Aren't they just a bit long cherries? What are they like on the bum? I'm hoping mine wont be skintight actually as i think that I look better in slim straights ..

Can you turn them up a bit and post again in a better light?

Mine and other stuff should be here today !!

Laska2Meryls · 04/01/2019 10:19

Did you end up with 10's in the end Never?

SoyYo · 04/01/2019 10:22

@not yes on seaborne ferries! We’re obviously in the wrong line of work...why we can be major shareholders in Hush with that 13.8m for imaginary ferries Grin

@soup oooh no I haven’t got any of your latest purchases so it’ll be interesting to read what you think

@cherries I think the leggings are too loose on the leg but as not said is it because you’ve not tucked them under at the end? I’m a short arse so they were very long but this was easily sorted by folding a hem at the bottom and pulling them down and the fold stays in place so no need to cut them. If that doesn’t solve it then you need to go down to a 10 Shock...they do look great otherwise but it will stretch with wear so do consider a 10.
In the spirit of “sheep” I placed an order for the Florence skirt in a 14 Blush enough said about that...

@melen Have a lovely time!

SoyYo · 04/01/2019 10:26

Ah posted before seeing @never and @laska replies

Laska2Meryls · 04/01/2019 10:31

soy I really laughed about yout 'nigerian' Seabourne tweet ( although of course its another Brexfuxit tragedy .

Yesterday was quite hard , more DM clothes sorting out.. lots wet to charity but I cried when I had to leave her old coat in the textile bank.. (I wanted to go back later and retrieve it , but didnt )

Soy I realise that I still haven't replied to you , I want to , but its hard to know what to say some days , but I did so appreciate your lovely email

ilovecherries · 04/01/2019 10:34

I sat in them for 5 mins and when I got up they would barely stay up, I was hitching them up every couple of steps. DD emerged from her room, glanced at me and said ‘FAR too big, mum’. So back they go.

SoyYo · 04/01/2019 10:35

Bless you @laska only write back if you feel like it I know how hard it is and in any case we’re always in touch on the thread which always cheers us up 😘
I feel for you I remember doing DM’s clothes but was lucky to have company (DSF on one occasion and her best friend on the final sorthrough) I cried so much it even makes me tearful to think about it 10 years later. You are a braver woman than me Flowers

ilovecherries · 04/01/2019 10:36

laska. I feel for you. Clearing out personal items is just so hard.

Did you end up with 10's in the end Never?

@Laska2meryls In the leather leggings? I would never have fitted the 10's because of the waist band. Its pretty tight for me getting it by my hips because I am a pear rather than straight up and down. I fit the 12 fine but its a wriggle still to get them by my hips but maybe is a wriggle to get any leather legging on unless they are big. Ross in friend springs to mind.

SoyYo · 04/01/2019 10:40

Big Hug dear laska
cherries size 10 is truly AMAZING Well done you! You need them as a treat to yourself for having achieved what none of us could even dream of doing, your determination is inspiring 💪

neveradullmoment99 · 04/01/2019 10:44

Yes, well done @cherries. All your good effort is paying off. Try the 10's. I am sure they will fit you :)

neveradullmoment99 · 04/01/2019 10:52

Yay....managed to bag the Alford boots. Size 6 appeared so ordered. Had my eye on these forever but they were far too expensive. I got the chain ones today and they are gorgeous but I feel they are just far too similar to my other pair, so they will go back.
The bailey jeans in black washed are fantastic so a great bargain at £35. Sized up because I had them in blue before and never felt comfortable in the 12's.
They are perfect. The Ivy dress in black in XS is great too. Still awaiting the leather skirt [ hopefully tomorrow and the Alford boots]
Cashmere jumper is just an awful colour on me. Not sure who it would suit and perhaps that's why it is in the sale. Its a fleshy pinky beige that washes me out. So its going back too.

NotAnActualSheep · 04/01/2019 11:07

Absolutely - its an amazing achievement cherries! (Even if you have had to replace your entire wardrobe a few times!)

laska Flowers for you. Take care of yourself still...

Well done on the boots never - they are lovely! Shame about the jumper. its so difficult to tell which shades work until you see them in the flesh (and sometimes not even then!)

I am NOT going to buy the florence skirt even though it is lovely

SoyYo · 04/01/2019 11:12

Fab news @never! I thought the boots were awesome but you’re right to return if too similar to those you have, at least you’ve scratched the itch in RL and returning them and the cashmere will make keeping the leather skirt very virtuous Wink
Did you mean harley Jeans? Because I went to check and hadn’t seen them before which is just as well (ooo now) or I would have had to buy them just because of the name Grin
On the bright side while I was there I checked for the zillion time on zebra joggers stock and YES I’ve managed to bag a S which means I can return the M I bought with the 20% off without regret. I was a little sad at having to return them as I really love them but knew they were too big on me. Result!

Laska2Meryls · 04/01/2019 11:14

Better now.. sorry .. ...love those boots never great swipe, hope they fit I have a weird thing for the Marden boots. Am sort of tempted , but they are fugly arent they ?

Well ill know son but I am round of tum , slimmer in hip ,and legs not skinny so I think 12s may be for me in the leather leggings also

SoyYo · 04/01/2019 11:22

@laska we’re very similar body shape so I think the leggings will fit and look good (fingers crossed!)
Personally the Marden boots wouldn’t tempt me at all, they’re probably super comfy but yes really fugly to me...

Laska2Meryls · 04/01/2019 11:48

.. But they do appeal to my 'Scandinavian' side.. But I know what DH would say!! Scandi relative in-laws sadly or I'd be getting a passport !

Missbobbins · 04/01/2019 11:51

HNY everyone. Hope 2019 is a lovely and less stressful year for you all.. 🥰

I need you ladies to work your magic - do you know where I can find these? They are Ash Majestic Trainers.
I am so behind the times, they now appear to be as rare as hens teeth. Teeny tiny sizes are available but I need a 6 (or a 7).

I have fallen in love with them and know that nothing else will cut the mustard. (I know - first world problems and all that! 😂)

AFingerofFudge · 04/01/2019 11:56

Morning all!! Just awake after a nightshift. Not working tonight (and am on Annual Leave for a week!Grin) so up fairly early as need to sleep tonight.

Love reading about all your sale purchases.

I really struggle with nightshifts sometimes and last night was no exception. It was really busy until about 2.30am and then calmed down so I had a little break. My brain had some sort of denial thing going on in a no-you're-not-skint kind of way and it appears I've ordered the shiny red Aurelie bag and the pink Jones metallic jumper. Blush At no point all season have I considered these but suddenly at 3am they seemed really important to own!!!! Will collect from Waitrose tomorrow and report back. My red stripe Dylan trousers are ready to collect too.

I need to cut up my cards now and shut down my bank account!!!

Huffthepuff · 04/01/2019 12:00

Are they the snow boots @laska? I'm totally with you. They appeal to my log cabin dwelling, Scandinavian inner self.

Thanks for the wonderful words re. Childcare. You are all so supportive. I dropped him off this morning and he seemed very happy. It was just me that felt teary! One day I'd love to go down to part time hours (I'd need to fix my shopping habit if I did) but I can't complain at all about the situation we're in.

Back to clothes... I'm thinking I'll return the Boden jumper. I must stop getting excited that things fit ok and thinking that means they should stay. It's lovely but not sure it is a huge enhancement to my wardrobe. It's 44% polyamide. Is that like polyester? So despite the rest of the mix being natural (wool, cotton, alpaca) it has a slightly odd feel to it. Here it is over a long sleeve tee and then over a denim shirt
My Coach bag finally arrived today which is a good reminder of the lovely things I've acquired during the jan sales. I don't NEED to keep everything (my bank account agrees)

MissBobbins I have those very trainers but they are over 2 years old now so you are unlikely to get them now .. Ash do usually do them every S/S year though in a different colour . (I also have black/ leopard ones bought from Brand Alley, but they dont have your size either right now) ..

Laska2Meryls · 04/01/2019 12:05

... However If anyone is a 5 and fancied black leopard star trainers..

Huff I remember doing that also with my DS first day of nursery..FlowersGin
Boden Jumper does look good on you , but yes quality is key..
