Beautiful pictures ella can't believe it's still February! Wishing you luck and good vibes for today Flowers

Hope we're not taken by surprise with another cold snap before Spring starts properly! It's another beautiful day here too, I'm going to go out and enjoy it soon.

twosoups1972 · 26/02/2019 11:19

Soy glad to hear your ds is doing well, it's so horrible to see our dc suffering and frustrating that we can't 'fix' things easily like when they were small.

My dd is back at school after half term, haven't heard from either her or boarding staff so can assume all is well so far. Dd isn''t one for chatting for the sake of it and is usually pretty busy so I leave it to her when she wants to call/facetime. I am looking into schools/colleges down here for next year for her to complete her A Levels. It's proving difficult - lots of schools won't take her into Year 13 as she's out of year and they don't have the funding. I've found one college that may consider her, otherwise it will have to be private.

Talisin · 26/02/2019 13:31

The rest of the Spring collection is now up and there’s a free delivery code SPRING19. Couple of things have caught my eye but need to see them on a screen bigger than my phone. Pineapples seem to be their ‘thing’ this season.

Good luck for today, Ella.

GinandGingerBeer · 26/02/2019 13:44

Oh crikey. God help my bank balance. There's loads I love from this drop ShockGrin

Good luck Ella xx

Laska2Meryls · 26/02/2019 14:00

I'll need to look on my home screen as phone is small. But looks there's like another Greek Widow on offer for those that missed it last year!!

ilovecherries · 26/02/2019 14:03

I wanted more hortensia shirts as I wore last years loads. But 50 quid for a short sleeve summer shirt?

I also have exploding boobs today and feel as if a mug of scalding water has been thrown on them. If I plugged them into the national grid I’d get a rebate on my utilities bill, they are zapping so much - so feeling a bit grumpy overall!

SoyYo · 26/02/2019 15:27

Thank you soups and glad to read your DD is doing well back at school. Worry about next term when it comes as the most important thing right now is recovery Flowers
Bless you melen I’m grateful for your kind words too.
We have discovered something else: DS has been a vegetarian since he was 16 and vegan since 19. Nothing wrong with it and I truly respect it but he did look painfully underweight which we just put down to his MH/lack of appetite but since being home he’s confessed that he wasn’t bothering to cook much or eat properly (student life) which we think has led to nutritional deficiencies...he’s eating like a horse now and making sure he gets more sunshine and exercise and honestly he’s laughing and joking and this is BEFORE he starts therapy which is leading me to believe maybe nutricional deficiencies could have affected his MH. So if you have vegan kids who are also off to college please be aware. He’s having blood tests tomorrow.
Overall he’s really trying hard to help himself which is good as he wants to get better. Fingers crossed it continues.

@justi what a lovely face your dog has!

@cherries sorry you’re feeling a bit down today. Have you looked at the Hush frippery lacy bras in the sale? Might be worth snapping one up before the sale finishes to cheer yourself up at the prospect of wearing such a lovely thing (sadly I can’t join the party). I’m sure once the swelling goes down you’ll fit it...

ilovecherries · 26/02/2019 15:33

Haha, I don’t think I will ever be hush bra material. If I can get out of bravissimo I will be doing well I’m ok, just reached that stage of feeling well enough to be frustrated by all the things I can’t do yet.

SoyYo · 26/02/2019 15:33

And Talisin I am blaming you for alerting me to the new Hush items. I totally fell in love with the Ombré v back T in orange/pink and have ordered! along with yet more sale goodies Blush
Did you keep the Devore skirt btw? It looked lovely on the pic you posted.

And the uniglo parcel was from the Ines de la Fressange collection. I’m returning all except for a couple of vests which were only £9.90 each and good quality cotton. If you’re interested I’ll link to them. The rest is also good quality but it just doesn’t feel like “me” so back it goes.

SoyYo · 26/02/2019 15:40

You’re right cherries it seems they only fit up to a D or DD cup (size 14) 😢 it would be my dream to wear those lacy bralets but not to be...
I can recommend the Goddard lace bras (non padded) as lovely alternatives as and when you’re on the market for new bras but they’re underwired too and why would you want the discomfort of underwriting if you have new perky boobs? Hmm
In any case the possibilities will be endless for you so chin up and hope you’re coping okay today.

@Ella Thinking if you too today

SoyYo · 26/02/2019 15:41

My iPhone is playing tricks. Gossard not Goddard!

SoyYo · 26/02/2019 15:42

Underwriting? 🙄 I give up trying to make sense with iPhone autocorrect

dontcallmelen · 26/02/2019 16:20

Soy yy nutrition, I was always banging onto my clients about eating well/supplements/exercise it’s amazing what all these things can do to aid better mental health, also wanting to try & get better & embrace the support that is available goes a very long way as well on the recovery path.
Yes, love the ombré t shirt & the bright pink tees as well.
Cherries Ouch hope it settles soon & yy peruse pretty bra shopping💐
Ella really hope all has gone well today🍫🍰
Soups glad dd back at school & hopefully college courses, get sorted.
Just dog is soo beautiful.

NotAnActualSheep · 26/02/2019 17:13

Hello all - I've disappeared for a bit under another deadline (up til 3am finishing stuff Angry). But done now...

Lovely to hear of people's buys and see the (non clothes related Hmm) photos. ella that beach and sky looks lovely...I miss the north-east... Hope today went well and you are now drinking tea as promised honks Brew. And justilou - your dog is gorgeous! I'm not really a dog person, but I could make an exception (..those eyes...!) Sorry to hear about the hammock though. Whoops...

cherries - sorry you're still suffering with the boobs. Hope they calm down soon. Though you did make me laugh at wiring yourself up to the mains... I reckon renewaboob electricity could become a Thing Grin. Are you able to wash/ shower yet?

len - i hope your checkup went well, and you've been released for another 6 months to run around after DGD... Flowers. And soups I'm really glad your DD seems to be coping back at school. Hope you find a suitable college soon so you both know what will be happening next year.

soy - your weekend sounds rather hectic... but I'm so glad your DS seems to be turning a corner and trying to recover. YY to nutrition (and a bit of sunshine!) being so important. I'm not vegan but am veggie, and I find that I feel much worse when I've had a few days of eating junk/ cheese sandwich platters/ bar food with work and so on. I just want to get home and have a big stir fry with All The Vegetables. Though I suppose everyone is the same, omnivore or not... I loooove that ombre shirt - the colours are great. Looking forward to seeing how you get on with that and your sale stuff.

Hello to the new posters (and not-new sproket/ missbobbins - I was wondering where you were!). Hope you managed to get the discounts in the end. But also - run, run away now or you'll get sucked in.... Grin except for len and apparently whisky who have self-control of steel

I've had a quick look at the new stuff, and I'm quite keen on some of it I have to say. I like the pink/red zebra print on the Alvers dress (is that the greek widow one? - though not in that print presumably - a rather merry, loud greek widow, maybe...) - though I'm not sure what Rayon is like as a summery fabric? And also the shape of the dina button dress (but not for £99 Shock). And the broderie top is cute - but again, £50 for something similar to one that is about £15 in sainsbury's...

I was considering the blue helena shirt for when I come off my no spend Feb - but its now sold out in the blue in my size Angry - though I'm also having my head turned by both prints of the hortensia, which are rather lovely.... Gahhhh. What did you think of the blue one laska (was that the one you bought?). And ella - did you get the stripey hever trainers in the end? Any good? I'm also tempted by a last flush on the sale, with the petra skirt, on gin's recommendation (like the sound of a skirt that can magically remove half a stone...). But anyway - its still not March so I should stop looking..

ilovecherries · 26/02/2019 17:21

Yes, I’ve been honking for you all day, ella. 😘

not RenewABoob 😅. I still can’t shower, I’m back at hospital togave thedressings changed on Thursday, so I’m hoping I get something I can shower with after that.

ilovecherries · 26/02/2019 17:23

Oh, and rayon - a couple of the summer dresses I had from Hush last year were rayon. Washed in the sink, drip dried from the shower rail, and good to go again within a couple of hours. Cool and floaty to wear.

dontcallmelen · 26/02/2019 17:25

Not liking the sound of a very merry loud Greek widow 😂, no good for me though as I would have to have about a foot chopped off the length, phew handy being short sometimes saves a hell of a lot of money.
Am breaking my no spend tomorrow, as getting my hair cut & coloured it’s an obscene amount, but I only get it done every four months so am justifying it to myself, so bum half off the bench.

SoyYo · 26/02/2019 17:40

Yeay melen 👏👏👏 I don’t know how you’ve managed it (with whiskey) to have such steel determination. Go spend on swishy locks friend, you’re worth every penny!

@Not I’m having death by PowerPoint too atm...glad you got the job done! Agree with @cherries on the rayon fabric and you regarding the not so Greek widow dress being a fab happy print (I was tempted!)
On my sale buys I’m feeling a bit better seeing DS progress in just 10 days of being back home (longest period with us in 3 + years since he left for Uni) so I went a bit too mad and on top of Ombré T shirt ordered:
Stripe waist (green) culottes
Dylan Pink stripe trousers
Starla Tie Blouse (I ordered this before and loved it and only returned because it was ££ but I have lots of business travel/dinners in March and April in París so it’ll be useful for the evenings out)
Raven A line jersey dress - love the colour/useful for spring but I bet in RL I’ll look like a sack of spuds with it on...
Red Flower Cotton PJ trousers because why not? Have not had new pjs since 2017.

So I’ll see when it arrives Thursday what’s a keeper and what goes back.
I’ll report back Smile

SoyYo · 26/02/2019 17:48

And yes the weekend was hectic! Every year I get someone who’s never been to the U.K. contacting me out of the blue. Not family. Just random old school friends I keep in touch (get roped in via various WhatsApp groups) and they decide they will visit London...then tour courtesy of @Soy.
No one forced me to say yes tbh but nevertheless I end up with people I’ve barely spoken to in decades Grin This particular visitor I shared Primary School years with and hadn’t seen in 40 years!!Shock
She was a gracious and lovely guest but it didn’t half exhaust me 😅

Laska2Meryls · 26/02/2019 17:49

Blue Helena shirt came.its lovely and a keeper , great colour and style, but I need to size down.. Sadly the 12 is oos, I will have to wait for one of those to reappear..Annoying though as I could have got it with 10% off..

Also annoying that there is no 10% code for the new stuff.

On quick first look...
I love the Hortensia in daisy- loved my green one last year so much - (I think that was £45 cherries?) but will hold off on that .

Also the Alvers dress in the Zebra ( but I have the blue /sand zebra print (as photo)and four others inc Greek widow Blush - although they all get worn on holidays , I live in them!! . But how many does a girl need ??

But the Jayne dress in leopard , I really do like ( and the black) Darn! I need a code! ..

Some prices are wild..how can they justify the Robin T shirt dress at £59?!!

***Hushistas SS19 Part 1!!!!!***
SoyYo · 26/02/2019 17:53

@melen I just re-read what I wrote:
I didn’t mean you managed “no spendwith whiskey” 🥃 but rather “like whiskey the other OP on this thread” 😬
I think last weekend purely Spanish speaking with primary school guest has fried my brain and ability to construct sentences and spell in English.

Ellapaella · 26/02/2019 17:58

Hello all
I'm all done, on the ward having some supper. It's been a long day and I've been very sleepy for most of it but things seem to have gone well so I'm happy.
Looking forward to seeing DH and the DC when they come in shortly.
I'll catch up on the thread over next few days but just wanted to wave hello as you've all been so lovely with your well wishes. You're a lovely bunch xx

SoyYo · 26/02/2019 18:00

Glad to read the shirt is a keeper laska
I’m totally in love with the red/orange zebra print and as soon as there’s a discount code I’ll be ordering the Alvers dress (you will too...I’m 100% sure Grin)
Funnily enough the Jayne dress is not doing it for me atm...

SoyYo · 26/02/2019 18:01

Fantastic News Ella! Bless you and hope your recovery is swift so we can help you plan your Roman holiday wardrobe Flowers

dontcallmelen · 26/02/2019 18:05
