Previous thread.

Usual rules - say what you like about the clothes, keep it civil re the wearers.

Quite agree Blooming in fact I can see the monarchy regressing to a bygone era if anything, once W&K are on the throne.

Be Lucky Mikado.

I don’t think those headbands work with long curled hair and longer clothing. They have a very 60s vibe and I think they look great with mini dresses and costumes and the different hairstyles from that era.

MakeItAmazing · 06/01/2019 19:03

It's Catherine's birthday this week. She'll be 37.

MakeItAmazing · 06/01/2019 19:06

What does everyone think of the report that Suits producers want Meghan back for one episode?

QueenOfTheAndals · 06/01/2019 19:10

I've not heard it but it's probably safe to say it's bollocks!

Paradyning · 06/01/2019 19:16

I think they'd love her to go back. Can't see it happening though!

MakeItAmazing · 06/01/2019 19:18

I'll try that again…

Prince Edward's Christening.

VamillaSugar · 06/01/2019 19:25

Lol at Prince Andrew!!! He’s definitely rather porc(h)y, the little love Grin

QueenOfTheAndals · 06/01/2019 19:37

Little Andrew certainly looks pleased with himself! And Anne looks so much like Zara and Louise there.

Good luck for tomorrow Mikado.

I've been ambivalent about Kate's headbands - I have quite liked a few of them - but today's offering is frankly diabolical. So fussy and frumpy.

MakeItAmazing · 06/01/2019 19:57

Oh God, will you give it a rest about Andrew?

Program on channel 5 shortly about Catherine and Meghan.

mikado1 · 06/01/2019 19:59

Thanks user and MotherofPearl . I look forward to the updates here tomorrow evening!

Bloominglovely · 06/01/2019 20:43

Charles as a young man always looked so forlorn.

WindyWednesday · 06/01/2019 20:52

Watching the C5 Princesses at War prog.

Don’t they realise they are both Duchesses? Total rubbish, quotes from the sun rag.

Lady Colin Campbell and her random statements. 🤨Still watching for the dresses though!!

Parabolica · 06/01/2019 21:00

I must admit Kate's headband didn't work for me today - too fussy, not really a flattering colour, also think it looks better with an up do. But I loved her whole look at Louis' christening. Wonder if she is trying to make it 'her thing' (part of the new queenly Kate post-3rd baby). Her version of the Diana headbands!

I'm recording the Meghan Kate programme to discuss later.
Anyone else now being stalked by advertisements for Bicester village? Confused

Gentlygently · 06/01/2019 21:20

Question about tailoring - are the clothes less comfortable if they fit perfectly? That seems like a silly question but all the time I see the DoC I think her clothes are tailored perfectly for standing or walking. Doesn’t that make it a bit tight when you sit down?

Clionba · 06/01/2019 21:32

Both Kate and Meghan are princesses.

YahBasic · 06/01/2019 21:46

I suppose technically they are princesses in the sense that they are Princess William/Henry of Wales, but they can’t be Princess Catherine or Princess Meghan.

VamillaSugar · 06/01/2019 21:50

The Duchesses at War is hilarious if it wasn’t so awful. Yayyyyyy, Paul Burrell. Can we discuss his suit, please?

That's like if the Von Trapps had made outfits out of tea towels rather than curtains!

frugalkitty · 06/01/2019 21:58

beanaseiresnn I can't decide what season Kate is, I think she's either a summer (like me) or an autumn. She could be a deep summer (rather than a pastel one) which is what confuses me as she looks good, in photos at least, in colours that are more autumn like such as ivory and the soft sludge green like the casual outfit on the India tour. Hard to judge by photos alone though, but it wouldn't surprise me if she's like me and able to wear both silver and gold jewellery so a slighter warmer summer than an icey pale pastel one.

Bear in mind that when you have your colours done each one is given a rating as to how good it is for you when worn as 100/75/50/25% of an outfit, so even one of your colours might not be making it a wow outfit if it suits you more as an accessory colour (25% so scarf and gloves) and you've got a full length evening gown on in it. I hope that makes a bit of sense, it's hard to explain!
