SotE is Sahara Noir. I strictly ration this - so a special treat. I love the churchy heat. The PP offering is very thin and pallid side by side.

SOTD Kiehl’s Musk. Quite a bit of snow here. Do not want.

SOTD Nomade. In London with DH and boys doing touristy things. SOTE Black Tulip - love this but longevity not great - plums and white chocolate.

Oh God Kalifornia , it might have been Coeur au Jardin. Will go and check...

SOTD Sexiest Scent. Housework to be tackled this afternoon. I’d much rather curl up in front of the fire with a good book 😬

Ds1 up most of night (so obv I was too) with a virus.

Yoga done.

Breakfast made, flapjacks baked, dinner in oven and not much else planned today.

I smell amazing though :)

My Les Senteurs samples have arrived! Le Maroc pour Elle and PHI Une Rose de Kandehar seemed the most interesting/suited to the season so put those straight on. LMPE is completely overpowering PHI though so I'm about to have a bath to reset and will try again with PHI afterwards.

I'm not sure if LMPE is for me at the moment, I'm finding it interesting but not sure I actually like it! It's very reminiscent of certain shops in Afflecks Palace, all patchouli/incense and teenagers trying to be grown ups. The drydown might just pull it back though, it's becoming much more powdery and the rose and amber are coming out more. I'm getting a decent belt of jasmine in there too, as well as a touch of vanilla and something woodsy (sandalwood, maybe). It's definitely a different beast to any other perfumes I own!

Georgian, I didn't 'get' le Maroc at all, which is odd because I am a total AT fangirl. There was something just a bit 'off' about it and I ended up giving my sample away to an MN perfumista.

Which are your favourite Tauers Fennel? I do feel like I'm possibly not exotic/worldly enough to pull off le Maroc, and it feels a little try-hard on me. PHI is starting off much more promisingly though, now I can actually smell it!

Liking it a lot, although maybe a bit soapy on me.

I used to love the ambiance of Afflecks palace as a teenager. It was the scent of excitement. We used to buy ex-army jackets and smelly Afghans perfumed with Patchouli and go to the Umist heavy metal disco on a Saturday night.

My favourite Tauer is Carillon Pour Ange and Sotd is Clinique Wrappings.

I went out with a lad who was at Umist....sigh. happy days.

I have AT LADDM, IE and ACDD.

I love them all.

Me too teta, many a Saturday afternoon was spent in there, deliberating over which shade of Spectacular nail varnish to buy in Rowfers! I wasn't cool enough to pull off any of the clothes, or indeed about 95% of anything sold there but I loved it all the same! It sounds like you were one of the effortlessly cool people I envied so hard!

Carillon is one of the other samples I got so will try that tomorrow probably.

I love LADDM, obviously. Because I have a working olfactory mechanism and a beating heart and, therefore, I love it. Whenever I wear it I just think, meh, why both with anything else, ever?

However I possibly slightly love Au Coeur de Desert a little bit more. Possibly. It's a close-run thing.

Une Rose Chypree is also a thing of divine beauty. I'm reasonably sure it'll be the scent I wear when I get married next year.

I also love Patch Flash, and Reverie au Jardin, and Lonestar Memories.

PHI I like, but don't love. Vanilla Flash I like a lot and sometimes love but for me there are better indulgent vanillas out there.

Have just noticed that the Tauer site has Les Annees 25 as a miniature...for 25 swiss francs...squeeee
