What are you wearing Christmas day?

Light hearted and nosy.

I imagine most people will just be wearing pajamas Xmas Grin

I'm going to wear a tescos Christmas jumper with denim midi skirt (not as awful as it sounds), black tights and slipper/uggs. And some sort of tinsel scarf.

Anyone else?

Sorry if it's been done. I had a little look but didn't see this thread yet!

Pyjamas! Well, I would stay in PJs all day if I didn’t have to go and visit family. So lazy, comfy clothes for me.

Pregnant, so I can wear what I want Grin

overitalready · 17/12/2018 15:32

Im yet to decide - were at home this year so i want to be comfortable and elasticated but we have 8 people over so i feel i should actually get dressed this year

Blondielongie · 17/12/2018 15:33

Oh I've been (heavily) pregnant over Christmas. Sitting on someone else's lumpy sofa for hours without any wine or cheese. Hope you enjoy!!

I'm at my sister's, so will need to get dressed.
Probably an oxblood leather skirt with chunky cable knit grey cardigan and black top, black tights and boots (changing to slippers when I get there).
Option B is coated jeans, navy blue shirt with star print and the aforementioned grey cardi. That outfit is more dog-proof so may win.

Bluesheep8 · 17/12/2018 17:16

Jeans and a jumper. And a big smile! Helping out at a community centre serving lunch to people who are alone on Christmas day.

DoingMyBest2010 · 17/12/2018 17:19

anything to slob in

mostlydrinkstea · 17/12/2018 17:22

Clerical shirt and Christmas jumper for morning services then unicorn onesie for the rest of the day.

karala · 17/12/2018 17:24

well that was a bit long winded Hmm

AppleKatie · 17/12/2018 17:25

Swap those two round no one will mind.

I’ve ordered what looks like a lovely slobby comfy red dress with pockets. If it arrives on time and fits that. And slippers.

kenandbarbie · 17/12/2018 17:27

I'll be 8 1/2 months pregnant. I'm going to wear a red jumper dress and black tights.

Luckily consultant said I should have a glass of wine over Christmas so I will be doing that too.

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 17/12/2018 17:33

EchoJuliet · 17/12/2018 17:37

A simple black velvet midi dress with shoe boots and gold statement jewellery

ritzbiscuits · 17/12/2018 17:40

Christmas jumper and jeans here!

YerAuntFanny · 17/12/2018 17:42

I've no idea.

If I want to dress up it'll be a royal blue/black Wallis tunic dress thing with black tights.

If I can't be bothered then it'll be jeggings and a top of some sort I imagine.

MrsWOLF1 · 17/12/2018 17:45

Philomensapie · 17/12/2018 17:46

Pyjamas. Xmas Grin

CaptainCallisto · 17/12/2018 17:49

Probably black leggings and a Christmas elf jumper dress, with my jingly elf slippers. (I'm so classy Grin)

I expect the slippers will have to come off shortly after my parents arrive though, as I think the bells will play havoc with my dad's hearing aids...

mimibunz · 17/12/2018 17:52

Another Christmas jumper and jeans! Will be at SIL’s so will take a pair of fuzzy socks for after dinner.

ritzbiscuits · 17/12/2018 17:56

Christmas jumper and jeans here!

WaterlooElephant · 17/12/2018 17:58

Trackies, probably.

Someone I know used to be married to a woman whose male family members had to wear a shirt and tie on Christmas Day! Confused The women wore cocktail dresses!

AppleKatie · 17/12/2018 18:01

We don’t go quite that far here but ‘a dress’ and a collared shirt for the men is the unofficial unspoken dress code. I think it’s about making the day feel special. That and the fact my dad wears a collared shirt at all times even to the beach 😂

MerryBear · 17/12/2018 18:02

Red Henley dress and black suede boots.

evilharpy · 17/12/2018 18:13

Probably black jeans and gold sequinned jumper from Monsoon. It’s only me, husband and 4yo.
