Meal was lovely.. Pork steak, bubble and squeak, roast cauliflower, greens.. delicious gravy ,that I could have licked off the plate if I hadnt been in public .. but I didn't have any starter or dessert unlike the others and only one glass of wine , so I can justify cheese..

The red flower PJs are so lovely! if any come back in into Hush or JL (who still have xs and xl) I recommend them..

dontcallmelen · 12/01/2019 20:41

Ella that jumper is really pretty, rocking the socks on show look.
Meal sounds lovely Laska I feel as though I have done nothing but eat rubbish the last week or so, feel really bloated & lethargic at the moment, so definitely need to think about what I’m putting in my gob.

Somanyquestions2 · 12/01/2019 20:56

Laska it was at the end of the 'Further reductions' email a couple of days ago.

justilou1 · 12/01/2019 22:05

Hi Ladies! I’m hoping to play too. I have moved back to Australia after years in the Netherlands and can’t find clothes here that I like. On top of that, I have finally lost a LOT of weight. (55kg - which google tells me is 8.66 stone.) After reading the last couple of pages I have decided that Laska and I laundry twins, as I also must have matching pegs. I have decided to make a lot of changes and go back to university and invest in a new wardrobe. I am 46, but not quite ready for old lady clothes. I have worked out that the clothes on sale at your end are for the season we are heading into, and I’m thinking about ordering some Spanx faux leather leggings (not much point having real leather here) and some knitwear from Hush when they go on sale next month. Keeping an eye on everyone’s boots and trainers too! Thanks for being inspirational!

twosoups1972 · 13/01/2019 10:19

Welcome just Smile This is a lovely friendly thread, also nice to see new people.

ella that outfit looks so nice! I've never seen that Hush jumper before, is it the same colour as the Meryl?

laska meal sounds lovely, glad you had a good day.

Ellapaella · 13/01/2019 11:22

Thanks soups. - yes it was in the summer collection, I coveted it for ages and eventually snapped it up in the sale. I have a grey one too.

Ellapaella · 13/01/2019 11:27

Welcome Justilou

twosoups1972 · 13/01/2019 12:11

Can I share this lovely jewellery company with you? I discovered them by chance when I was in London with dd3 last year. They had a stall near London Bridge. I bought dd a little bracelet, quite inexpensive but pretty and I took a real like to their silver jewellery:

monbijoux.co.uk

Dh has ordered me a silver bangle for my birthday next week and I have just ordered for myself some silver earrings. They have 50% off at the moment! Definitely worth a look.

wearenotacodfish · 13/01/2019 13:14

I'm watching a marina skirt on eBay. Anyone who has one what is the most you would bid?

Talisin · 13/01/2019 13:25

The most I’ve paid was £50 in the sale for a striped one but I really, really loved it. For a plain one, probably £35- £40 if it was brand new (although I got a black one for £15 in the sample sale last year).

neveradullmoment99 · 13/01/2019 14:24

Welcome @Justilou
A marina skirt on ebay - Is it new? If it is, probably about £55 tops. Definitely not the price on the website. They still have them in stock at £65. I would pay about £35-£40 second hand. Maybe not as much depending upon the condition.
@Soyo, glad to hear from you. Looks like we have started a trend with our leather leggings. Was very tempted when a burgundy pair came back in stock but i dont think i would really wear that colour and not sure it would fit my wardrobe although they do look lovely on both laska and Cherries.
Hello to all the new faces on here. Looking forward to seeing the new collection but really cannot afford anything much [ If at anything] after my sale spends and i succumb to the 12 in the leather skirt. Have it in my wardrobe. Its a little tight around the waist but hopefully with maintaining my sugar free January and fasting will help with that.
Also purchased the smaller star bag which was reduced heavily but if it has the fault witht the fastening that i had before, it will go back. Lovely jewellery @twosoups. Have saved that website on my favourites :)

wearenotacodfish · 13/01/2019 15:31

@neveradullmoment99 and @Talisin I was thinking £40 so it's good to see I'm in the right ballpark. I probably don't need it but I'd does look very versatile.

dontcallmelen · 13/01/2019 16:04

Justilou hello wow that’s some weight loss👏
Soups jewellery is very pretty.

twosoups1972 · 13/01/2019 16:49

ella as it's so mild today, I followed your lead on cropped jeans with trainers and socks look. Wore my new MV burgundy trainers which my 11 year old dd admired!

NotAnActualSheep · 13/01/2019 17:21

Hope you have all had good weekends! DS is currently in a "playdate" doing something loud on the computer, with good natured noises emerging from the room every now and again...and DH and I have been banished to the living room with a cup of tea. It's quite nice not having to do anything. I've been browsing through soups jewellery website. Some gorgeous stuff there - Thanks for the heads up!

Yy to wearing stuff rather than keeping for best. I'm awful for doing that... I did wear that blue flowery hush dress this morning, but then changed out of it into an outfit suitable for biscuit-making...which proved to be a good idea. Flourmageddon.

Well done to fuzzy and justilou on the weight loss!! That is amazing, both of you. I'm not surprised it is totally making you rethink your wardrobes, and what suits you and so on. fuzzy, really, as cherries said, it is great seeing photos of "actual" people in the clothes they buy (heads cut off if you want to retain anonymity Grin). I am the same in "real life"- I do my best to avoid ever having a photo taken of me... but here, I've got a "what is the worst that can happen" mentality!

I love the socks and trainers look. I'm always a bit uncertain it will work on me, but Ella has nailed it! I'm going to try it when the wind stops hurling bins at me whenever I go outside...

aworldofmyown I tried the zebra dress in JL too! It is such a cute print, but I just couldn't get it to hang properly, without looking like I was wearing a binbag. Really odd cut for me...

soy so glad your DS is working over his difficult time, and it sounds like he has a plan that is working for him, which must be half the battle Flowers

NotAnActualSheep · 13/01/2019 17:28

I'm not sure I'm feeling spring at the moment...which is totally the opposite for autumn/ winter. I was dying to get into cosy jumpers and tights and dark clothes (after the heatwave of last summer!). I may change my mind on Tuesday of course, but I feel I've got lots of things that I can "transition" into. Im always a bit dubious about spring too...it's either freezing and rainy and you need winter stuff, or straight into summer (maybe with a cardigan on top!) Is there anything in particular people are looking out for?

SoyYo · 13/01/2019 17:42

So lovely to read you girls.
I’m still failing to catch up 100% with 5 days of missed thread (lovely chat though I love doing a few pages here and there)
Welcome @just!
@never so you did end up keeping the leather skirt? Smile it did look good on you. I had a little look at the further reductions just this pm and I’m so tempted by the Devore leopard skirt...it’s my birthday early in FeB and it falls first weekend in Feb (close to @cherries) I’m super tempted to go to the sample sale as a little treat. It’s only 1hr 15 mins to Kings Cross...
If anyone is thinking of going or knows the exact date/place please pm me

@ella as always looking fabulous

@soup thank you for the nice words and to say as I’m catching up I now realise what happened with DD. I do think it’s for the best. She needs just to rest and be where she’s cocooned in TLC till she feels stronger. Big Hug. We want to take away their pain...yet sometimes all we can do is provide safe refuge from the storm. My DS is back in Brighton today. He seems in a much better place. Will be back by next Thursday night to ensure he goes to his first counselling assessment session. I think the very fact he’s got a plan now to get better has made him feel lots better.

@cherries hope you’re enjoying your break

I am cultivating La Dolce Far Niente this weekend 😆 have done nothing, feeling much better for it too. Therefore wearing grey harems and Boden Breton lounging on my sofa like a lady of leisure

@laska your meal sounds amazing

@melen you and I both on eating the wrong things! Well you can hardly blame me last week it is De rigeur to be a gourmand. When in Paris and all that Wink

SoyYo · 13/01/2019 17:46

@not I forgot to add loved the skirt on you with the jumper! It looks súper!
I don’t want to wish my life away but tbh can’t wait for our 10 day break in Spain in mid Feb...just to feel a bit of warmth and see the sun for a change.

Ellapaella · 13/01/2019 18:08

@NotAnActualSheep not feeling spring vibes here either.. in the North East we get very chilly winds right up until the end of April so very unlikely I will be donning spring clothes for a long time yet. I think we had an unusually early and warm spring/summer last year, I don't think we'll be lucky enough to get that again for at least another few years!

I do have my Rome trip coming up though and hopefully it will be warm when we go (at least warmer than here anyway) so I'm hoping you will all help me with my Rome wardrobe. My treat to myself this year (I have a significant birthday coming up) is going to be a pair of fancy designer sunglasses.

Ellapaella · 13/01/2019 18:09

@SoyYo I like the 'dolce Far Niente' concept.. that sounds like a fab day, just what we all need every now and then to recharge the batteries.

SoyYo · 13/01/2019 21:22

@ella you’ll have all of Rome saying “Bella, Bellísima” Wink yes can’t wait to see what you’re planning to pack...

neveradullmoment99 · 13/01/2019 21:39

@soyo - I had the 14 and decided to try out the 12. Its neat around the waist but there are less wrinkles around the hips. Atm I have a completely full house and its hard to get any moments that I can try it on without someone around. I don't have a full length mirror in my bedroom, only half size, so I cant even see what it looks like. I cant do it early in the morning as my daughter in law is up with the baby! I ordered a jumper too that I am going to return and I don't want to hang on to orders as hush have been taking ages and ages to refund. I have had to give them a prod recently and fortunately they refunded me immediately. I don't want to keep having to do that. So it needs to go back tomorrow after work tbh if I am not keeping it. I do really like it and apart from the waist its a super comfy skirt. I am just a little worried its a little short now I have ordered the 12 so need to try to see. I hopefully get a chance at some point tonight or if i get up super early, but its hard right now!!!
@Ella I too am the same. Find spring a bit meh tbh. Its neither here nor there. I think they have hinted there may be some snow afoot anyway from mid January onwards due to the polar vortex splitting or something like that. It has been bad in Europe seemingly atm.
I will be browsing the hush website on Tuesday seeing whats available. In any case they normally offer 10% within a few days so its not worth rushing. It is annoying when they sell out of things but they will have to wait for me.

neveradullmoment99 · 13/01/2019 21:43

And I have one birtthday coming up on every single month!!!! :( None of them mine!! :(

neveradullmoment99 · 13/01/2019 21:44

That's every single month right up until July!!! The only two months I don't have are August and October!!!

CrazyCrunk · 14/01/2019 07:12

Wow the marina skirts are going for a lot on eBay. They must be really good on.

I bought a Felix dress yesterday Blush who has one already? It's going to snow soon so I thought I could wear it every day then.
