@CrazyCrunk it sold for £46 which was a little more than I was willing to pay.

Is it this one soups?

twosoups1972 · 14/01/2019 12:30

Yes brilliant thank you sheep Smile

twosoups1972 · 14/01/2019 12:31

Reporting back on the Hush Alessia shirt - ordered a 12 and a 14. 14 is a little loose but 12 pulls (just slightly) over the bust. It's very see through though, I tried it with a white bra but I think skin tone will be much better. It's very nice but not sure how much I would wear it.

twosoups1972 · 14/01/2019 12:42

@laska burgundy leggings have come back into stock from Luxury Legs! I have ordered them Smile

FuzzyCustard · 14/01/2019 12:46

I love Spring...the garden coming to life and promise of better weather ahead. And being able to go in the sea again. (Oddly, the outfit I feel most confident in is a wetsuit!)

I wore the Poetry skirt today with a grey chunky cardi and black boots. (Autocorrect wanted me to wear a "CHUCKY" cardi, which is something entirely different)

justilou1 · 14/01/2019 13:14

Thanks for the welcome, everyone! It’s summer holidays here, which means my three kids are BORED! So I don’t get to check in as much as I’d like. (Can’t wait for the little darlings to go back to school.) Also, it’s too hot and humid to move much. I loathe it. Jealously reading mentions of snow and sighing about knitwear.

twosoups1972 · 14/01/2019 13:48

What's the weather like just? How long do kids get off school in the summer?

dontcallmelen · 14/01/2019 17:28

Fuzzy I fear Chucky cardi is the stuff of nightmares.
Yy spring, seeing some colour & days getting a bit longer it’s very grey & windy here today & papers are full of dire predictions for the next few weeks of temperatures plunging snow & ice⛄️
Did buy some daffs today, definitely brightened my mood.

Talisin · 14/01/2019 17:49

Hush advertising the pre-spring drop tomorrow on Insta. Brief bit of footage of a model wearing cropped black trousers/culottes, grey sweater with Love Saves the Day in silver writing and what looks like a silver version of the Upton boots here

Laska2Meryls · 14/01/2019 18:16

Annoyingly nothing on PRshots this time though Talisin.. not that I've been stalking them there or anything

HelloJustlou .. beware ! its a very dangerous place here .. Wink

Two Soups I haven't had a refund yet from Luxury legs , so maybe not my Dyson'ed ones then Grin

Shopping the wardrobe today has unearthed two pairs of ankle boots one are studded and buckled which i have found annoying in the past as they are noisy to walk in..(heels too 'clicky' but I am going to go and get them resoled and heeled with some thicker soles ) And one lightish brown pair that I had put out for charity bag previously , But i have decided to try and dye them burgundy . ave bought some stuff (Angelus leather dye) .. Ella I think you did a pair last year ,how did the colour hold up to wear? ) .

I also cut down a Tu burgundy suede skirt that I got on ebay a while ago to a mini.. (It was v.v cheap so wasn't worried about ruining it). but I think it looks good! I need to stitch the lining hem up , but ill post it when im next here during the day ( maybe Friday )

Soy good to hear that DS has gone back to Brighton.. I hope you had a lovely lazy day yesterday ..

cherries are you on holiday yet? is there snow?

never your house sounds hectic!!

Laska2Meryls · 14/01/2019 18:23

Look.m good finds out of wardobe eh ( just call me Imelda!) Grin black do need some TLC . I have already used some burgundy polish on the brown but will dye them I think.

Laska2Meryls · 14/01/2019 18:25

photos not working it seems.

Ellapaella · 14/01/2019 18:26

@Laska2Meryls yes I dyed some boots and have been very pleased with the results - it's lasted very well.

justilou1 · 15/01/2019 01:00

@Twosoups -Where I live, (I have been here since October, and I don't exactly love the place, tbh) the temperature is sub-tropical - like Florida. Summer is hot and humid - usually around 36' and sticky. Gross. It was hotter for the last few weeks, pushing 40' and I was dying. The kids have been off since the beginning of Dec, and return on the 29th (I think) of Jan - so about 8 weeks. Of course, Feb is notoriously the hottest month. Doesn't make sense. I have become the sun-phobic Nanna who has bought a very un-stylish UV-reflective umbrella as well as the whole hat & sunglasses, combo. My husband has been uttering things about Mary Bloody Poppins under his breath. My kids are mortified to be seen with me. (Meanwhile, my skin is SO MUCH better than most women I went to school with due to staying out of sunshine and wearing Korean spf every day - oh, and I suppose living in the Netherlands helped too!)

Laska2Meryls · 15/01/2019 07:20

Wow justlou I would really struggle in that heat I think .
Working today but just couldn't resist having a quick gander to see if any new stuff... None yet..

AFingerofFudge · 15/01/2019 07:57

There's some new Hush stuff on the John Lewis website but I'm at work so shouldn't be looking

Talisin · 15/01/2019 08:35

Having had a quick scroll through the new stuff, there’s nothing screaming ‘buy me now’. I do like the Jules sequin Love Saves the Day jumper and the yellow Amore-with-lightning-bolt top (which would not suit me at all) but otherwise bit meh about it all currently.

Laska2Meryls · 15/01/2019 09:17

I shouldn't be looking either ( as at work) but it's on Hush now .TBH nothing jumping out at me so far.. Pair of Alford boots came in 39 s ( yours never?) I sent for them as some reviews say size up for kipper feet ( but am usually a 5) .. they may well be too big what was it I said yesterday?

twosoups1972 · 15/01/2019 10:41

Morning all.

I took dd to see a psychiatrist yesterday. The first appointment was taking a full history so I stayed and answered the questions as dd wasn't keen to talk/didn't know some of the answers. She has prescribed dd melatonin to help her sleep and told me to encourage normal sleeping patterns. So I have been doing the wrong thing by letting her sleep away the day. Dd has been pretty quiet. She's also had some hair loss which is upsetting. I'm going to ask for medical advice about that but does anyone have any tips in the meantime - vitamins/supplements/hair products etc... that might prevent further loss?

justilou1 · 15/01/2019 11:58

@Laska we have post-Christmas sales on at the moment, and I have chosen this as an excuse to indulge in some rather indulgent $pending. I purchased some new pillows with cooling gel pads as I suspect the bastard hormone fairy is about to bite as well (Is it summer or is it perimenopause - who the hell can tell?). I bought a 1100tc Egytian Cotton sheet set and some Vera Wang 1000tc Cotton Sheet set, and since I was at it, I bought a new duvet cover as well, in dark ivy green linen to cool me down further. I thought it was about time I had some lovely, grownup bed linen that didn't come from a chain store. I am washing it all and hanging it out to dry in the sun tomorrow and will let you know how blissfully I sleep tomorrow night. (Husband will think it's lovely, but have no idea how much was spent.)

FuzzyCustard · 15/01/2019 12:02

twosoups no advice (I have hair loss through auto immune condition and have no idea how to improve it) but big cheer for supporting your DD through the steps to improve her life. One day at a time...

justilou1 · 15/01/2019 12:02

BTW, @TwoSoups, My younger daughter was on Melatonin for years. She is a highly sensitive/anxious type and it took only a week or two to kick in, but it made a bigger difference to her sleep pattern and sense of "normalcy" than anything. You just have to time it right - not too far away from bedtime. I hope it helps your girl - nothing makes you feel more helpless than seeing your kids struggle!

dontcallmelen · 15/01/2019 12:06

Soups glad that you/dd had the appointment with the psychiatrist I my experience even getting someone to go to an appointment can be a big achievement, tbh I don’t think you ‘wrong’ in letting dd sleep as & when, it may well have been the best thing for her as she was so exhausted, but a good sleep pattern is important especially for anyone who is depressed & struggling with day to day life, hopefully the melatonin this will help her & I would encourage her to try & establish a bedtime rountine ie bath, warm drink etc & going to bed at the same time & getting up at a reasonable time each morning, even if she still feels tired a good sleep pattern is really helpful in lifting mood.
Re hair loss I know their is lots of supplements etc available but don’t really know if they work, definitely get some advice & maybe bloods checked could be deficient in iron or certain vitamins.💐
