What are you wearing Christmas day?

Light hearted and nosy.

I imagine most people will just be wearing pajamas Xmas Grin

I'm going to wear a tescos Christmas jumper with denim midi skirt (not as awful as it sounds), black tights and slipper/uggs. And some sort of tinsel scarf.

Anyone else?

A dress and slippers! Not sure which dress but nothing warm and woolly as we’re at my brother’s and their house is always roasting.

Phillipa12 · 17/12/2018 18:23

Something with an elasticated waist. 😁

ittooshallpass · 17/12/2018 18:30

Not sure yet... but couldn't do a jumper... always roasting!

BackforGood · 17/12/2018 18:33

We always put something 'a bit smarter' on, on Christmas day - sort of "going out for a meal" level, so yes, my Dad would always have worn a shirt and tie as that is what his generation considered 'smart'. I'll usually wear a dress as more room for an expanding waistline than in jeans or a skirt.

GlitterPixie · 17/12/2018 18:38

My cute new Christmas jumper from Aldi that says FA LA LA LA LA LA LLAMA Xmas Grin

HolgerLowCarbingLoser · 17/12/2018 18:38

Tasteful Christmas jumper, indigo jeans. I’m at home so I will be chilling comfortably with no shoes on, but if I were visiting I’d wear my gold glittered court shoes.

anniehm · 17/12/2018 18:41

We semi dress up, not suits or ties but trousers and shirts and jumpers for men, dresses for us females - no set rules just always have

msnowtybach · 17/12/2018 18:42

We always dress on Xmas day. The thought of bumming around in our PJ's depresses me!

LittleLlamaontheduskyroad · 17/12/2018 18:46

Loose leggings & Christmas printed tunic dress. Plus fluffy slippers because I am a style icon Grin .

karala · 17/12/2018 19:18

we always dress up for xmas too - I'm really not sure why but it just feels like something that feels right

FrazzyAndFrumpled · 17/12/2018 19:22

I do like to dress up on Christmas, but no one else in the family really does... I’d look and feel silly all dressed up with everyone else in normal attire!

BeFire · 17/12/2018 19:24

Coated pencil skirt and red (not too) cropped fluffy jumper. I have a white Rudolf t-shirt to tuck in to my skirt if it gets too warm. Pjs all day boxing day Xmas Smile

beardeddragon174 · 17/12/2018 19:26

I think a Joules Breton dress with little stars on, thick red tights and slippers/boots. And a reindeer pin in my hair!
Loving this thread.

m0therofdragons · 17/12/2018 19:29

We dress up so my Hobbs swishy skirt and a black top with my black and white irregular choice bunny shoes (slippers by the afternoon) and Dh will be in a waistcoat.

We have pj Saturday most weeks so Christmas is dress up day. Love it!

thereallifesaffy · 17/12/2018 19:36

Velvet wide legged trousers and floaty diaphanous shirt worn over best bra (menopausal so need coolness)
And slippers!

AmandaBuffamonteezi · 17/12/2018 19:44

DH and DS wear matching Christmas jumpers and I try to wear a Christmas dress that matches. This year my dress doesn't match but it's got snowmen all over it. I love being a cheesy family at Christmas Xmas GrinXmas GrinXmas Grin

ivykaty44 · 17/12/2018 19:49

Running clothing, followed by jeans and a jumper

FurryDogMother · 17/12/2018 20:00

My 'Shout Yippee, Sprouts for Tea!' T-shirt, and black leggings, plus sequinned slippers and festive 'glasses' (no glass in them) with reindeer horns. We don't do posh :)

Talisin · 17/12/2018 20:03

Long, dark red velvet dress from Amazon that was linked on here a couple of years back. I love it and haven’t had a chance to wear it since last Christmas.

MaMisled · 17/12/2018 20:09

Im cooking at home with grown up DC, DH and a few siblings so very low key but I've lost lots of weight so its a rather lovely H&M short navy and sage green dress and opaque tights for me ( and I'm keeping my calf length Clarks boots on all day.) Dress was £6 from charity shop so a bit of turkey fat on it will be ok!

This skirt, with a black jumper, black tights and ankle boots.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 17/12/2018 20:52

Primark navy leggings Nordic print ( really soft) and an old navy Christmas sweatshirt in the morning for breakfast .

Then have a nice leisurely bath or long shower and change into brocade black leggings and a black chenille jumper with stars....or my new Pogues TShirt (Fairytale of New York) if its too warm.

Need some new slippers actually ...

Titsywoo · 17/12/2018 20:53

PJs all day - no family visits on xmas day itself. It is going to be amazing!
