Has anyone tried the Lupin dress?

Talisin · 10/02/2019 12:37

@Babygrey7 I'm 5'8 and was wearing it just above the hips rather than on the waist. At 6 foot I guess it would depend on how leggy you are whether it's decent or not!

wearenotacodfish · 10/02/2019 14:32

I've tried my purchases on.

Love the Santana skirt in red with the cami, These are my stand out items from everything I ordered, the black is going back. It's lovely but too safe.

Lilium dress is huge, I'm sending back to try a size 6. I love how full the skirt is but so much fabric at the top.

Stripe joggers feel cheap and they could be from Primark based on the quality. I was excited for these but I am going to keep an eye out for a cheaper version elsewhere.

Hamilton dress is going back, it's one of the most unflattering things I have ever worn but I do think it could look lovely on the right person.

Lucky jumper is lovely and is probably staying although it is expensive. DH thought it was about £30 not told him how much it actually is.

Tailored culottes lovely and very versatile but I may size down again. The sizing seems bigger than usual this time.

FuzzyPuffling · 10/02/2019 16:15

And here is a picture of my upcycled table in my hall! (The table legs are more blue than grey but that doesn't really show up here.)

Fuzzy the hoodie tops are good & lovely colour, love love the table I’m going to paint my kitchen table legs the same sort of colour next week hopefully the pale pink chairs will look ok with it.
Cod bit of a mixed bag by the sounds of it, I think M&S have similar stripe joggers in or might be next, have definitely seen very similar to the hush ones, I was desperately hoping that hush had got a bit more TTS this season, but doesn’t sound like it so far.

FuzzyPuffling · 10/02/2019 18:08

Thank you melen. The legs are Little Greene "Bone China Blue". I LOVE Little Greene paints.

wearenotacodfish · 10/02/2019 18:12

Fuzzy I love your table. We are renovating our house and much prefer Little Greene the quality is far better than Farrow and Ball although I do love downpipe.

Len I painted my kitchen table with grey legs and one of the chairs is pink and it looks good together. I also have a blue, green and yellow chair. I think yours will look amazing.

dontcallmelen · 10/02/2019 18:13

Oooh Fuzzy me too, such nice paint to work with I’m looking for a little Greene colour similar to F&B Mizzle sort of a greeny/grey for my frontroom any recommendations?
I also love Mylands paint, again really good coverage & nice subtle colour & depth.

dontcallmelen · 10/02/2019 18:15

Cod that’s sounds lovely as well, yy F&B I find it difficult to work with & not great coverage.

wearenotacodfish · 10/02/2019 18:23

Len i would recommend Normandy grey although it leans slightly more green.

I love Mylands the spindles on my stairs are painted a very dark blue by Mylands, I think it's Bond Street. It's such good quality.

dontcallmelen · 10/02/2019 18:45

Thanks Cod will take a look, don’t mind a slight green, as the frontroom has a greige sofas/carpets grey furniture & sage green cushions/throws & bit of green on the curtains.

Laska2Meryls · 10/02/2019 19:05

Lovely table fuzzy
Talisin both skirts look great on you , I have the leopard fom last year or would be tempted by the devore one..

So things arrived now. First off the Blue Santana is , lovely and like two Soups red one it looks great with the matching cami..

I have just ordered a size smaller , in the blue cami to compare, but the prob is my boobs .. the 16 is really not that big over them even though its is in the body, .(the skirt is a 12 and just fine , .. ruddy 36E boobs and big rib cage Hmm.. . )

However once I have bottomed out which size I need, I am also ordering the black cami ,as it will look fab with my last years Santanas ( green and paprika) and also the leopard skirt from last year ..

Denim shorts are going back, They are a bit big and I do have last years star denim and black denim ones ( which fit amazingly despite the Wine baby I am carrying right now) .

Cactus T ..lovely design but the T shirt fabric itself is Meh, , like the cheapest t shirt fabric, I am sure it it stretch dreadfully.. sleeves are also an unflattering length, ending about 6cm above the elbow and are baggy..well I could shorten them it ( as I did on the sale price faces T I dyed) but not at that price(£45!) .. Itch scratched.. but a disappointing effort, Hush

I am keeping the navy slub V neck T . A good basic and a really good dark navy .

I am probably also still keeping the Lisel skirt , but now I am wondering how much I will actually wear it .. but as its still in stock I am keeping label on JIC Hush suddenly decide to do a final reduction on it ..

Those Woodstock dupes are great.. However i bought the Moshulu ones in silver last summer and the first day I wore them I tripped up he steps outside work and broke my toe.. (its kind of put me off that style) .. I have ordered Saltwater Sharks in Rose gold to try (but I still like the originals in Olive )

Laska2Meryls · 10/02/2019 19:07

Oh and I am keeping the Lucky T in green definitely. I just love it , and the fabric is really nice compared to the cactus one.. (which is just floppy)

Laska2Meryls · 10/02/2019 19:33

Nope..Codfish has red santana .. not twosoups

dontcallmelen · 10/02/2019 19:35

Laska another one with a mixed bag, shame about the catcus tee but for that price definitely needs to be perfect, I like the lucky tee as well good to know the fabric is ok on that one.
Love the salt waters.

Laska2Meryls · 10/02/2019 19:53

These Beauties

But I also love Olive originals and the Mustard but I cant have them all can I? (I already have gold originals - pretty worn out now, so I can justify the new sharks Grin - and navy and red ) just call me Imelda

dontcallmelen · 10/02/2019 20:00

Laska we can be Imelda twins 😂, I bought two huge underbed shoe store bags today, just so I can have a bit of idea of how many sandals I have, rather than rummaging through boxes, do they do children’s ones? As I’m thinking they probably would be cheaper, its part of my cunning plan to save money this year.

neveradullmoment99 · 10/02/2019 20:08

I love these @Laska

saltwater retro sandals

Laska2Meryls · 10/02/2019 20:10

Len they Do!! look Rose gold Sharks in a 2.5! and all the other colours inc rose gold You need to order a 3 though as its saltwaters..

FuzzyPuffling · 10/02/2019 20:13

Loving how my table got more "likes" than my hoodies. Grin I am soooo not a fashionista! (But happy with that!)

Laska2Meryls · 10/02/2019 20:13

Evening Never I love them also They have them in other colours on the saltwater site, Pewter is nice

neveradullmoment99 · 10/02/2019 20:15

Shame about the cactus tee. Had high hopes for it. Maybe in a sale then. There isn't much that I really fancy in the new collection. I have so many midi skirts and tbh, I never really wear them. I guess I feel a bit frumpy in them. Although with chunky sandals, I think they can look great. I might be tempted by the black santana though. Not fussed for the other colours or maybe its just cause its so bloody miserable atm I find it hard to imagine the sunshine!!!!!

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 10/02/2019 20:16

Yes, glad they have them on the saltwater website. I will order them but not atm. I actually really like the pewter ones. They also go with everything.

Laska2Meryls · 10/02/2019 20:17

neveradullmoment99 · 10/02/2019 20:18
