Continued Xmas Grin

I'm happy with the eye cream and yesterday's eyeliner. Would love something a bit more glitzy and Christmassy over the next few days

Sparkletastic · 17/12/2018 15:26

You can use eye cream morning and night as long as you give it plenty of time to dink in before make up. I'm not particularly moved either way by the lip balm. It's too claggy for sure and possibly has something in the way of an irritating essential oil but only a smidge.

mammmamia · 17/12/2018 15:30

Does anyone know what the difference between the 2 eye creams are?

I agree about the nail polish chipping easily. One night wonder.
OPI ones are the best for staying power I think.

Vebrithien · 17/12/2018 17:53

Have actually found the nail polish lasting power amazing on my toenails, way better than the two last year. Really want a nice rich face cream now though.

LostInShoebiz · 17/12/2018 19:26

I’m getting a bit bored of the calendar now. The first week was a cracker but now it’s a either a bit samey or just totally underwhelming.

Peachypips · 17/12/2018 20:06

I'm still totally in love with the calendar, but I'm easy to please! Last year everyone said they wanted eyecreams so at least they are listening. Stila has yet to make an appearance, and I love the brand.

I have found the nail varnish lasted 48 hours with no chips at all. Really liked it. Black pencil also good, and I liked the mascara from the same brand last year, so I'll be looking at the rest of the range.

Sparkletastic · 17/12/2018 20:13

Agree Verbrithian - the polish has lasted on my tootsies brilliantly

Howaboutthisone · 17/12/2018 20:34

Thanks for the new thread!
I was surprised to get another eye cream but my other one has mysteriously disappeared so not too disappointed.

Milly848 · 17/12/2018 21:42

A bit lazy of them to put in another eye cream

I've had today's eye cream in a beauty box before and can't remember if I liked it or not. The Filgora one has stopped making my eyes water but I'm still only using it at night and still have left and have a Simple one opened too I'll pop this one in a drawer.

AllTheProsecco · 17/12/2018 22:25

I haven't really used eye cream before either so think two is overkill!

For those saying the nail varnish chips easily, I did mine on Friday night and won't have time to take off until tomorrow so have been waking round with this all weekend Blush

'Scuse the dry skin, clearly we need a hand cream tomorrowGrin

I like that today’s eye cream has ‘99% natural ingredients’ but won’t be trying it until the other one has run out.

I’m usually a hoarder, saving things for ‘best’ (and then best never arrives) so having more than one of the same thing is a bit frustrating but I get that it’s nice to try different things before maybe buying the full size.

RedPandaFluff · 17/12/2018 22:57

How is everyone finding the eye pencil? I hate pencils you have to sharpen; I prefer the automatic ones you twist up.

HollyHocks13 · 17/12/2018 23:00

Checking in and place marking too Smile I've just put the new eye cream on before bed and it feels lovely!

mammmamia · 18/12/2018 00:00

Need a hand cream please calendar!

MiaN · 18/12/2018 04:38

I don't need eye cream but happy to use it elsewhere

dollyknocker · 18/12/2018 06:00

I'm here Grin

ProjectGainsborough · 18/12/2018 06:23

Oooo I have been looking forward to today’s. Heard good things about it.

@RedPandaFluff not a fan of the eye pencil - find it drags the skin a bit. Might try tightlining with it as suggested upthread.

Howaboutthisone · 18/12/2018 06:36

Rally pleased with today's- I thought it was the best thing in last year's calendar and have bought it since. This is a nice size for hols.
Would love some make up or hand cream in the days left though.

Pinkgin50 · 18/12/2018 06:43

Placemarking, I've been happy with everything so far , only 2 things I've passed onto my DD . I've got a night cream so will wait til that runs out before I try this one.

mrpoopybutthole · 18/12/2018 06:55

Bah, slightly disappointed with today's. I've got enough face creams now. I'd like a bronzer or blusher & desperately need some hand cream.

Vebrithien · 18/12/2018 06:59

Is this the same as the one in the purple tube last year (looks like you've had 8 hours sleep tagline)? If so, yay!!

Butterymuffin · 18/12/2018 07:05

I'm fine with more face cream / skincare, but I seem to be the only person who also had last year's calendar who didn't rave about this - I thought it was just ok. I may have expected too much - the legend on the packaging about 'makes you look like you've had 8 hours' sleep even when you haven't' induced me to use it on late nights in the hope of the promised material. It does make my skin look nice but doesn't go that far (I notice they've removed that bit from the front of the tube this year!) Still, I will use it Smile

I'm up for swaps if anyone has had too much of the skincare and would like the eyeliner or the hair recovery? I have some of the December Glossybox make up too that I won't use.

Alwayscheerful · 18/12/2018 07:09

Thanks for the new thread.

PartTimePunk · 18/12/2018 07:16

And another night cream. I'll use it, but would prefer some variety (handcream, day moisturiser, make up )
