Everyone!

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 25/12/2018 07:14

Just seen the BBC news. The spectators are already at Sandringham!
One woman drove from Shropshire and got there are 4.30am.
(I need to get my zzzs! DS at his dad’s! ) catch up with the church walk later!

Clionba · 25/12/2018 07:23

Good morning from Yorkshire! Merry Christmas to all our sartorialist friends, here and abroad! It's just above freezing, so I hope they're wrapped up at Sandringham.
The Queen's Speech photo - interesting.
Changes afoot, times moving on, a new Royal family. HM is definitely signalling the transition. What a dignified lady, acknowledging that her reign is in it's final years.
I'd be clutching the Crown and shouting mine, Precious!

Merry Christmas! Peace and love

user1457017537 · 25/12/2018 07:27

Thomas Markle Snr has been handing out presents and food to a woman’s refuge and children in the camp.

ElspethFlashman · 25/12/2018 07:31

Morning all, fuck me I'm shattered. Both kids woke about 10 times last night from 8pm onwards with anxiety about Santa. The 4 Yr old was genuinely worried Santa wouldn't think he had been good enough. I ended up sleeping (though no sleep was had) all night in a single bed with the 2 Yr old and my shoulder is frozen this morning.

Hope to god they settle now that Santa has been.

It gets easier as they get older, right??!!! 😟😟😟

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 25/12/2018 07:33

Me too! Not to mention stashing the Tiaras!

That’s a really nice thing Thomas Markle is doing. Good on him!

Clionba · 25/12/2018 07:33

It does, Elspeth - when they're teens you can't get them out of bed even when lunch is on the table.... Have fun! Xmas Smile

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 25/12/2018 07:53

It’s Princess Alexandra’s Birtday today. Born in 1936.

Clionba · 25/12/2018 07:55

I was just about to post the same, Curly! 82 and looking good.

frugalkitty · 25/12/2018 08:21

Merry Christmas everyone!!! Xmas Smile

Becles · 25/12/2018 08:33

Merry Christmas to all my companions on this unashamedly frivolous and lovely thread! Xmas Grin

Moononthehill28 · 25/12/2018 08:59

Happy Christmas everyone!!
Looking forward to the Sandringham photos!
Why on earth is TM spending Christmas alone? He has another daughter and son. Very strange. Good for him to be handing out parcels in a refuge, but it does smack of attention seeking again.

This thread has elevated my mild interest in the Royals to a bit of a preoccupation!!

Clionba · 25/12/2018 09:05

At least TM is doing something good and useful, giving gifts to children in refugee centres.

ElspethFlashman · 25/12/2018 09:15

Alexandra is a damn fine lookin' woman, I have to say.

QueenOfTheAndals · 25/12/2018 09:17

Apparently the DoE once thought so too @ElspethFlashman Wink

Merry Christmas to all of you royal sartorialists, I'll be taking a sneaky break from cooking to check out Sandringham shots!

Merry Christmas to you all! Looking forward to catching up on the Sandringham photos later today.

Meanwhile I've made an attempt to channel the DoC today, wearing a long tartan skirt in navy and grey (vintage Laura Ashley) and a navy Brora sweater!

ElspethFlashman · 25/12/2018 09:25

Omg ShockShockShock

Spudlet · 25/12/2018 09:27

Merry Christmas all! I've been up dealing with a puking spaniel in the night after the stupid bugger ate rotten windfall apples 🤦‍♀️ Will have to catch up on the outfits later xxx

AhoyDelBoy · 25/12/2018 09:40

Oh Elspeth that sounds tough! Some tired and overwrought DC as the day progresses too no doubt. Hope it’s a nice day for you anyway Xmas Smile I’m looking forward to next year when my DD is 2 and understands a bit more but maybe this age is a blessing in disguise!

I’ve not been feeling particularly festive today as it’s my DDads 10 year anniversary. He died Christmas Day 2008 and it has hit me in different ways over the years.

All that aside, I can’t wait for the Royal families walk to church Xmas Smile. Hopefully we will see Kate and Meghan ‘hit back’ at the rumours by walking along chatting away.

Wishing everyone a great Christmas Day Xmas SmileWineFlowers

it does smack of attention seeking again

Agreed!

Gooseysgirl · 25/12/2018 09:46

Hmmmm... for someone who supposedly enjoyed living a reclusive life, TM is jumping on any media opportunities at the moment 🤨

katekat383 · 25/12/2018 09:55

Rhubarbisevil

Not being funny, love, but if you’re from that type of family then you’d know them and not have to look them up on Instagram.

Quite.

AhoyDelBoy · 25/12/2018 10:17

Damn I’d missed a chunk of the thread 🤦🏼‍♀️
