Thanks Xing and Kali, will pick up some of each to try. I really need to curb my spending until the café opens so I can't join in the Niche II ordering, as much as I'd love to! Will just have to live sniff vicariously through you lot!

Sotd was MM Sailing Day, sote is By the Fireplace but the PP version.

Apparently, it's a "supercharged bug" but his chest is clear thankfully.

Dr says it will prob last 7-10 days.

Ugh.

chevvy I hope your D.S. recovers quickly and you manage to sleep well tonight.
It’s feels cold and windy today.Things are also sombre here as the Manchester stabbing was very close to home and the boy well known by family members. It’s too cold for Greens so Eau de Iparie is sufficiently heart warming.

chevvy I think I have the same thing as your DS - deepest sympathies for him and you! I went to the GP in January and my chest was clear too. That was the first time I had been to the doctor in four years, I can’t believe how long this has gone on. I’m back at work today, but still feeling rubbish. The stuff coming down my nose is neon. (Sorry.)

Packages in the post today:

  • Diorling decant. Stupendously daramtic opening. The heart and drydown may have helped inspire Feu Follet?
  • Old, small demo bottle of Joy. Looks to be parfum? Opening is fierce (big dose of aldehydes), it goes through a stage when there are some similarities with Geranium Bourbon, before becoming a wonderfully warm soft skin scent of musky/sandalwood gorgeousness.
  • Magie Noire miniature. Time has not been kind to this; the top notes missing and middle notes compromised. Am just getting occasional glimpses of the complex green/animalic beauty this would've been in its heyday.

Ds2 still poorly. He can't sleep or eat for coughing.

I think I shall wear avon timeless today. I need to run some errands. Ds2 will be thrilled!
