Continued Xmas Grin

OP posts:

I'm not keen on the eyeliner, it drags on my skin and I don't do tightlining. Normally I use either No 7 powder liner or a fine felt tip one dotted between the lash roots, I don't like a bold line.

I gave the P and R hair treatment to DD (I won't use silicone based products in my curls but she has waist length straight hair which is a bit trashed by chlorine). She put it on Sunday night and washed it off yesterday morning, her hair felt horrendous after washing, like straw, so she wet plaited it for the day and undid it last night, when it had transformed into silkiness. She hated the smell of it though.

panicovernow · 18/12/2018 07:22

Bit disappointed if I'm honest. It's all become samey. I'm hoping that the last few days improve

Sparkletastic · 18/12/2018 07:30

This Sleep Cream is absolutely brilliant stuff. Very pleased.

Almostthere15 · 18/12/2018 07:32

I think the size of this one is a little stingy given it's their own product. It's bound to feel a little samey and I get make up is risky but the last couple of days have been a bit meh. Let's hope it picks back up!

ihatethecold · 18/12/2018 07:35

Love the sleep cream and have repeat bought this.
Aldi do one which I’m currently using.

ChangoMutney · 18/12/2018 07:37

It’s getting too repetitive now, this is the third thing that is similar to an earlier product. There are still items we haven’t seen yet.

FlipFlapBat · 18/12/2018 07:37

Have no strong feelings about today’s - useful enough.

I did try the pencil this morning and really liked it! I’ll see how it stays on though.

The nail varnish is a horror for chipping. I love the colour but it only lasts an evening. It’s not a brand I normally buy and probably won’t even though I adore the colour.

HollyHocks13 · 18/12/2018 07:38

I will use this but disappointed to have another double. I was hoping for something new today.

FlipFlapBat · 18/12/2018 07:39

Oh and after hating the lip gloss I quite like it. It’s pigment is very weak so it’s more of a tinted balm, it conditions my lips without really showing any colour and the sticky feeling goes very quickly.

Writersblock2 · 18/12/2018 07:43

I like the eyeliner - used it today (use a thin pencil and eyeshadow for tightlining so I don’t think I’ll use it for that).

Looking forward to trying the sleep cream. God knows I could use it!

Rewinding: I’m surprised by how much I like the lipgloss. Looks way nicer on the lips than in the tube. I also had a litre of Elasticizer delivered yesterday. This is going to last me forever. Grin

Writersblock2 · 18/12/2018 07:44

*brush not pencil

Atalune · 18/12/2018 07:50

I haven’t tried the lip gloss as the colour looked a bit metallic in the tube which I don’t like. I was going to Gift it to my friend instead.

The 8 hour cream I was hoping for, so am pleased! I love it and after a BIG night I find if I really slather this on i don’t look quite so hideous the next day. Grin

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 18/12/2018 08:12

And another night cream. I'll use it, but would prefer some variety (handcream, day moisturiser, make up )

Ditto. I will use this but I haven't been the slightest bit excited by anything for a few days now!

HumberElla · 18/12/2018 08:15

Night cream looks interesting but not exciting really. But I’ve worn the eyeliner and lip tint lots this week

MysweetAudrina · 18/12/2018 08:24

I had a feeling there would be some disappointment on the thread this morning. I am delighted to get another night cream. As I said up thread I am not a make up person but I like anything that will make my skin look a bit brighter and the eye creams and face creams at least proclaim to do this.

I don't like when they put small products in the big boxes though. I kind of expect the product to match the size of the box.

I am going to be so disappointed when I don't have a present to open each morning so going to really savour the last week :)

MeetOnTheSIedge · 18/12/2018 08:35

I think on the whole I'm happy, I'd really rather choose my own make-up (I never use eye pencil or lipgloss and am not likely to start doing, so far I have tried each once whereas I have persisted with the skincare). Also I already have lots of make-up.

GinIsIn · 18/12/2018 08:40

I’m very late to the calendar thread party! This is my 4th year of the M&S calendar and this year’s is the first one ever where there’s not been a single thing I’ve thought about buying again. Really disappointed with it!

latedecember1963 · 18/12/2018 08:46

Vebrithian, yes this is the same as the one in the purple packaging as last time. I love this and have recommended it to several people since last year.

Like others, Saturday's lip balm has grown on me. I tried it over a lipstick as someone suggested and it's not as orange as it looks in the tube.

Today's value is £6.60 which brings our running tally to £214.55.
I'm going to really miss being part of this lovely thread. Not sure if it's been done before, put perhaps we can all reconvene when the Summer Beauty Box comes out.

TillyVonMilly · 18/12/2018 08:49

I like the sleep cream, I bought a jar after getting it in the calendar last year. It’s much nicer than the other night cream in my opinion.
I’m not used the eyeliner, haven’t used black eyeliner since I was 15 Xmas Grin Nail varnish is a lovely colour and is doing fine on my toes. Will try the lip gloss stuff today
I’d like a hand cream too plus a day cream. Still happy with the calendar overall Xmas Smile

mammmamia · 18/12/2018 08:50

Wasn’t expecting another night cream but will look forward to trying it after reading some of these comments.

latedecember1963 · 18/12/2018 08:50

but perhaps, not put perhaps.

mammmamia · 18/12/2018 08:51

January is going to be so miersable without these boxes to open in the morning.
Maybe next year I’ll save the calendar for January and save this thread to read a month late! Grin

latedecember1963 · 18/12/2018 08:52

I'd love a hand cream too. I'd like the Neal's Yard one we got early on a couple of years ago.

Polpette · 18/12/2018 08:54

I must admit I was disappointed when I saw it was another night cream.

But having read the thread I see a lot of you highly rate it so I'll stop being such a misery guts!

Haworthia · 18/12/2018 09:07

Ah, the Sleep Cream! It’s fantastic. I bought a full size jar after getting it last year and won’t use anything else now.
