Just that, really.

Been using it since Xmas, every 10-14 days. Haven't removed hair from legs, pits, bikini line or arms in 10 days now and there's practically no regrowth. This isn't a sales pitch btw, I just wish I hadn't spent the last 10 years wanting one but thinking they were too much money!

Another vote for it here. It’s made a big difference to my facial hair. Have started bikini - not sure it’s made a massive difference after three treatments but persevering. Legs will be next.

I epilate my face before using (have epilated/waxed for years). It got rid of the most stubborn ‘tash hair almost immediately.

tinyradish · 04/03/2019 07:28

Did nothing for me or my husband!

youreajetalltheway · 04/03/2019 07:53

Also love my lumea, didn't shave all winter and only a few sparse hairs. Try Facebook selling groups, there's a few really cheap on mine xx

Desmondo2016 · 04/03/2019 09:57

I think good results were happening after 6 weeks (3 treatments) and brilliant by 8 weeks (4 treatnents). I think the guide is 2 weeks but you could go 10 days I guess

ooohhh i'm intrigued - sorry for TMI but can you use it on all the pubic region - full undercarriage (!) and is the aim that it eventually pretty much disappears - I am pasty and dark haired, HATE shaving......this could be great!

blibblibs · 04/03/2019 12:29

I'm also chiming in to say how great they are but also a word of warning to anyone who has one that requires charging. You should charge it every month even if you don't use it that often as it can give up the ghost without a regular recharge.

TemporaryPermanent · 04/03/2019 12:44

I love mine too. I've been doing it since September and always saw it as a long term project, have also only just started on my undercarriage. I bought the most expensive model which can be used while charging. Very little sensation, occasional twinge. For me the face is the most important part and it's made a huge difference. I used to have to shave my face twice a day to be sure I wouldn't have rogue stubble, but it's calmed down massively. I'm still careful about my face so haven't reached the point of forgetting about it, but my tache for example really barely appears ever, plus the delightful little patch on my lower lip is gone. Legs and underarms still on perhaps a weekly check. Feet hardly ever an issue any more. Chest hair gone. (I have PCOS btw so was pretty hairy).

Desmondo2016 · 04/03/2019 15:04

Yep full undercarriage. I find that the most uncomfortable area but deffo worth it. Felt a bit wary of ending up with singed labia initially but so far so good.. Grin

Have pale skin And dark hair on my legs so should be perfect candidate but finished the bootcamp (every fortnight x 6) and it has made no difference. So disappointed at the waste of money.

TemporaryPermanent · 04/03/2019 15:31

sorry to hear that chaircat. I would say keep at it longer but it's a drag if you're not seeing any change.

Cuddlysnowleopard · 04/03/2019 15:34

It took me much longer than a fortnight - it took around 12 weeks to start to have an impact.

Re: undercarriage, I have a couple of stubborn bits that are taking ages, but overall so so much better.

Chilledout11 · 04/03/2019 15:36

Do you need to shave to use it? Do you need gel ? Some seem to advertise gel with it. Thanks

TheFlis12345 · 04/03/2019 15:40

You don’t need gel with Lumea. You do need to remove the hair first, but you can use any method of hair removal.

Penguin34 · 04/03/2019 15:52

I have one too and it was brilliant but when I stopped using it (lazy) the hair went back to normal again.
You've reminded me to get it out again though

Goatrider · 04/03/2019 16:11

I've had limited success. It probably took 4 or more uses to notice any difference. It was patchy on my legs and when I stopped using it the hair eventually started to grow back.

Definitely less shaving needed than before though.

Bananasandchocolatecustard · 04/03/2019 16:26

There is £40 off this in Costco this week.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 04/03/2019 17:42

I waited it out on Amazon until they dropped the price of a fancier model. I don't care about anything but my face, but I think I need to do it more often as I wasn't seeing any results really. I'm a bit concerned about discolouration on my face too. I can't decide if I imagined it.

Chilledout11 · 04/03/2019 18:00

What model (corded) is the best to go for?

ethelredonagoodday · 04/03/2019 22:03

I'm several weeks into using mine and starting to see a difference. Glad to hear about the undercarriage too, as was slightly scared of tackling that area, having read the instructions! 😬🤣

IHeartKingThistle · 04/03/2019 22:14

I'm pale but light brown hair, it's not going to work for me is it?

Desmondo2016 · 05/03/2019 01:41

Yeah it probably will but it may take longer. Use it on setting 5 regardless of what setting it suggests for you!

Fazackerley · 05/03/2019 07:11

Having said it's not working on my face, I had a good peer at my chin yesterday and the dark hairs have really reduced. Sadly there are still a lot of whiskery white hairs which the lumea won't deal.with.

ihatethecold · 05/03/2019 07:24

I’m olive skinned with dark hair.
Will this work on peach fuzz or is something else more suitable?

NuffSaidSam · 10/03/2019 01:35

Has anybody tried any of the alternatives? Any other ones worth considering or is the Lumea the one to go for?

The 3 attachments one is down to £299 on Amazon at the moment.
