Oooh Laska love your buys the toast jumper looks especially good on you, suits your colouring yy the boots are fab.

NotAnActualSheep · 05/01/2019 14:55

bug and Laska - I looooove all your photos there! bug's jacket looks great and really useful, and as others have said, the lightening jumper and skirt are really cool. I know what you mean about the solitaire dress...it is lovely and drapey, but yy long (and generally huge!). I also tried the layered dress...and sort of liked it from the front, but then couldn't get a photo that didn't make me look lumpy, so back it went!! The fabric seemed oddly thin imo.

Laska- the Oslo skirt looks brilliant on you...esp with the funky boots! You have amazing legs Envy! And that jumper EnvyXmas EnvyEnvyGrin. Excellent buys, and make up for yesterday's rapid turnaround...

My toast jumper came today, and it is brilliant. Unfortunately. Not as striking as yours, but lovely subtle colours and a nice shape for higher waisted trousers/ skirts as it's shortish. And beautiful, beautiful soft thick wool. It was reduced further after I bought it..typically...so I'm going to cancel this order, send back and reorder. Even if it costs a fiver to send back, I'll still "save" £10, as they refund postage from the cancelled order. I'm also sending back a boden order (apart from the leopard trainers which are actually lovely for £40). Otherwise there were jeans, a necklace and a couple of jersey tops which were all OK, but nothing amazing (and I'd only have kept cos they were cheap..)...so back they go. I can do this returning lark...

Liveinthepresent · 05/01/2019 15:36

Another one with a sale parcel today woo hoo!

Not tried on here yet as we are busy taking decorations down but it all
Looks very promising especially lightning bolt jumper and the ever so expensive even in the sale snake print scarf.

Will try on later.

From my last 20% parcel I am only keeping the Leopard cashmere scarf which will go to my friend.
Solitaire midi - agree with Hlbug was a disaster made me feel terrible about myself. Almost reassured it didn’t work on someone so slim compared to me !
Love your pics - hope lightning bolt looks good on me.

Utah loved both your outfits in photos
Laska wish I had legs like yours love your pics too - Toast jumper my favourite

SoyYo · 05/01/2019 16:03

@bug good call and the boots are really really beautiful
@laska yes I’m keeping the Lola scarf too (arrived today) it’s such a good price and I haven’t got any that would pick the colour on my huge number of navy tops so itll be really useful AND warm
@not sooo pleased your Toast jumper is a keeper!
@Live ditto for your latest

Right I’ve taken some pics I’m shocked at how fat I’ve got lately and that anything fits quite frankly...so please be gentle.
🙏

SoyYo · 05/01/2019 16:11

First the bad news
Both shirts are going back. Much as I like them they really don’t like me..
The kakhi is huge and the starry one lovely as it is just hangs from my boobs making me looking even fatter than I am.
I do recommend if you’re not an FF cup that you try as they’re both really lovely fabrics
However the Florence skirt was a nice surprise, thanks to ella for reminding me as I’d returned last year but I sized up to a 14 Blush and it fits comfortably and will possibly be too large once I lose all the spare tyre but even DH said he liked on me as it was so “unusual”
Wearing with the boatneck black cashmere jumper which is so lovely and soft it was really another sale bargain and keeping

Ah yes in above post wearing the kakhi shirt with camo skinnies and starry shirt with grey leather leggings (not returning those!Wink)

And now the cashmere jumper with the check trousers, one with the jumper down and one with jumper scrunched up so you can see the check trousers shape better. I hope you like as I think they’re keepers (but may be deluded)

I forgot the zebra joggers in S much much better than the M and will be great for homeworking days (warm brushed fluffy cotton inside)

I need a moment to toot my horn :). I have just completed 10k. Ok, it took me 89 minutes but I’m still feeling pretty chuffed with myself. My surgeon joked that when I ran a 10k I should send him a selfie for his wall of fame, so I just have :). He says it made his week. It is The Best Feeling EVER. Now, let’s talk stylish running clothes...;)

Awww thanks for the nice compliments .. I always think I have big knees and calves ! It could be trick photography!! ( funny how we pick holes in ourselves..). DM had really great legs .. I carry my weight up top though, and if I dont keep a track on it am a proper apple.

Soy the Florence looks great on you , its a great bargain at £30 and so sheep-like (baaaaa) I have just ordered it , (id forgotten it also and I have that jumper ) have also sized up to 14 to accommodate tum (my wine baby) .. Do your remember that Ella styled it with the ruched part on the side? That looked good also

You also have great legs.. are those the grey leather leggings?
(tempted but only if there is another 20%) ..

But yes, sadly those shirts swamp you.. I didnt order the khaki as I already have one similar ..

waves at Len good on you for keeping your card in your purse yesterday

Laska2Meryls · 05/01/2019 16:40

Ah just seen your update . love the check trousers on you and zebra joggers you dont need any joggers Laska

cherries that's so fab, I couldn't run for a bus... I must get out fast walking more ..

SoyYo · 05/01/2019 16:45

@cherries go you!!! I need some of your will power. If you could bottle and sell it you’d make a fortune

@laska Thanks (was beginning to think everything looks so crap no one wanted to be first to tell me) yes they’re the grey leather leggings in 12 I got with 20% off actually the waist is already getting bigger so I do hope they don’t stretch too much...@never and moi will keep you all posted so if you decide to invest in the next discount round you’ll know for sure.
Oooh good idea on the Florence skirt I’ll try that. Yes it’s deffo worth it at £30 soo unusual and I’d rather it was a bit shorter on me but at 5’3” it’s still a nice just below knee length

SoyYo · 05/01/2019 16:48

Packing those shirts as I type...my bank account will be happier as I’ve ended up keeping lots:
Constellation and Lola scarf
Florence skirt
Boatneck cashmere
Check trousers
Zebra joggers
AND the ruinous leather leggings with the 20% discount...
Enough damage done NOT buying anymore till next month (being my birthday I’m bound to treat myself in Feb Wink)

ilovecherries · 05/01/2019 17:04

Soy, laska, bug you all look lovely in your new stuff. In a flush of celebratory energy, I have recorded Florence in a 14. Said I wasn’t reordering till my refunds were through but decided it would be a nice skirt for my holiday as it would go well with the boatneck cashmere and thick tights.

OP posts:
NotAnActualSheep · 05/01/2019 17:04

Oh soy - those checked trousers look amazing! They really suit you. They work really well styled like you have, with the black cashmere and love your shoes too! The Florence skirt looks great too. Is the fabric like the snake marina, but green ?? still not buying it Actually, it is similar to the leopard green draped skirt (but cheaper!). Going against the grain, but I actually think the shirts look really good. Especially the enormous green one. Yes, it's enormous, but it looks as if it drapes really nicely, and worn like a jacket/ cape as you are in the photo, it looks like you could swoosh around nicely. And the starry one also looks great with the gorgeous leggings. But I suppose you can't keep everything!!

cherries that's absolutely brilliant! Well done! I know nothing about timing, but that sounds about 2 hours faster than I would do it...(mainly cos I would need to stop in a tea shop halfway) can running clothes be stylish?? Grin

ilovecherries · 05/01/2019 17:07

It’s my birthday in Feb as well, Soy. I’m stalking the site for the leather leggings coming in in a 10 but no luck so far.

It’s slow, not, my DH hovers round 40 mins now but he’s ‘good for his age’ and has always been a runner. Whereas three years ago this week I was just starting intensive rehab after surgery on my leg, sporting a morphine patch, could see 17 stone on the not-so-distant horizon, and hasn’t run for probably 40 years. Today seemed like an impossible dream, and it’s the first time I’ve managed it. I’m as high as a kite I’m so delighted with myself. Grin.

What size is your Toast jumper Laska? And does it itch?

OP posts:
SoyYo · 05/01/2019 17:27

@cherries you totally totally deserve the Florence so I’m glad you and laska have ordered we’re similar body shapes so it’s a great buy.
Dear not you are too kind and thank you for the lovely comment on the check trousers and you did make me laugh with the kakhi shirt cape Grin it’s going back as much as I’d like to swoosh in batgirl style I’ve done enough Wallet damage and I’ll feel slightly less guilty if I return a couple of things

Where are you off on hols cherries?
Are you a Piscis or an Aquarian like me?

SoyYo · 05/01/2019 17:28

Oh yes on the Florence snake fabric it is similar to the Marina fabric not sure if 100% the same but it’s a lovely green snake print and you can’t see it in pics but has tiny bits of gold pattern mixed with the black print on the deep green background

dontcallmelen · 05/01/2019 17:31

Cherries awesome so happy for you what an achievement after all you have been through👋
Soy you are definitely not deluded, the trousers jumper combo is very flattering & really suits you, the shirt does look a bit swampy I think maybe need to be a bit taller to pull of the drapey look.
Not that toast jumper is really good, I like the colours as well I reckon be very useful.
Laska yy I sometimes think we have been conditioned it to feel happy with ourselves, for me it’s my height which is really daft as nothing I can do about it.

Laska2Meryls · 05/01/2019 17:31

cherries its a S/M (never has the same ) . It doesnt seem to itch but it is more of a Shetland wool than a cashmere so rougher.. you do need to wear a T under it I think..

As Not says if you return they do refund the original postage, but you have to pay for returns..

Ive decided ( even though I know it doesn't make financial sense... ) to keep mine , but its now on offer for £15 less than I paid ..

dontcallmelen · 05/01/2019 17:32

Missed out a NOT in my post duh.

Laska2Meryls · 05/01/2019 17:34

... I can see me up in the Far North , wearing it on a campervan trip.. cherries Wink

ilovecherries · 05/01/2019 17:34

I’m an Aquarian, soy. We are going to a fancy highland lodge for a week, really looking forward to it. Sadly not allowed pets as the dog would love it, but we will basically make a short detour round by our house, leave the dog with DD and carry on. Plan is lots of walking, reading, and lazing around the spa.
