Previous thread.

Usual rules - say what you like about the clothes, keep it civil re the wearers.

I’m hoping that a couple of generations of good looking commoners marrying into the RF and they should become pretty good looking.
Those Hanoverian genes are hard to dilute.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 07/01/2019 16:09

I’m olive and I’m a winter

queenofarles · 07/01/2019 16:11

I'm joining Ida on the headband love, I really like them on Kate.
Maybe she should start a new hat trend and bring back those Fablous 60s handkerchief hats /turbans or whatever they are called.

I like the headbands too.
Maybe Kate is softening us up for a return to the turban!

Scroll through HMs headgear to find the 1960s and 1970s turbans.
( it’s a bit wierd seeing her age from youthful middle age to elderly....)

LaurenOrdering · 07/01/2019 16:21

That's brilliant news @IdaBWells

I'll join CABHAS. Look I even have a Kate hat DD's Primark neck pillow

Photo 11's hat gives her Trump hair!

Princess Margaret was the queen of turbans though - turbans and caftans!

If Kate shows up wearing something like this then we'll know she's lost the plot!

@Mikado hope your first day in your new job went well.

@Cel982 I always thought Kate was a clear bright Winter suiting jewel tones & also looking great in white or black too.

QueenOfTheAndals · 07/01/2019 16:25

I would put Meghan as a clear bright Winter but Kate maybe something between a Winter and Autumn? Someone like Sophie is a summer, Beatrice an autumn.

Come on ladies (and any gentlemen lurking) show me your best Kate hat neck pillow or whatever Grin

QueenOfTheAndals · 07/01/2019 16:31

Mine featured on the last thread! Or was it earlier in this one?

Yes I remember that it was gorgeous Smile

IdaBWells · 07/01/2019 16:58

I always think the strangest hat/headgear I have seen the Queen wear is what she wore to PC's investiture as Prince of Wales. Can someone post a pic?

IdaBWells · 07/01/2019 17:00

Fabulous LaurenOrdering. RF take note, what we need is more hats with faces.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 07/01/2019 17:04

Thé investiture hat is in the link I posted a few posts up

QueenOfTheAndals · 07/01/2019 17:05

Hmm yes, that investiture hat was a bit odd.

IdaBWells · 07/01/2019 17:06

Y'know there's been such a movement toward beards and facial hair on hipster men and yet not a corresponding return of hats. Surprising that such a fun fashion accessory is only seen on sunny days (never) and weddings. Oh and the occasional bobble hat I s'pose.

queenofarles · 07/01/2019 17:06

Queen Pola of Belgium was fan of the headbands too. Maybe the lime green one is pillbox,

That investiture hat looks like a collapsed inflatable willy!
Sorry to lower the tone Wink

Clionba · 07/01/2019 17:07

Maybe HM thought she had to keep up with Tony Jones' avant garde styling, including a bizarre crown for Charles, and a very odd Constable of the Castle get up for himself.

IdaBWells · 07/01/2019 17:10

Thank you Queen its quite a Star Wars look actually.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 07/01/2019 17:11

medieval women’s head coverings veerrry complicated

IdaBWells · 07/01/2019 17:13

LaurenOrdering 😂Grin

frugalkitty · 07/01/2019 17:14

There's five of us here snd we have a neck pillow each so I'm spoilt for choice.....classy soft blue velour, beach huts or to male a real statement I could opt for a Star Wars one Grin

MakeItAmazing · 07/01/2019 17:15

Thank you for posting your link Curly.. I enjoyed the picture of the QM, her husband, King George and Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret. I've been grilling my MIL as George was on the throne in their lifetime. Asking about the changes in money, stamps, to have a female monarch after a male etc.
