Well Hush parcel came and quite frankly pretty much a disappointment. Was delivered 2.15 and back in the post office by 2.50

Fast work laska!

twosoups1972 · 04/01/2019 17:53

My Hush parcel is on its way but I was in JL today and had a quick browse in the Hush concession. They had the Drew dress I've ordered but I didn't like the print at all - lots of H's in cubes, looks like a uniform for Hush! I suspect it will be going straight back unfortunately.

SoyYo · 04/01/2019 18:42

Well I wish my haul was unsuccessful because I’ll be bankrupt soon...just tried the check trousers and they are PERFECT.
Check not clownish at all. Tick
Fabric quality - lightweight but warm
Style - straight and flattering come just a little above ankle on me but imagine may be a little too cropped if you’re very tall
They’ll be super useful and lovely with the black boatneck cashmere for my next work trip in Paris.

Huffthepuff · 04/01/2019 19:03

Ooh look forward to seeing pics tomorrow Soy!

Gutted for you Ella. You've waited so long! The vegan ones sound like a good idea

Ellapaella · 04/01/2019 19:20

Oh my goodness laska your dinner sounds delicious!
@SoyYo do you have a link to trousers? X

Ellapaella · 04/01/2019 19:21

Oops! Sorry! Gave you a X there - had literally just been in middle of texting!

SoyYo · 04/01/2019 19:27

Thanks huff and ella
Here are the check trousers definitely better in RL than on model which is strange as it’s usually the other way round. There’s plenty of stock so they may reduce them further and considering I’m very fat and the 12 fit me fine I reckon you could try an 8 if the 10 go ooo

SoyYo · 04/01/2019 19:27

I’ll take photos tomorrow

dontcallmelen · 04/01/2019 19:28

Crikey, you have all been extremely chatty, some lovely pics & some very quick virtuous sending back.
Ella & Never I thought of you both today was in the dm shop & Cheney’s shame about your boots Ella.
Show was lovely dgd throughly enjoyed it & was beautifully behaved.
We ate in Pasta Brown, which was yummy & most important of all I did not succumb my card stayed in my purse.
Huff glad that Ds was happy when you dropped him off.
Laska a tough day enjoy your curry💐

miffy2 · 04/01/2019 19:29

Today I am wearing my Oslo skirt (form at least a year ago!) with my new AllSaints black cashmere split roll neck jumper (it's called Witby but no longer on the site). I think I shall be all posh and decide I will only wear cashmere from now on...it is so soft and non-irritating.

Anyway I wore the above with MV biker boots and Hush opaques. Will probably wear it again on Sunday. We have friends over tomorrow so with cooking and entertaining I don't think I could get away with a heavy jumper.

My sale order has shipped, and I paid to have it sent direct so it should be quicker than using the forwarding service.

dontcallmelen · 04/01/2019 19:48

Today I wore, fairly old grey Topshop jeans my new lipstick pink cashmere jumper from boden & dark brown knee high boots.

Ellapaella · 04/01/2019 19:57

@miffy2 love the sound of that outfit!
Do you recommend the Oslo skirt? I think I'm going to have to order a 12 and see if I can get away with it - maybe if a little big I could get adjusted?

Len sounds like a lovely day, and well done for not spending!

ilovecherries · 04/01/2019 19:59

That’s a shame about the DMs, Ella

Not, both are nic, and I’ve had some good work dresses from Sosander, but I really love the Hush one on you.

Laska, I’m most perturbed to realise that the reason the legging were so big on me is that they are huge, and I will hand back my skinnyminny badge Grin Grin. My parcel had a huge range of size 12s - leggings that fell down, Meg skirt that would barely go past my hips, khaki shirt that I could have held a party in, skinny jeans that wouldn’t pull up.

My waist is the fattest part of me for sure (boobs aside). I just cannot get it down to anything like half my height. The absolute maximum it should be is 33.5 and it’s a good couple of inches more than that - even with lots of exercise, cardio, and bloody weightloss. Most frustrating.

Sorry, wasn’t Meg, it was Florence that old time go on. Plus I ordered a red Felix in a medium which was far too short.

ilovecherries · 04/01/2019 20:00

Old time go on???? Ffs. Wouldn’t pull up!

ilovecherries · 04/01/2019 20:02

Today I wore Hush boyfriend jeans (not the star ones, a darker wash I got from BA), a candy pink cashmere crew neck from M&S, black ankle boots.

ilovecherries · 04/01/2019 20:03

miffy, I almost wish I hadn’t discovered Cashmere, it’s about the only knitwear I like now.

dontcallmelen · 04/01/2019 20:18

Don’t know if it’s anyone’s thing but Topshop have a asymmetrical leather skirt in mint down from £150 to £45 sizes 8&10 left on the website.
cherries that’s what drives me mad with clothes, the madness of the sizing variations old gimmer alert, but looks backs fondly when sizes seemed much more standardised.

UtahGirl12 · 04/01/2019 20:18

If someone can tell me how to post photos I can show you my Marina skirt on me, which I wore yesterday!

dontcallmelen · 04/01/2019 20:25

Cherries thank you was a lovely day, dgd so enjoyed it as it’s her very favourite book at the moment.
Utah I’m no expert, but if go just below where you write posts, little boxes that’s says choose file click on then add photo & your written msg then press post message.

SoyYo · 04/01/2019 20:26

@utah the paper clip icon (see pic) if you click on it you can attach pics.

Loving reading about all your outfits today (note to self must try harder)
@cherries I also struggle with my middle and swear pilates helps at least it’s a firm fat tummy...I think sadly it’s our post menopause body shape Sad

Ooh I’ve got my Spanish language keyboard on my iPhone atm no wonder bloody thing keeps autocorrecting...doesn’t understand what an ñ is Grin

miffy2 · 04/01/2019 21:34

@Ella when you see the Oslo skirt in person it looks like it will fit a 6 year old, no kidding. It’s about 10” wide! But it’s fully elasticated so will fit pretty much any size. I checked mine and it’s a 12. It’s quite short so like I said before I pull it down on the hips and make sure I wear a long top. I love it. It’s a bit girly without being OTT.

UtahGirl12 · 04/01/2019 23:29

Thanks soy. I wore my Marina snakeskin yesterday for the first time when my husband and I had a night away. I styled it simply with a black v neck jumper, grey biker jacket and scarf and long black boots. I love the skirt. So easy and comfy to wear and I love the fact it has pockets.

The other photo is my dress today. It’s a Holly Willoghby M & S one, again with pockets. Will look better when I lose some weight! Unfortunately it doesn’t make me look like Hottie Holly! Grin

@UtahGirl12 love how you've styled the marina skirt.
Also really like that M&S dress, is it a recent purchase?
