New thread for scented discussion, plus cats, teeth, and cats with problem teeth. Everyone welcome, we are as friendly as the title suggests!

I think that would make it worse Chevvy! My current chocolate alternative is nakd posh bits. Best when warmed up a bit.

SotD Herba Fresca since it's warm.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 26/02/2019 20:47

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! SOTD NRFH, and SOTE Heeley Menthe Fraiche.

Sniffing Silk, Lace & Chocolate might work - it's sooo sickly-sweet it could kill cravings?

67chevvyimpala · 26/02/2019 21:03

Hmmm..
I think I may have a sample of that somewhere...

67chevvyimpala · 26/02/2019 21:04

It's not working.

I want a twix!

teta · 26/02/2019 21:23

Cup of Cocoa made with almond milk or rice milk and sweetened with Stevia ( not a bad sweetener) works really well for defusing chocolate cravings.Or 70% dark chocolate with raspberries.

Lotsofpots · 26/02/2019 22:32

maud gu do a praline pudding?! How do I not know this?!

A twix is my weakness chevvy. I ate so many during my first pregnancy - probably one every weekday - that my team gave me loads as part of my leaving present.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 26/02/2019 22:40

lots i ate a double decker pretty every day of my one and only pregnancy and ive never had one since the babies were born just went right off them!

SOTD has been PP Tobacco Vanilla. Nice and strong, no idea how close to its namesake it is though

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 27/02/2019 06:57

They do indeed do a praline pudding - it was waaaaay too sweet for me though and I couldn't finish it (this literally never happens 😁)

SOTD is Eau My Soul. Champagne and cashmere for a chilly Weds morning.

And it's payday! 😉

67chevvyimpala · 27/02/2019 07:18

God I love praline!

I have a headache.

And it's cold out - but will be 16 degrees by lunchtime no doubt!

Sotd Avon timeless

KaliforniaDreamz · 27/02/2019 14:12

i just had a salad for lunch then a star bar.

SOTD Coeur de fleur

teta · 27/02/2019 14:43

Doesn’t having salad first cancel out the chocolate Kalifornia?
Sotd is grass cuttings, rose thorns and a friendly blackbird.

I wonder if anyone on here can help me. For ages I've been searching for a soft floral scent to wear - something like the discontinued Herve Leger www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Herve-Leger/Herve-Leger-4778.html
Can anyone help with some suggestions? I'm after a soft, creamy floral - nothing with rose, not too sharp and not strong white flowers which I find a bit "screechy" sometimes. Hoping you fragrance fiends might be able to assist!

My SOTD is Chanel No 5 l'eau (sample)

67chevvyimpala · 27/02/2019 17:12

Valentino would fit your bill I think...
Esp poudre. Very creamy.

KaliforniaDreamz · 27/02/2019 20:53

you're so right teta

67chevvyimpala · 28/02/2019 08:19

Sotd pp by the fireplace

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 28/02/2019 08:50

SOTD Habanita

67chevvyimpala · 28/02/2019 12:57

My AT samples arrived! With a hand written note from Andy! How lovely ❤

I've tried amber flash. It's ok. Hoping it develops a bit...

KaliforniaDreamz · 28/02/2019 15:18

would you suggest a sexy leathery scent for me
for ref i love bottega veneta eau legere..

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 28/02/2019 18:16

Miller Harris Etui Noir is very leathery but also 'feminine'.

Alaia Paris is leather and violets. Gres Cabochard is a fab leathery chypre.

Anything with 'cuir' in the name Grin. Anything by Loewe or Coach.

CountFosco · 28/02/2019 18:39

SotD Andiroba. Had a small bonus at work so trying to decide which perfume to buy for myself. Can't decide!

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 28/02/2019 19:02

Ooooh, what's on the shortlist, count?

KaliforniaDreamz · 28/02/2019 19:15

Thank you so much maud i have a birthday pending.... x
( i have sniffed etu noir and it was ok but i need something more after shave like i think)

MrsMoggs · 28/02/2019 20:45

I don't know your Botega, Kalifornia. I can build on Maud's list, (esp vintage Cabochard), by suggesting some other great leathers (although the vintage ones may not work so well as a present?):

  • Empreinte: suede/moss-seductive, old school leather.
-Azuree: earthy jasmine/smoky leather. -Chantilly (only the vintage Houbigant not Dana) stunning powdery oriental on a soft bed of leather. -Lonestar Memories: AT's smoky resinous leather.
KaliforniaDreamz · 28/02/2019 21:00

ooh thank you Mrs i shall google...
