What are you wearing Christmas day?

Light hearted and nosy.

I imagine most people will just be wearing pajamas Xmas Grin

I'm going to wear a tescos Christmas jumper with denim midi skirt (not as awful as it sounds), black tights and slipper/uggs. And some sort of tinsel scarf.

Anyone else?

Bought for a family event a couple of months ago (not at half price [bawl], but they sold out of my size very very quickly at full price), and have worn it to another Xmas function already - will now be my Xmas Day dress for the next few years Grin

This Laura Ashley dress. It's lovely, but I can only really wear it between late November and February because it's snowflake-patterned.

I'll wear it with black tights, slippers and a Christmas apron for most of the day!

@AppleKatie I like the sound of that dress!! Have you got a link???

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 18/12/2018 16:43

Wide legged jumpsuit with a sparky silver pinstripe with black ballet slippers and, yes, probably an apron for a good slice of the morning. I'll accessorise with statement earrings and a glass of fizz

KateAdiesEarrings · 18/12/2018 21:45

I'm looking for inspiration. We always go out for Christmas. Usually, by now, I know what I'm going to be wearing but I haven't a clue this year.

DontCallMeCharlotte · 18/12/2018 23:15

Uniqlo black velvet leggings and a navy floaty shirt with sparkly bits and a pinny as I'll be cooking. I want to wear this dress but think it will be too hot. Boo.

Me and DD5 have matching swing dresses - and I don't care, she loves it!!

Ariela · 19/12/2018 00:21

I'll be wearing exactly the same as any other day. Jeans, a top/Tshirt/rugby shirt and jumper.

Starbitcrazy · 19/12/2018 02:35

I've ordered several dresses but hate them all ☹️. For the first time in years, I feel a bit Christmassy and would like to dress for the occasion but no luck yet. Waiting on one more delivery and if that's a dud, I'm just going to the in-laws in my jammies lol. I don't think they would actually mind!

Elledorado · 19/12/2018 10:21

Fuschia silk/satin shirt blouse type thing and olive-coloured tube skirt, with wedges. Forecast says 29 deg and mostly sunny Grin

ShalomJackie · 19/12/2018 10:38

Swimsuit and kaftan thing! Currently in Thailand and will still be on Christmas day.

MinesaPinot · 19/12/2018 13:48

There's only me and DH on Christmas Day, and it will depend what we're doing. If we're just indoors all day it will be comfy jeggins and a glittery t-shirt. If we decide to walk up our local and have a pint once I've put dinner in, then it will be jeans and a nice jumper. Judging by the indiscreet slip made by my boss at our Christmas lunch, when she'd had more than a glass or two, I suspect hope my present from her may be the Hush red jumper with leopard print star. If that's the case, then I will pop that on to go up the pub Smile

Jackshouse · 19/12/2018 13:54

I have no idea. I will be 8 weeks pregnant (early scan showed twins) and already waist bands are tight. But it is too early to really tell people. I may dig out maternity jeans.

itssquidstella · 19/12/2018 13:58

Jeans and a leopard print jumper. May have to unbutton the jeans in anticipation of lunch, though, as they're quite tight!

MeTigger · 19/12/2018 14:05

Ooh @talisin - can you link to the dress please? I really want a long dark red velvet dress and am currently ummming and aahhing over several choices

Loyaultemelie · 19/12/2018 16:10

Joe Browns Christmas tunic and black leggings start out in knee high boots and finish up in slipper socks

goose1964 · 19/12/2018 21:01

Black skater dress with Santas all over it. I wore it out for a Christmas meal with my friends last weekend, it was so soft and comfy

RomanyRoots · 19/12/2018 21:06

either the dress I think dd has bought me from New look it's an Apricot (brand) red and grey check or a Joe brown skirt and top, or bl/white maxi dress if it's not freezing as that's quite thin.

SisterOfDonFrancisco · 19/12/2018 21:10

A dress. We'll just be at home but I still like to dress up to mark the special occasion.

Talisin · 19/12/2018 21:19

@MeTigger It was more or less this one. The colour I had was Mulberry and they don’t seem to do that any more but the wine red is close.

thedishonthecoffeetable · 19/12/2018 21:22

My gingerbread man leggings and a long Christmas jumper with flashing lights which doesn't really go but its only me and DH so who cares Grin if we go out for a walk I will put something under the jumper to keep warm so I can flash at anyone we see.

DeadButDelicious · 19/12/2018 21:31

We're going to our parents houses so will have to get dressed. I have a midnight blue velvet dress from the Beth Ditto collection at Evans that deserves a day out of the wardrobe, I'm teaming it with black tights, a black cardigan, some silver/pewter jewellery and my beloved pikes (80's goth pointy Edward scissorhands boots).
