I've just bought myself a little bunch of Imaginary Authors samples from Bloom. I do like this house; not everything I've tried from them works but they are creative, fun and interesting. And Memoirs of a Trespasser is really a genuinely fabulous smoky vanilla, one of the best imo.

AT incense flash today

This leather talk has tipped me over the edge and I have 5ml of Diorling on the way. Still looking out for Miss Balmain...

Have also had a lucky dip with a very cheap bundle of (poorly described) vintage miniatures. Could see Magie Noire among them.

Well.

The AT flash scents are ok. But...yeah. I wont be purchasing.

Which is annoying as they are not too expensive!

At the moment: Connock Andiroba, Avery E, Guerlain Vetiver (but have Vetiver Insolent so this is not 'urgent'), ELDO Archive 69, Imaginary Authors Soft Lawn, Naomi Goodsir Nuit de Bakélite. But I need to have a look through all my samples and see if there's anything else.

count, some fab scents there. I'd go for Nuit de Bakelite I think, although The Soft Lawn and Andiroba are lovely too.

No SOTD for me today. Standards are slipping

SOTD was the PP dupe of Creed Green Irish Tweed. Bought as a cheapie for after the gym and really fancying something fresh, but the last couple of PP sprays I've bought are just too oily and one spray is too much! Think I'll stick with their oils in future, as at least I can just dab a tiny bit on.

Shame the Tauer's aren't doing it for you Chevvy, which others have you got to try? I love Patch Flash and Rose Flash, Vanilla is a solid like, but Amber and Incense didn't do much for me at all.

Thinking of doing a samples order as struggling to find the thing in my head. Really looking for something very green and fresh, not citrussy though. If anyone has any ideas of how I can smell like a cool, shady forest in springtime, please shout up!

I like them count but I don't love them, unlike andys other creations.

I'm currently wafting about in Avon timeless. I really recommend this to ambery chypre fans...its £5 for 50mls!!!

Glad to know the flexible friends still flex. For MM fans, Nose are sending me an offer of a free 10ml Papers in the Library with any full bottle, and I'm very tempted by an FB of By the Fireplace. Such a comforting scent.

SoTD has been AT Flash Amber, but it's not love.

SOTD Kiehl’s Musk. I have been off work today and yesterday with the most hideous sinus thing. I swear, I have been ill since the middle of December.

I love green scents above all others. Last year we tested the Bloom Green sample set. There were some lovely scents, I loved The Soft Lawn and PG24 Papyrus de Ciane (damn, that's another one to add to my list).

Other green scents: I love Papillon Dryad recommended above, a grown up old fashioned chypre. For less money get vintage Cabochard from ebay. Guerlain Herba Fresca is minty fresh and lasts and lasts. Bois Naufrage is green figgy heaven. Cheap and cheerful Bronnley Wild Green is always in my handbag in case I forget a perfume to take to work. Maybe I should send you a sample set myself, PM me.

xing agree re AT amber flash. I really wanted to love it.

chevvy I had that rotten cold before Christmas and just have never properly shaken it. I felt like I’d been punched in the face early in the week, then developed a cough which was making me throw up.the actual pits! Hopefully this will square the circle and I will get rid of it once and for all.

Cant - what about Silences? PP Ombre Hyacinth is very green. PP Moss Breches (or something) is mossy honeyed forest floor. Vintage No.19 or Vent Vert? Annick Goutal Ninfeo Mio?
