myself & went for a lovely lunch with Dh, my cousin & his wife, did my hair & makeup smartened myself up with black skinny jeans & a lovely boho style jacket from monsoon that I forgot I had😳

ilovecherries · 24/03/2019 19:41

Hmm, I’m not a nutritionist though. But yes, it’s something along those lines that would appeal.

ilovecherries · 24/03/2019 19:42

And it’s a yes from me re red trousers, fuzzy.
