Maud, yes I’m in the UK. I wasn’t able to get that sample set (called Discovery Set - you can choose which ones you want) when I tried a few months ago, but I don’t know whether it was because I wasn’t “allowed” or because I didn’t persist through the slightly cumbersome ordering process. There is a stage where the website won’t accept the UK address, but if you go through to the next stage, it will work.

Andy still has an agreement with Les Senteurs, so he included a Les Senteurs postcard with their details. I shall certainly be along there to order a full bottle, so they haven’t lost out. Does anyone know if Les Senteurs provide their samples in spray bottles? When I was in there, quite some time ago now, I think it was dabber bottles, but I notice on their website there is a drawing of a couple of samples which are definitely spray bottles. It’s certainly cheaper to get the samples from Les Senteurs, and you can try samples from other brands, but not that much cheaper, and of course you don’t get the dinky little tin and extras (personal greeting from Andy!)

67, the samples are meant to be 1.5mls but I reckon there’s probably 2mls in each one. The other samples are: Le Maroc Pour Elle; Lonestar Memories; Carillon Pour Un Ange; Une Rose Chypre.

Not feeling the love for No.2 stories. Ginger and cardamon are listed as notes, but actually it smells pretty bitter, more like a fenugreek or tumeric-heavy curry note? I have spent all morning thinking about mango chutney (a subconscious attempt to sweeten?). No.1 smells of fig and is pleasant enough but not particularly memorable. Anyone else tried?

I'm quite enjoying no 2 Stories but I can't imagine where I would ever wear it. I agree the cardamom is terribly strong in it. The Anima Vincii Neroli is my favourite so far. I have palmed the Atkinson's, the Modernist and the VC&A off on ds who is currently quite indiscriminate in his choices

SorryMrsM just reread your post about the cardamom! I don't get the bitterness you mention but it was a bit foosty on me at first. Has settled down a bit now and some sweetness is poking through. Although, that could just be the Amouage tuberose monster which I sprayed on a mouillette (??sp) about an hour ago and can still smell in the air...

I'm not keen on either of the neroli ones which surprises me.

I tried Maroc pour Elle again last night from the Les Senteurs testers I got but it's not for me, the jasmine note is too strong and it makes me feel a bit sick as jasmine can go a bit funny smelling on me. Anyway, if anyone wants it let me know, will happily post it on.

On the subject of Les Senteurs samples, I'm pretty sure now that my Angelique sample is off. Is there any point me emailing Les Senteurs at this point? It's about 6 weeks since I ordered.

Hello, I think I'm joining you here! After spending the last 15 years wearing the same fragrance, which is now basically unavailable, I've had to bite the bullet and try to find new stuff to wear. Only I found it really interesting and I feel like I've disappeared down a sweet-smelling rabbit hole. Really liking Miller Harris. I ended up getting Hidden, which smells amazing on me, but I also feel like I want to explore more!
