The photos of Kate at the sports stuff today are lovely, because she has a huge smile on her face in every picture, and seems to be really enjoying herself.

queenofarles · 27/02/2019 19:51

Oh I really like it !

Must've just been the lighting in that photo. It looks more green on Net a Porter. She seems quite into Italian labels at the moment, doesn't she?

Love that missoni dress

queenofarles · 27/02/2019 19:55

She has always wore missoni, remember the blue coat?

SlipperOrchid · 27/02/2019 19:58

The green dress is beautiful but not on Kate. It is far too pale for her and the shoes are beyond terrible with it.

TSSDNCOP · 27/02/2019 20:01

Really like that. Silver strappy might have been better shoes.

EdWinchester · 27/02/2019 20:01

She looks lovely but I don't think it does much for her.

queenofarles · 27/02/2019 20:04

Shoes are fine , and the colour looks nice on her. She looks great.

pallisers · 27/02/2019 20:05

I love the dress but the shoes are awful (her shoes often are - Meghan should pick her shoes for her). She should be wearing black thin strappy things.

My favourite look was the jeans and jumper and flat trainers - she looked great in them. I suspect that is her favourite style.

QueenOfTheAndals · 27/02/2019 20:06

Oh I didn't notice the shoes. Nude pumps when silver sandals might've been better. Maybe Charlotte nicked the sandals from her suitcase while she wasn't looking and she's had to make do with these!

@Spudlet - I’m with you, I’d never have thought this possible in my youth. A direct heir to the throne in NI? It’s amazing really the progress that’s been made. Let’s hope it sticks.

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 27/02/2019 20:16

I usually like Kate's stuff but really dislike that dress. I think it's the fabric.

Still loving those black boots though!

SlipperOrchid · 27/02/2019 20:19

Elspeth Agree with everything in your post about Kate when she was kicking the football.

None of it goes together or is nice in any way apart from her smile. Even if she wore black trainers it might have looked better. The low ponytail is also terrible. It isn’t as if she ran upstairs quickly to pick the first pair she could find, everything would have been planned and chosen carefully.

EdWinchester · 27/02/2019 20:23

Agree with the awful low ponytail - it's very 'dowdy parlour
maid'.

BigGreenOlives · 27/02/2019 20:26

I don’t like the cricket jumper or blue trainers but she looks really happy, I think her personality shines when she’s active and with children. I wonder whether she’d have been a tennis coach or games teacher if her life had worked out differently.

The green dress is lovely and sparkly, dds share a skirt in a similar fabric (but Bershka £24). The shoes are a bit practical but I think she isn’t that bothered about clothes and I like the way they are described as signature, means she keeps rewearing them. I have a grey pair & they are v comfortable.

SlipperOrchid · 27/02/2019 20:33

Signature for Kate means she has multiple pairs. They will never look worn!

Tinkhasflown · 27/02/2019 20:39

I love that dress on Catherine.

Pinkjellyfish · 27/02/2019 20:49

Not on the current topic but I’m helping a friend plan her wedding at the moment and it made me wonder whether Meghan’s wedding dress has influenced bridal fashion at all like Diana’s and Kate’s? I realise she’s not a future queen consort but her dress will still have been seen by a huge amount of people. She obviously had a pretty basic design but the simple shape/fabric and boat neckline would be key features of inspiration I suppose!

I like the dress and the jumper

I think the jumper shows her "off duty" choices and kind of fits the bill of an off duty, ex boarder Mum, I don't think a style crime has been committed I think it shows the real her

QueenOfTheAndals · 27/02/2019 21:01

I thought Kate wasn't that bothered by clothes either @BigGreenOlives but now I think the contrary. She's been wearing some big designers and big price tags lately!

Maybe she’s enjoying not being pregnant & is just going a bit wild with the credit card? She’s got her body back, Harry is happily married, her children have one cousin & will have another one soon, everything’s good.

BlueJeansNiceTop · 27/02/2019 21:08

Quite like the Missoni dress but on the DM photos it is very clearly see though Shock

certainlymerry · 27/02/2019 21:08

Oh no, I really don't like that dress at ALL. Usually love what she wears.

ElspethFlashman · 27/02/2019 21:12

The killer is that she definitely has red trainers too! Why blue???

I actually like the dress but then I'm a sucker for Missoni. And it nicely straddles the line between "cocktail" and "casual".

I don't think the cut is great on her - she hasn't the boobs to hold up a wrap top - but I do like the rest of it.

I suspect silver sandals would have been far too dressy and she wanted to dress it down, hence the nude pumps.
