What are you wearing Christmas day?

Light hearted and nosy.

I imagine most people will just be wearing pajamas Xmas Grin

I'm going to wear a tescos Christmas jumper with denim midi skirt (not as awful as it sounds), black tights and slipper/uggs. And some sort of tinsel scarf.

Anyone else?

Jeans and a long tunic-style t-shirt. I'm hosting and we believe in being comfy, so no one gets 'dressed up' to come over.

egginacup · 17/12/2018 21:29

No DC this year so going out for dinner with DP and family. I’ve bought this and can’t decide to wear it loose or with a skinny belt www.oliverbonas.com/fashion/sparkle-stripe-velvet-dress-73051

halfwitpicker · 18/12/2018 01:07

Oh god I opened this and thought you were all getting glammed uo: but you're not.

Comfy clothes in the morning for the annual Picker family Christmas walk.

I'll slip into something more comfortable in the PM for dinner : probably jeans and a top. The little halfwits will be running around so nowt too glam tbh. I expect to be covered in bread sauce and snot.

Vest top, long sleeved top, woolly jumper, jeans and celts. No central heating here so it's freezing

LadyOfTheCanyon · 18/12/2018 05:48

My mums house is always kept at a temperature that is one degree below what is necessary to send you into a coma, so my Baukjen ruched skirt and a T-shirt probably, with a pair of IC shoes as a conversation starter.

hammeringinmyhead · 18/12/2018 06:25

Hush honeycomb pattern PJs. Clean on after a hot shower though! It's just me, DH and our 7 week old DS. I've missed my normal PJs while pregnant.

NotyourMummynotyourmilk · 18/12/2018 06:37

Away in a posh hotel this year so I will have to get dressed and brush my teeth (which is probably a first for many years.) I have a glittery dress and posh footwear instead of doc martens so my DH will get a big surprise I think.

Mokepon · 18/12/2018 06:40

Gold/black sparkly jeans. They are very soft and stretchy so I'll be comfy pigging out.
A Home Alone Christmas t-shirt or a vest top as I'll be either running around with the kids/cooking/eating, all a little bit flushed due to a glass of fizz!

LunaTheCat · 18/12/2018 06:42

Forecast here is good - swimmers for morning swim at beach then slouchy cotton dress and birkies for lunch.

Monstamio · 18/12/2018 09:33

Joules midnight blue velvet dress. It's very simple so normally requires sky high glittery court shoes but I'll be wearing it with slippers! Kids will be in matching red dresses.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 18/12/2018 10:35

Sequinned gold tube skirt (elastic waist!), black cashmere polo neck, black opaques, black Stan Smiths. No-one will be dressed up, but I like the high/low mix of sequins and trainers. As soon as we get home it will be pjs and Uggs.

CorrigansDoorKnob · 18/12/2018 10:38

It’s going to be hot here, so bathers and a rashie for the brekkie bbq and swim at the beach. I might put on a light dress for the rest of the day. I’m growing to love Xmas Down Under.

greeneyedlulu · 18/12/2018 10:39

A very cheesy Xmas dress! Since my son was born I've made it a tradition for us to be cheesy at Xmas because he likes it. So everyone is in Xmas jumpers and I'm in my Xmas dress with a silly headband! We love it and more importantly my son does!

canibehereifimnotamum · 18/12/2018 10:39

I'm wearing an off the shoulder super fluffy black jumper and black jeans. Useally go for tights but I'll just undo a button on the jeans 😋

DonaldDucksTowel · 18/12/2018 10:41

I haven’t actually even thought about it yet ... 🤔

Ohyesiam · 18/12/2018 10:43

Wool dress from
Hush and black cashmere cardigan as th family we wil be with on Christmas Day keep their house FREEZING. Might look to a slip and black wool tights tooSmile.
I have a great dress for Boxing Day, also from hush , it manages to be elegant and yet very baggy.
I think of it as my more trifle please dress.

HundredMilesAnHour · 18/12/2018 10:46

Pyjamas???! Absolutely not.

I'll be wearing my wide legged, slightly cropped, black plisse trousers with either an Orwell & Austen cashmere jumper or my Burberry cashmere jumper dress (love this dress so much, it looks great!) and either Paul Smith leather trainers or Yuul Yie patent boots. All very practical but looks nice too. Only jewelley will be statement earrings (probably Rejina Pyo as she's my current favourite).

Thesnobbymiddleclassone · 18/12/2018 10:48

We're off to my mums and I'll be 31 weeks with DD (age 5) running around.

I've got normal clothes for the day but my stretchy, comfy PJs for once dinner is done!

SimplyPut · 18/12/2018 10:49

I picked this up in Wallis sale at the weekend. Festive, room for post dinner expansion and on sale... it ticked all the boxes Xmas Grin

What are you wearing Christmas day?
CherryBlossom23 · 18/12/2018 10:50

I'm probably going to wear my black denim skirt with a nice jumper and new Kurt Geiger boots and some jewellery. I normally don't make too much of an effort on Christmas because we just potter about at home but my darling mum passed away last month and she always dressed impeccably for every occasion so I'm doing it in her honour this year. I can still try to look cheerful on the outside, which is what she would want.

BarbedBloom · 18/12/2018 11:57

Just me and DH this year so have a Santa dress. Totally silly but it will make him laugh.

Barabajagal · 18/12/2018 12:07

This with ribbed black tights for dinner. Salopettes and thermals in the morning (we’re at Les Arcs).

I’m most excited about the lack of cooking/washing up! Grin
