Thanks for reminding me about St Paddy’s Day! That means it’s also my nephew’s birthday! I have scurried off and phoned him. He is a teenager so it was a brief call. Spoke to lovely SIL, so was fab phonecall! Happy anniversary @Ella & @Melen! Just went back in time to see the dress and jumpsuit @Never, and loved them both (esp the dress, but it’s leopard, so that’s not much of a stretch for me, is it?) Took my big girl to UNIQLO today and she was most put out to find that I had already purchased some trousers that she wanted. At 14.5, this is simply NOT cool at all. I offered to share them, but she was underwhelmed. She compromised and chose another colour. While I am secretly chuffed that we are the same size now thanks to my weight loss, she is definitely not opening up that can of worms. At least she is still growing!!! I have given up on my arms entirely, @Cherries. I am glad sun-dodging is my favourite pastime. They will never be uncovered again.

@Ella, Paris is lovely, but can see the appeal for Barcelona for sure!!! Something special about both, but Barcelona seems, just..... more..... gezellig?

@justi my preference would be Barcelona too as I have family there (grandma was born in Aragón but lots of Cataluña family too) but concerned they’ll insist on París which would not be so much fun for DH (his French is non existent whereas his Spanish or even Catalan language comprehension is okay)...we shall wait and see, que será será.

Getting all packed to go back to England. Once I’m there and unpacked (again!) , I’m absolutely fine, but I always feel sad at this point. I miss just having my own furniture around me, all my own books, the beach, house decorated to my taste, not corporate magnolia etc etc.

Thanks for the thumbs up on the dress. I am going to wear it tomorrow to work as well. I really like it.
Thanks for the comments on the jumpsuit @melen, @soyo and @Just. Was beginning to think it was awful as no one had really commented on it Tbh, I cant really afford to keep it atm so will consider it again when I am more svelte, which is what I am aiming for.

@cherries, must be hard moving up and down the country. Will you ever just come back to Scotland for good? Hope all your aches and pains from surgery are settling down.
So tempted to order something else from Hush but am sitting on my hands. I'm not really sure what I like from them at the moment but may have a naughty browse later on before the money off of items fades away. I love the red holey jumper. Thought Id found a dupe in Asda but in real life, its nothing like that gorgeous red jumper. I really don't want to spend that kind of money but it is utterly gorgeous. That and the cashmere one.

I think hush do a great job on their jumpers. I am always wanting at least one of them...

Well, it was only meant to be for two years, but has already been extended a year till August this year and will probably be extended again till 31 Dec. At which point DH says we are coming home, whether he has finished or not.

@melen I had a look on the Next website but the only one I can see is one that is quite 'patterned' and not really me. Its also orange as opposed to red. Although it does look red in the picture.

never that’s similar, the one I got was 100%cotton & in white but they also did it in red, it was just after Christmas so maybe it was winter stock.
