What type of jeans are in at the moment?

Forgive my ignorance, but are skinny jeans still in, or straight leg, or what? Thanks! :) (Living in Brighton in my thirties, if age or location makes a difference!)

Skinny jeans are a bit past. I live in Cornwall and am over 60. Trust me on this. You then have to decide what you like, and what fits. There is currently no single must-have look.

Still skinnies but awaiting a change as I’m bored!

I’m wearing a kick flare now, and sometimes boyfriend. Skinny jeans have never done much for my figure, don’t know why. I split my year up between near Brighton and Cornwall btw.

Straight with roll up

I prefer straight or slim leg. But I don't really follow fashion and skinny jeans look awful on me. Mid 30s and live in south Yorkshire.

I still wear skinnies just because they're easy to style. But yes they're boring. I like boyfriend/girlfriend but I tend not to wear them in the colder months as they look weird with boots - how do you wear yours in the Winter AF?

I wear men's jeans. Better pockets.

see, I struggle to make boots look un-frumpy with any non-skinny jeans. I just end up looking like someone's (v uncool) nan...

I like black jeans in skinny cut. But I have really gone off blue skinny jeans. I have some boyfriend ones that are so comfy I rarely wear anything else but admittedly they give me a baggy arse.

It seems the young 'uns are wearing Mom jeans and I may try them as they seem neater on the waist and bum whilst still being loose on the leg.

Levi's have this style called Wedgie which I'm seeing everywhere for the past while. I think they're a cropped straight leg. I like them a lot.

I go for distressed cropped boyfriend jeans at the minute. So glad skinny is out - these are way comfier!

I'm wearing mom jeans, slightly cropped which I like. Or boyfriend rolled up once or twice with chunky boots or my old Stan smiths.

I do wear skinnies in colder weather.

BTW the mom jeans I've heard the best buzz about are the ASOS Ritson rigid ones.

And apparently Miss Selfridge have a really good quality pair, which is shocking as who buys anything in there anymore???

I like Whistles barrel-leg jeans. I occasionally wear black skinny jeans with Chelsea boots for work, but would never wear them out. I only ever see “skinnies and nice top” on Mumsnet as a suggested outfit, never in real life!

@CallMeWoman how do you buy men’s jeans? Just go and try them all on or do you know which size to buy. How do you get them not like clown trousers?

God I love my skinny jeans, especially when wearing boots. Hate any jeans that flare!

needmorepizzainmydiet I just guessed at first, tried things on or returned wrong sizes, but now I know my size and just grab what I need. I am tall, so they aren't overly long on me, but I do have a very long pair I wear as turn ups.

I know they wouldn't work on everyone, and as a pear shaped woman with generous thighs I didn't think men's cut jeans would fit, but I've been successful so far.
