Completely missed the ball with the previous thread so hope this thread is easy enough to find!

Kate has changed, but she lost that slight plumpness in her face, which looks youthful by the time she married. I suspect from now onwards, she will change very little till she is in her 50s.

Rhubarbisevil · 20/01/2019 09:24

As for the other family I'm sure they are being well looked after by the powers that be. Be silly not to if they decide to sell their story later thats their choice but if that story involves them being car less and abandoned while DoE had a new car within 24hrs things will get nasty with the press I think.

Ooops....

QueenOfTheAndals · 20/01/2019 09:24

I don't think she's changed that much. It's just that her face is less rounded now and she's discovered the joys of a daily blow dry and/or hair extensions!

Have the injured family sold their story to th press??

BeverlyGoldberg · 20/01/2019 11:06

From what I can gather, it's the passenger, who has said to the Daily Mail that she has not received an apology from the Palace.

If it's true it's pretty poor form.

Not posting a DM link because, as my toddler says, they're "not very kind"!

UrsulaPandress · 20/01/2019 11:39

I thought it was the ‘rule’ that the two sides involved in an accident only correspond through their insurance companies.

ElspethFlashman · 20/01/2019 11:54

Yeah but she was the passenger so she's not one of the parties.

motheroftinydragons · 20/01/2019 12:38

To be fair to PP and HM, they aren't going to offer a wedge of cash regardless of offerings of apologies etc. They aren't going to buy the passenger a new car (why should they?) when hers wasn't damaged. Yes PP should apologise and ask after everyone's health, it's just basic manners but who's to say that wasn't/isn't in the pipeline? I'm sure how he says sorry needs to go through various channels and checks or they open themselves up to all sorts of accusations and these things take a bit of time.

The papers will offer ready cash. Sadly, most people would go with a cheque being wafted under their nose however a sincere apology they receive. I'm willing to bet even if they'd had a carved apology on solid gold tablet then the papers would have offered cash to see it and get a story about how it isn't good enough and the passenger has a sore arm or whatever.

Zoeputthatdown · 20/01/2019 12:39

Hi have followed earlier threads, just catching up.

motheroftinydragons · 20/01/2019 12:40

Anyway sorry, I promised I wasn't going to de-lurk only to waffle on about non clothes related gossip. And I've just done exactly that. Apologies clothes lovers.

What engagements have we to look forward to this week?

Paradyning · 20/01/2019 13:08

Max and Wax usually go to Davos I think. Along will Mathilde and Leti.
William is going this wear too.

itswinetime · 20/01/2019 13:15

I'm not psychic just what I thought should happen like I said be silly not to but their choice

7salmonswimming · 20/01/2019 13:34

KM definitely has extensions (as well as regular blow dries), you can tell by the thickness of her ponytail when she wears it up, and just how consistently her hair looks the way it does, whatever the climate and weather. She also has veneers and fillers.

I’ve no opinion on any woman in the world doing any of this stuff. But when you’re Queen-in-waiting, this level of vanity belies a proper insecurity and misunderstanding of what your role is. Yes, she IS a clothes horse and she IS photographed a lot. But it doesn’t matter what she looks like (as long as she’s clean, neat, inoffensive). Her job is to support the king and raise the next one, publicise the charities she is associated with, and be discreet. You don’t need extensions, fillers or veneers to do any of these things!

I don’t see anything wrong with being fashionable or wearing nice gowns. But to tamper with what you’ve got to the point of extensions/veneers/fillers suggests you’re not happy with the way you are. That you want to look different, better, more something-else. It suggests you actually dislike your own appearance, to the extent of eradicating your own self to a degree. It suggests you actually care about appearances A LOT. I don’t think that’s befitting of a queen-to-be.

PineapplePower · 20/01/2019 13:48

I don’t think that’s befitting of a queen-to-be

Besides the Queen and perhaps Prince Charles, the RF are little more than celebs. So it makes sense on some level to do the done celeb things like this.

Though Willy doesn’t even bother with a decent suit, much less veneers/hair plugs so maybe only married-ins care about their appearance

Paradyning · 20/01/2019 13:50

William is going this wear too.

Clearly. I meant. William is going this time too. Although he will wear a boring suit so....

DobbyTheHouseElk · 20/01/2019 14:06

Maybe she likes hair extensions and fillers. Why not?

itswinetime · 20/01/2019 14:23

To be honest the Amount of scrutiny they undergo In The papers ( the amount of interest in meghans feet case in point). I can't blame anyone who wants to make them selves more confident.

Im rubbish an knowing the signs for fillers ect but I think some of Catherine's changes are down to age as as well.

motheroftinydragons · 20/01/2019 15:08

Some of her changes are age and some are weight related I think. She's obviously heavier in the younger picture (though I've never seen a picture of her actually looking anything like heavy, even when pregnant!).

But some I think are extensions, fillers etc. But who cares even if they are? She looks amazing. If I had the money and access to discreet services like she does I'd have the lot too.

Spudlet · 20/01/2019 15:40

I'd definitely have a few tiny tweaks made. I'd get my teeth whitened for sure, and perhaps a few hair extensions for extra bounciness... I'm not trying to eradicate myself, I'd just like myself to be in a package with nicer hair and no big chip out of my front tooth. If I was constantly being scrutinised, blogged about and potentially pulled into tiny pieces for every hair out of place you can bet I'd be trying to make the best of myself.

TSSDNCOP · 20/01/2019 15:43

If I married an HRH and you had to look at photos of me in the paper every day, you’d be calling out why hadn’t I had fillers, decent haircut and a personal trainer.

In Catherine’s case I’m not sure it’s not just creating a uniform. Clearly though if she thought no one would criticise her because now she’s got straight teeth she was sadly mistaken.

Pupsiecola · 20/01/2019 16:05

I refuse to believe that DoC has hair extensions. I think it's just that her style has evolved over time, she has blowdries, she uses top notch products etc.

Jiggins · 20/01/2019 16:06

Oh she's definitely got a few extensions tucked away in that mane of hers. I'd put money on it.

Anapurna · 20/01/2019 16:09

Regarding the extensions, it must be a worry that a gust of wind might reveal how they are attached. Would she take that risk? Maybe the Tudor headdresses she has taken to wearing keep her hair and the extensions firmly in place.

Anapurna · 20/01/2019 16:11

Her hair seems thicker now Confused which is the opposite of what usually happens as a person ages.
