Grin laska those welly booties you linked are sooo bad they’re almost good!
Yours are fine @Fuzzy (is that a sigh of relief I hear? Wink)
Tbh I am a Mum and could easily be a gran too so wear what the hell you like because it’s not what you wear it’s how you wear it. Attitude will get you everywhere IMO.
@melen your fierce gran sounds like my kind of woman 💪
@gin nice to read you! Glad you’ve been misbehaving Smile

So I’m 🙏 so this whole farce is over soon and this country regains its sanity...Whatever happens I think Parliament will not allow a “no deal” to go through and that is a major positive step forward.
I think Cameron, never mind May, should be sent to the Tower by the Queen for getting everyone in this totally unnecessary mess in the first place instead of being allowed to swoon off to his bloody shepherds hut. Angry

Oh well...there’s always Hush, fashion, granny booties and Banderas

wearenotacodfish · 15/01/2019 19:30

Not that impressed by the new collection I like the Beatrice jumper and the culottes and possibly the silk shirt but it's £££

As for pensioner boots I keep an eye on what one of our staff wears and so long as I'm not dressing like her I'm all good. I also have the worry of dressing like a teenager to contend with.

Talisin · 15/01/2019 19:36

Laska Ah but therein lies the conundrum - no one can entirely agree on the definition of the mum boot. There have been many threads on this very issue. Generally agreed is that they’re black, round toed ankle boots, slightly stacked heel but above all very very ‘safe’. Nothing edgy. Mumsnet has put the fear of frumpy footwear into me and the worst part is I’m not even a mum!

Laska2Meryls · 15/01/2019 19:38

codfish Oh Heck.. you dont work in my office do you? I am the oldest there now and how the blinkin fk did that happen?!

wearenotacodfish · 15/01/2019 19:59

@Laska2Meryls it's definitely not you, she would have no idea what Hush is I think she's more of a Bon Marche kinda girl and she never wears her cardigans properly.

FuzzyCustard · 15/01/2019 20:07

I definitely haven't got any of those laska. (I bet T MAy wishes she had...she could chuck them at Jeremy Corbyn!)

dontcallmelen · 15/01/2019 20:08

Soy yy watching it now, such a shower of pillocks I have no words left.

FuzzyCustard · 15/01/2019 20:10

I wish I was a cat. They have lovely fur that always fits and never goes out of date, and they care nothing for Brexit!

dontcallmelen · 15/01/2019 20:11

Gin oooh a very busy few days, you must be shattered.
Cherries hope you are enjoying your holiday & weather not to bad.

dontcallmelen · 15/01/2019 20:14

I can’t get my head around the DUP supporting May & Brexit, unless it’s to ultimately scupper the GFA.

FuzzyCustard · 15/01/2019 20:18

soYo it was definitely a sigh of relief. Now, should I be concerned about my floral, metallic 25 year old Doc Martens?

dontcallmelen · 15/01/2019 20:24

Fuzzy you are a style icon, with those babies.

NotAnActualSheep · 15/01/2019 20:28

You've all been chatty! I too have moved here now BBC parliament has moved onto car parking at Nuneaton... What a shower of ***. Why can't we have a government/ opposition that stops playing to the gallery and starts doing something in the interests of the country... Gahhhhh. It's enough to turn me to granny boots GrinConfused

Though I have to confess, I possibly would wear the puss in boots boots especially if handed to me by Sr Banderas I do love a bit of ridiculous footwear. And you can apparently wear those uncuffed too, so they are versatile Blush. I also quite like the pink coloured Cuban heel ones with the cut away ankle...they could look good with a skirt for the chunky of calf, like me. But having said that, neither of them for £200.

I do love your furry ones though fuzzy (sorry, that's probably the kiss of death for them now, with my earlier admission Grin)

I'm a bit meh about most of the new offerings, I have to say. I do like the floaty hibiscus print skirt, the straight legged jeans, the culottes (though I have some similar) and the duck-egg jumper, but not enough to actually buy any... Probably just as well as I may have ventured into the toast sale rail again Angry

NotAnActualSheep · 15/01/2019 20:34

Ha! How can you "not wear a cardigan properly" codfish!!! worried I have been committing cardigan crimes

FuzzyCustard · 15/01/2019 20:43

No kiss of death for my boots nota...they are too comfortable for that. (Oh glory...I even sound like I deserve grannyboots now)

dontcallmelen · 15/01/2019 20:43

Yy cardi crimes, am seriously worried as I do love a cardi.
Thankfully not really lusting after anything, do like the hibiscus print though & some of the jumpers are nice, but way to expensive for me.
Hmm toast sale rail, do tell Not

FuzzyCustard · 15/01/2019 20:45

Also worried about cardigan crimes now.

wearenotacodfish · 15/01/2019 20:45

@NotAnActualSheep sort of off one shoulder and not straight.

Brexit is giving me absolute rage I have resorted to metaphorically sticking my fingers in my ears and humming loudly.

FuzzyCustard · 15/01/2019 20:49

Hitches cardigan straight.

Also annoyed by Brexit and metaphorically humming...lalalalalala...

I've been looking at the Toast sale and there's one or two nice things (And some I wouldn't be seen dead in , but that's ok) but it's too pricey for me. I can but dream.

SoyYo · 15/01/2019 20:53

Oh I’ve had a good laugh reading you lot this eve 🤣what with granny boots, Mays Brexit (see pic I wonder what happened to that brilliant idea) and wearing a cardigan the wrong way (indeed how is that even possible?) Grin

The Hushistas wait for Spring
SoyYo · 15/01/2019 20:54

Not forgetting puss in boots And Mum boots Wink

twosoups1972 · 15/01/2019 20:56

What a lot to catch up on! Had a quick look at the Spring preview, nothing really caught my eye, will have a proper look later.

Thank you all so much for your kinds words about dd. She had a good day today - bit of babysitting for a neighbour which involved taking the baby for a walk in the pram. Did her good to be out in the fresh air I think and she really loves this baby.

SoyYo · 15/01/2019 20:57

Ooh actually wearing a cardigan the wrong way is perfectly feasible
m.boden.co.uk/en-gb/womens-knitwear/jumpers/k0226/womens-mollie-jumper
Are you sure your co worker is not just wearing one of Boden’s imaginative cardy offerings?

SoyYo · 15/01/2019 20:59

soups great news! Fresh air is so important to our mood, specially this time of year and babies (specially when you get to do the fun bits only) are the best antidote to gloom ever invented! I’m really glad to read that Smile

twosoups1972 · 15/01/2019 21:00

gin welcome back! I've always wanted to go the the Lake District, would you recommend?
