Thanks SoyYo!

I've ordered the hydrangea pyjamas and the leopard tee.

I'll let you know how I get on 😬 I never knew hush had a tall range, this could be dangerous!

pangolina · 17/03/2019 16:45

Ohhh I am tempted by those khaki trousers now @Ellapaella! They look fab on you. Is the sizing pretty accurate?

Ellapaella · 17/03/2019 17:42

@pangolina I sized up (always do for Topshop). So in most high street shops I take a 10 in trousers and jeans but these are a 12 and a perfect fit.

So this is really strange... are Facebook spying on us via mumsnet? A couple of days ago on this thread I made a comment on how I liked the Aster Kimono then look what popped up on my Facebook just now..,

@Ella it’s more likely that FB has algorithms if you ever go to a website it must be stealing data via cookies and then it comes up on your newsfeed as an advert? Specially if you go to the Hush page on Instagram as they’re both owned by Mark Zuckerberg and they profile users by their “preference” that’s how Cambridge Analytica working with Leave vía FB/Instagram bombarded people to vote during the Referendum Angry

I’ve been working this pm poor me! Sad
I do hope our new voucher looking posters that I sent the links to Will come join us and you’ve enabled me some more 🤣...this thread is indeed dangerous but @melen will keep you on the straight and narrow. 😇

dontcallmelen · 17/03/2019 18:56

Soy 😇 slightly tarnished as I made use of boden & Gap discounts to stock up on summer dresses for dgd, I justified it by saying she needed new summer clothing & wasn’t spending on me😂

SoyYo · 17/03/2019 18:56

@melen were you looking for a Boden discount voucher for dgd shopping to use the other Money off bribe/voucher they sent in the post?

I just noticed a 20% off plus free delivery/returns flyer with my Sunday Times: code R5R4 valid till 27 April 👍

dontcallmelen · 17/03/2019 18:57

Thanks Soy we xposted.

SoyYo · 17/03/2019 18:57

Oh no! Did I post too late??
Sorry I’ve only just spotted it Sad as I was gathering the Sunday papers after working...hope you got a good discount xx

dontcallmelen · 17/03/2019 18:59

Might have to make note of the code though, just in case I think she might need even more stuff!!

SoyYo · 17/03/2019 19:00

I know what you mean @melen when my DC were little I was a complete sucker for Boden kids.
Excellent quality and it even made me want to have a DS just so I could dress her up in the beautiful dresses 🤣 I’m sure your dgd will look adorable (if that’s even possible) 😍

SoyYo · 17/03/2019 19:01

Sorry a DD I have 2 DS already!Grin

ilovecherries · 17/03/2019 19:07

Hello, new people!

Mr&MsLen, happy anniversary, hope you enjoyed lunch.

Soy, good luck with Barcelona!

Never, I loved the jumpsuit but you said you’d already decidedit was going back, so I was trying not to enable. I thought it really suited you.

dontcallmelen · 17/03/2019 19:09

Soy lol I am indeed a complete sucker, for the prints & the traditional look of the clothing, am lucky that dd has the same taste so always likes what I buy & she is very grateful as they really have such little spare money it helps them out & makes me happy.

ilovecherries · 17/03/2019 19:18

Oh, and I got dd to take my 4 week progress photos while I was home. I didn’t realise looking down on them, but I am SO bruised still. I know it’s just old blood but I am green and yellow right down to my belly button, and yesterday I changed all the taping at the same time - the vertical and circular taping tends to last longer than the horizontal, so its not usually all off at the same time. It really is brutal, no wonder I feel delicate. The horizontal wounds are 11 inches long on one side, and 12 on the other. I may have said this before, but I’m just a bit shocked by it. I know it’s down to the size of reduction I had, I know lots of people with much smaller scars. Still glad I had it done, but a bit overwhelmed by it all really.

ilovecherries · 17/03/2019 19:19

And sorry, that was all a bit TMI!

SoyYo · 17/03/2019 19:24

Thanks @cherries hope you’re coping with the nomadic lifestyle, it’s far harder when you’re feeling under par Flowers. I think you’ve been so brave throughout so hang in there the worst is over now.
Indeed @melen your dgd is at such a beautiful stage and your DD is lucky to have you. Happy vibes for many more wedding anniversaries!

Yeah Barcelona would be great (but the move exhausting) but Paris...you know I go there a LOT with work (company I work for is French) and it’s fabulous for a weekend away but actually living there with Parisians...not so sure which was the reason for my hesitation to apply at all. We’ll see they’re getting very demanding lately as evidenced by my having to work a few hours today (and last weekend) and I’m too old for the slippery pole of corporate career advancement

dontcallmelen · 17/03/2019 19:39

Crikey Cherries it sounds really brutal & especially fresh scars are really pretty difficult to look at dispassionately💐
Soy must be tough, as you say the corporate world has always been difficult, but I would imagine it’s even more so now, must admit I know Paris is beautiful, but I dunno im not actually that keen on it, Barcelona though has an altogether different vibe & I think it’s a fabulous city.
Had a lovely lunch, we went to a local Turkish restaurant & is always yummy, we ruminating that we are definitely becoming very sensible as this must have been the most sober we have ever been on St.Patricks day/anniversary in a very long time, one year we were in the Caribbean for our anniversary & they were serving green cocktails by the pool I had to be carried out of the pool & put to bed😳

Laska2Meryls · 17/03/2019 19:51

cherries I have pmd you ...

soy good luck with job interview .. I am a bit Envy that you do have reasonable options of exiting Brexitland.. Sadly I dont.. .. So many people it seems are desperate for UK status still , but with out f*ck up govt sometimes I really do wonder why..

It was really gorgeous this morning here . Dh and i tramped the Downs , lots of skylarks are already swooping and nesting we noticed, which is a good sign of spring really being here .. In fact we have spent quite a lot of the weekend out walking even though it has been blustery . ( we are lucky in having fab coast and countryside right on the doorstep) , .. But about 2 pm today we had a Mahoosive hail shower! ( luckily we were back home by then) .. weird weather, but then it is March..

No spends here, (but I do have an ebay bid in ) .. I am holding onto my money for BR!! (not the other 'faux pas acronym' - Am still Blushabout that ..)... I dint tell you, that when I mentioned the 'other initials' to DH to ask him what he thought it meant the other evening, he looked kind of hopeful! No way, Jose! Grin

Happy wedding anniversary Len , are you going out anywhere nice to celebrate?

Ella I love the chinos

Laska2Meryls · 17/03/2019 19:53

I really Like the Holey red Jumper never . But Ho ,Hum... Am being good..

Laska2Meryls · 17/03/2019 20:01

Len Ive just seen your update, lunch sounds fab , better than Green Cocktails ! 🤢

dontcallmelen · 17/03/2019 20:23

😂 definitely Laska never drank a green drink since, you did make me laugh with MrLaska response to your mixed up abbreviation.

Laska2Meryls · 17/03/2019 20:33

Len He's a bloke, what else can you expect (but well out of luck - it wasn't his birthday or Christmas, see !!) 😂😂🤣🤣

dontcallmelen · 17/03/2019 20:34

Meant to say your walk sounded lovely today, we had mad hailstones here today as well, yy the madness that is brexit especially the last few days I never had much faith in politicians, but I have to say I’m throughly depressed at the moment it’s just so wrong what is being allowed to happen, its like the stars are aligned for complete disaster with May who appears certifiable/right wing nutters/DUP & Corbyn it’s bloomin scary.
