Completely missed the ball with the previous thread so hope this thread is easy enough to find!

Yes, the reverse ferret has been spectacular. I think that the presence of William, Harry and Kate have helped too in that they have taken a more public role which lets Charles and Camilla fly a bit more under the radar and do their 'good works', garnering all the brownie points and letting the youngsters catch the interest of the gossip columns. The turnaround seems pretty much complete now, but Megan's baptism of fire will all have drawn further scrutiny away from C & C, and of course it also gave Charles the chance to step in with the walk down the aisle, the 'Thanks Pa' from Harry and so on and so forth. All good coverage for the C&C brand.

Princess Alexandra - nice scarf and slightly weird furry hat - here

beanaseireann · 24/01/2019 12:39

The hat looks like real mink.

Paradyning · 24/01/2019 12:41

It's indeed a weird hat! Similar to Kate and Cams one's too I think.
I seem to remember my gran wearing something similar too.

I'm afraid I was also going to lower the tone and mention the unfortunate camel toe appearance of Mary's trousers.

Paradyning · 24/01/2019 12:41

A very hefty camel at that.
Sure it's just unfortunate garment fold rather than mapping anything anatomical.
Mortifying all the same.

DontCallMeCharlotte · 24/01/2019 14:19

Going back to that Hello link, that's a stunning portrait of Sarah Ferguson.

Prince Marie and Princess Charlene are barely recognisable!

Princess Grace looks more stylish in her Hollywood days in those pictures, although she was simply beautiful right up until the end.

Spudlet · 24/01/2019 14:36

It's fascinating, seeing each of those women acquire that level of polish. I'd love to see myself polished up like that, even just once - or any normal woman really. Just to see how much of a difference that level of grooming would make! I mean, they are generally an attractive bunch to begin with but they all do get that extra layer of Royal veneer, don't they?

QueenOfTheAndals · 24/01/2019 14:40

I think it's safe to say that Charlene has had considerable work done since her swimming days!

Here’s an amusing bit of goss from this week’s Popbitch mailout.

If you've been wondering why there's been so much coverage in the tabloids about how Harry and Meghan have "grown apart" from William and Kate, it seems there's a bit of internal panic about what Meghan’s history with drugs might involve.

As heir to the throne, dull old William is supposedly keeping his distance as he's worried that her past might come back to bite them all.

But given all the stories that exist about his own family (Princess Margaret's infamous cocaine races, for example – where she'd get down on all fours with a competitor and try to hoover her way along a metre-long line laid out on the polished floors of the palace) might we humbly suggest to the good prince that if he's truly concerned about his reputation, Meghan's probably the family member he needs to worry about least.

ElspethFlashman · 24/01/2019 16:55

Oh I think that stuff about Margaret is bollocks. Firstly, whilst she was one of the most gossiped about women of the 20th century (mainly by her close personal friends), there were never any real anecdotes about her and drugs. Secondly, she got down on all fours for NO ONE!

Clionba · 24/01/2019 17:00

I agree, Elspeth. Margaret was in a very gossipy set. Cigarettes, yes, too much booze, yes, but not cocaine. She would never have been on all fours!!

QueenOfTheAndals · 24/01/2019 17:02

I think both stories are bollocks tbh.

Queen Rania in an interesting skirt here

itswinetime · 24/01/2019 21:01

I will start will some of today's outfits Letizia here in a nice top/trouser combo today not anything to exciting but I do like how she looks smart but still modern. I would love the brits to take some inspiration from her personally.
Letiza

Camillia on a visit to a library she always looks comfortable and relaxed around children which is nice to see. Camillia

And I'm not sure when or where but here is Rania rocking a cape dress I only found today it may well be old news on here though Wink
Rania

As for the drugs rumours 🙄 they sound about as truthful to me as the trolls that have been accusing Meghan of faking her pregnancy! Not that Margret did drug I have no idea but as Elspeth said all fours I don't thing so. Plus let's not forget Harry had is issues and that never seemed to stop William! Seems to me like another subtle way to knock Meghan which is just a bit 😴😴

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 24/01/2019 21:09

Apparently Doria is going to help look after baby Sussex
I think it will be lovely for them all initially. William and Kate had Carole helping out, but it wasn’t long before they got a nanny on board. I think it will be the same for Meghan and Harry.

CreakyBlinder · 24/01/2019 21:11

There was a picture of Margaret a few threads back sitting next to someone wearing a T-shirt that said cocaine on it, so it's not impossible!

CountessConstance · 24/01/2019 21:43

Loooove Letitia's outfit.
She is an elegant lady; I find it inspirational how she takes a top and trousers that I would wear to work and ramps it up a notch e.g. today's shoes.

ElspethFlashman · 24/01/2019 22:05

The story from those that were there was that she was tickled by the t-shirt. Nothing more sensational than that.

Clionba · 24/01/2019 22:15

I agree about Letizia. I really like her style. It's very business like with a twist. Modern yet appropriate, not too frumpy, not mutton!

BartonHollow · 24/01/2019 22:18

I've just read that a Pointless party was organised at the Queens local WI it was hosted by Alexander himself and the Queen won.

I absolutely ❤️ this story.

I knew that the Queen like me was a big fan and organising a spesh one for her and her mates was the only way she could ever experience it

And she won!

G'wan Liz!

Harebellmeadow · 24/01/2019 22:27

Rania’s Cape is thrillingly wow! Epic. I can hear dramatic music in the background as she elegantly stomps along.
On the before/after link 2 pages ago, i was either aghast or amazed at the CPDaniel pic. He always looks so goody-good and nerdy and kind but in this before-pic, fag included i think, he looks like the prodigal twin, with lots of parties and slightly rather bad-boy. Looks completely different. I did always wonder how this comfy looking Teacher-Type was a personal trainer but am now going to have a dig for some more before pics. They are a beautiful couple and family and a true-love fairytale story.

Harebellmeadow · 24/01/2019 22:43

www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/sweden/7805599/Swedish-royal-wedding-how-country-boy-Daniel-Westling-was-transformed-into-Prince-Daniel.html

So I came up with this. Didnt know that CPD had a very broad regional accent, and was intensively tutored into becoming a prince. Sounds very stressful and not fun to have your personality erased so dramatically, more than we've seen with most princesses/duchesses.
So the nerdy glasses are part of the look, the PR campaign and he looks so ‘homely’. I like homely. No idea he once looked so chiseled and sleek/rough!

Gotstuckwiththisname · 25/01/2019 07:00

Harry & Meghan are using "vegan paint infused with eucalyptus oil" in the nursery. How do they know??? And who knew that was even a thing?

I love Pointless too, yay, I have something in common with the Queen!

Rania's eipc cape dress = sublime. I covet it!

Paradyning · 25/01/2019 07:50

Wow poor Daniel. That training sounds intense. Like the Princess Diaries.
