😂 ooh love a bit of 10cc, I bought I’m not in love from Woolworths out of my pocket money, was pining over the local heartthrob who wouldn’t even give me the the time of day.

ilovecherries · 15/03/2019 23:18

I really enjoyed it.

dontcallmelen · 15/03/2019 23:44

That’s good cherries, they were always a really good band.

justilou1 · 16/03/2019 01:47

Hi everyone.... nothing to report from Australia other than the fact that it is FINALLY raining here!!! (This is so exciting! Normally summer is our wet season and we have had nothing until now. It’s sub-tropical here and it looks like a desert!) Unfortunately it doesn’t mean that it’s cooler. It’s just hot and wet! Going to see Captain Marvel later today with the herd, which I’m pretty excited about. It’s been a long week, but it’s paid off as I am going to be doing my first clinical placement three months early! (Very flattered to be offered the chance!) I am going to start at the end of next week, which is good, as I want it over and done with. Am rather nervous!

ilovecherries · 16/03/2019 09:13

Argh! Just caught sight of my arms this morning. Bloody hell. I worked so hard on them all the time I was losing weight to keep them semi decent. A month out of the gym and they have collapsed. And at least another month before I can start again. Age and weightloss are not good bedfellows. Plus my boobs are no longer providing any side coverage so I can see them in all their glory.

Ellapaella · 16/03/2019 11:27

Khaki paperbag trousers have arrived. I have to say I'm so pleased with these. They are really soft material and I think a lovely fit. I was a bit worried they may not be so flattering on my waist but actually I like them. Definitely need a top that tucks in though.

Oh, these are lovely on you, ella.

Ellapaella · 16/03/2019 11:32

Haven't quite mastered the art of the 'tie' yet!

OP posts:
Ellapaella · 16/03/2019 11:32

Thanks cherries - they are so soft, think they will be a lovely fabric for warmer weather.

justilou1 · 16/03/2019 11:44

Love the trousers and especially love the sandals @Ella!!!!
How are your stitches, @Cherries? Sounds like a great way to cook up an infection if you’re not on top of it. Must have been fun going out dancing with new boobs!
Smiling at your innocent mortification, @Laska. I’m only smiling because normally it’s me.

dontcallmelen · 16/03/2019 12:56

Just well done you must have impressed them.
Cherries yy arms I just try & ignore😳, that’s one of the issues of age v weight loss I find, I’m slowly collapsing does anyone else have wrinkly knees or is it just me.
Ella the trousers are fab, yy tucked in top I have a khaki paperbag skirt & definitely looks a bit odd with an untucked top

twosoups1972 · 16/03/2019 16:20

Just catching up

never I love that dress on you Smile

ilovecherries · 16/03/2019 18:54

We’d been planning on seeing my mum and dad today but they are snowed in, so took the opportunity of an unexpected day in Scotland to sort out my summer clothes. Too soon to do the seasonal swap but wanted to see what I needed. Pleasantly surprised to discover most things are fine. My maxi panel dresses are def too big - the armholes are open to the bottom of my bra band so they will need replaced for our holiday, unless it’s feasible to alter them. The Greek widow dress is oddly too tight on the bust, so I’m guessing that’s down to the 5% viscose shrinkage Hmm. But really nothing I need for the first time since I started ‘my journey’ 🤷‍♀️😂. Gaps I’d like to fill are an oversized cotton shirt, black or navy cigarette pants, another pair of marseilles shorts and white clunky trainers. Plus a few necklaces. So if I stick to that, I shall have a Halo.

ilovecherries · 16/03/2019 19:43

Oh - and nice sunglasses. Halo now lopsided.

ilovecherries · 16/03/2019 19:49

And a straw/raffia bag. Oops.

Ellapaella · 16/03/2019 19:57

When's your holiday cherries? Nice to have an excuse to buy new holiday clothes.
I want to buy a dress for Rome - needs to be slightly below knee and suitable for dressing up or casual wear.

Hello my lovely Hush friends! Smile
Sorry I went quiet but work, Paris and the Eurostar all conspired to completely shatter me in the last week 😅
I’ve got a whole week of thread to catch up with now so I’ll be back later/tomorrow with comments.
In the meantime hope you’re all having a lovely weekend, I’ve had a much needed sofa and movie day as I recover and the weather gave me the perfect excuse.
Back again soon once I’ve caught up with all your chat and fashion/life news xx

SoyYo · 16/03/2019 22:41

Right all caught up now 👍
@Ella thank you for thinking of me you look truly lovely in both the green trousers and NL broderie top and those sandals even make your kipper feet look lithe to match the rest of you! Grin (note to self to investigate) Seriously fab

@never you’re also looking lithe in the leopard dress! It looks great on you and loving the pink spots. I thought the jumpsuit was good too but if you don’t feel great or think you’ll get enough wear yes return.

@laska you and your BJ fund 🤣 love it!

@Fuzzy you’re so talented and using one of my favourite ever fabrics: Liberty lawn cotton, I look forward to seeing it on you.

@melen your 😇 must be shining so brightly you could go without polishing for weeks on end and it would still blind us all Grin

@cherries love a bit of 10cc and glad to read the healing is progressing well.

@soups and @gin @lindy and everyone else who’s joined and commented waving to you all 👋

I’ve ordered the Beatrice jumper in bright blue with the current discount. And thanks to Ka who posted earlier and used my voucher I now have £20 off to treat myself again! Wink So I’m ordering the tailored culottes and the blue/blk cropped leggings.

I’ll report back, though don’t expect them to arrive till Tuesday/Wednesday...

SoyYo · 16/03/2019 22:57

Why did I say Lindy? I meant justilou and btw well done on the work front! Super news!
I have a job interview (with current employer/higher grade job) on Wednesday which I’m slightly regretting applying for...but thought I may kick myself later on if I didn’t do it. Warning: complicated as it involves relocating. So I’m keeping my options open...Hmm

justilou1 · 17/03/2019 00:55

Fingers crossed for the new/same job @Soy! Bet you’re a shoo-in!!!! Does it involve relocating to Australia????

SoyYo · 17/03/2019 08:34

@justi not down under 🤣 but Paris hoping Barcelona can be an alternative as it gave that as another possible location Wink
I actually had to google shoo in, it’s an expression I hadn’t come across before so obviously still learning the lingo after all these years Wink

dontcallmelen · 17/03/2019 08:36

Soy glad you ok, sounds as though you have been very busy.
Ooh await news on the interview, could be that you have lots of decisions.
Cherries if that’s all you need for summer, then 😇 is only a little slipped.
Happy St Patrick’s day☘️☘️ It’s our wedding anniversary today 41years wondering where the years have gone.
Ella might be imagining it but think it might be yours as well, 🍰🍾

Ellapaella · 17/03/2019 09:51

@dontcallmelen my wedding anniversary is in December 😁 My youngest DC is called Paddy (Patrick is his full name) so today is his day (although he is certainly no saint!)
Happy anniversary to you and Mr Len xx❤️

It's a beautiful day here in the NE... cold but sunny with blue skies. Today we are going to go a bit further up the Northumberland coast with the kids and dog and have a nice treat of fish n chips for lunch after a long walk on the beach.
Hope you all have a lovely Sunday whatever your plans.
