FuzzyPuffling · 26/02/2019 19:10

ella Glad to hear all went well and I hope you are properly on the mend very soon.

In dress news, I dyed the extra grey linen dress today. It is now a rather lovely ultramarine blue. Really rather pleased with it. I'd post a picture, but you know me and pics!

ilovecherries · 26/02/2019 19:11

Oh, I’m so glad, ella. xx

dontcallmelen · 26/02/2019 19:20

Fuzzy oooh sounds lovely, I do like a nice bright blue such a happy colour.

neveradullmoment99 · 26/02/2019 19:45

Hello everyone :) Ella Great news on the op. Glad all went well :)
Now new hush collection. I have to say I absolutely love the contrasting colours of the zebra jacquard but the price! Some of the jumpers look gorgeous but really expensive. Absolutely love the loose cashmere one - Nell in the cornflour blue - stunning. . Love the hortensa shirt in both prints. The alvers dress is gorgeous. The pineapple embroidered shorts are lovely. I love the Seymour shirt dress, lovely and fresh. The contrast stitch jumpsuit is also nice.

Len After being good for so long, I hope you will post your new hairstyle for us to see! (you can block out your face if you want..)

Spoke/Missy Hi!

Just Lou I love the doggy and v Envy of your sun ( although its been unseasonably warm again here today. Sadly I spent most of the day in the office Angry.

Fuzzy glad to hear the dye project went well. I have ordered some patchy Hush b/f jeans from Brand Alley today (I cant remember what they are called but they were v cheap..£23) and am probably going to dye those! .(or at least bleach the dark bits out) . I may turn them into shorts also ..

Talisin have you got your eye on anything?

never I really love the pink v cashmere.. Do you think there will be another 10% code shortly?

GinandGingerBeer · 26/02/2019 20:09

Glad to hear all went well @Ellapaella and here's to a speedy recovery Thanks
@twosoups1972 So pleased to hear your dd continues to make good progress, really sounds like she's turned the corner. Smile
@SoyYo Sounds like things are looking better for your DS too. I do worry about my DS, he's turned super thin since going to uni. Sad
Hope you're ok @cherries, are you hot in yourself too? Any temp? Keep an eye out Thanks

whiskyremorse · 26/02/2019 20:29

@Elle good to hear. Onways and upwards!

whiskyremorse · 26/02/2019 20:29

@Ella of course

whiskyremorse · 26/02/2019 20:32

I'm still not tempted yet by spring season. It's my birthday in a couple of weeks and I'd usually have a couple of things picked out. No doubt before long I'll start obsessing about a few items and Gin and I will crash out of the no spend zone 🤔

dontcallmelen · 26/02/2019 20:44

Laska if I can get a half decent selfie I will, I’m rubbish at selfies though always end up looking like a wizened old hag.
Not sure yet what I’m going have, it’s got very long so tempted to have a fair bit chopped off to make it a bit more manageable or stick with a reasonable trim & basically the same style.

dontcallmelen · 26/02/2019 20:48

Couple of things I really like, the v cashmere & ombré tshirt & bright pink tees but I reckon if I can go another month I will be back in the black, so it’s worth being good a bit longer, also Dh gave me a fair bit towards my haircut as he has been impressed with my self control of late😂

neveradullmoment99 · 26/02/2019 20:53

I don't think they will do the 10% for a few weeks yet tbh.

Talisin · 26/02/2019 21:03

Ella glad to hear things have gone well.

Soy The ombre tee was the first thing that really stood out for me when I had a quick flick through on my phone earlier. It’s gorgeous and I can’t wait to see what you make of it. And yes, I kept the devore leopard skirt - wore to work last week in fact and got a couple of nice comments.

Laska I have my eye on the Natalia skirt, much to my surprise as it’s really out of my comfort zone, colourwise but it’s calling to me...

I love the pineapple denim shorts but I have the faded star ones from last year and I just wouldn’t get enough wear out of two pairs. Maybe if they end up very cheap in the autumn sale. Also love both the pineapple embroided white tee (but not at that price!) and the large gold foil pineapple tee - I obviously have a hitherto unsuspected pineapple fetish. The rainbow/lightening bolt tee is nice as well but I have a whole draw of tshirts I don’t wear enough as it is. Ooh and the Emanuelle dress but I already have that in two colourways, a third would be getting a bit obsessive.

ilovecherries · 26/02/2019 21:27

nah, not feverish at all. This is a know side effect of BR, it’s caused by multiple nerves re-mapping themselves simultaneously. It’s just bloody unpleasant.

Talisin · 26/02/2019 21:30

cherries so basically your boobs just rebooted?

ilovecherries · 26/02/2019 21:40

😂😂😂 thats it exactly!

dontcallmelen · 26/02/2019 21:44

Talisin 😂😂

justilou1 · 27/02/2019 07:47

Yay @Ella! So glad to hear you are through the worst of it! Hope you are feeling perkier and know we’re cheering you on!
I have told Ivy Dog that she is famous around the world now. (For shredding my husband’s awful hammock.) She is very eccentric and smiley. She talks a lot. (Malamute genes.) I swear it sounded like she said “I know”... We probably should have named her Sheldon Cooper because that is HER SPOT and he should have known better than to have encroached upon it.
It is finally starting to cool down here. (Amen!) We have had two days below 30’C. (28’C) There is a cool breeze this evening and I am hoping that this heralds the end of Summer. It felt like it would never die. I have been eyeing knitwear and sweats covetously. (Also properties in other climate zones!!!) I have been mentioning Iceland (the country, not the supermarket) quite a lot lately. Ladies, I believe - like the famous parrot - I am pining for the fjords!

ilovecherries · 27/02/2019 08:13

It’s another absolutely lovely day here. I’m going out for a walk just wearing sweatshirt and jeans it’s so nice. I’m trying to walk 5K every day but at the moment I can’t even imagine that I will ever be willing to run again. Poor dog is very sad at the moment as I can’t walk her yet in case she pulls on my arms. I need to look for a waist strap for her lead.

Ella, I hope you managed to get some sleep and had a comfortable night. Lots of good vibes for today.

I succumbed and ordered the hortensia shirts. I think you are right about the original price last year, laska but I didnt buy mine till the sale, so think I paid about £35 which seemed more reasonable. Anyway, wore it so much I decided to get them anyway, especially as button fronts with patterns are easier for me at the moment, as they conceal the compression bra (which I will wear for at least three months), better than plain tee shirts.

FuzzyPuffling · 27/02/2019 09:18

I may get addicted to dyeing clothes now. It is such fun. Laska I rest the blame entirely on your shoulders!

NotAnActualSheep · 27/02/2019 10:09

Yay ella - so glad you're back and recovering. Flowers and Brew and Cake. And lol @ cherries rebooting boobs. Hope they are a bit better today - enjoy your walk!

Thanks cherries, soy and laska for the reassurance on the rayon. I think that is definitely now on my list... what's the sizing like (last year - at least)? I have the striped piper from the summer sale (which looks like a similar shape) and ended up with a 10 because that's all they had...which is almost perfect, though I remember it wasn't overly generous on top (which is fine, cos neither am I - though it was at the upper bounds of a neat fit), and that is a stretchy material... I assume the alvers isn't stretchy - so i may be safest with a 12? (plus for added waft factor)? i think I may also have to fight laska if a 12 comes in in the blue helena...

len - I know it is your bench and all, and you set the rules - but I don't think hair counts.... its a necessity really! (also - I need a haircut too) Hope it goes well today. Have you decided what you'll have done. I'm a fan of short and easy to manage - but I know others are less lazy and incompetent with hair, and have much better hair than me aren't so keen on a short cut.

soy - I can't believe i missed the starla blouse all last season - that is really pretty and will be great for your work things. fingers crossed for the brexit delay so you're not travelling through all that And the rest of your sale stuff looks lovely too. I have the dylan trousers (though with the black, not pink stripe) and really like them. Excited for you! And so glad your DS is progressing.

fuzzy - I'm really glad your dye project worked! It is a lovely dress and it sounds like you've given it a new lease of life for the summer.

And I know what you mean about the pineapple fetish talisin! I saw the shorts and the embroidered tee and was really tempted - though I don't wear shorts. At all. Ever. And pineapples?! Why?! It's the faux leather leggings all over again - I've started wanting things I never knew I had any interest in at all. Though I did get a tee from mint velvet in their sale a while ago which has 3 little pineapples on - so i may root that one out to sate my pineapple fetish.

It's a gorgeous day here too. I may even leave my house for a little walk later on - that's how upbeat I'm feeling... (Though for justilou - roll on autumn).

Laska2Meryls · 27/02/2019 10:13

I've re ordered the Helena blouse in smaller size. Smile
Looking forward to seeing the Hortensia on you Cherries

dontcallmelen · 27/02/2019 10:33

Not that’s what I was thinking, it’s a necessity not a frivolous buy so I can rest easy on the bench😄 I think you can lay to rest the pineapple theme if you have the tshirt already, you were obviously well ahead of the pineapple curve.
Beautiful day here as well, catching up with some washing & all the sunlight has highlighted the dust & cobwebs so currently armed with feather duster & ladder.
Looking forward to seeing the new purchases from everyone.
