  1. What is it?
  2. What kind of coverage does it have?
  3. What type of skin do you have?

Erborian cc cream and sometimes B.B. cream
Very light coverage and I only use a small amount where I need it (under eyes and around nose on redness)
I have combination, sallow skin

Noloudnoises · 10/12/2018 19:45

Bobbi brown skin foundation.
Medium coverage with one squirt, heavier with more.
Combination

Best foundation I've found and I've tried loads of top tier ones.

Sexnotgender · 10/12/2018 19:46

Clinique even better glow
Light to medium
I have dryish skin but very good generally. It’s clear and pretty even.

SlowNorris · 10/12/2018 20:02

I’ve been on a foundation mission lately and still haven’t found the right one so I’ll add all those I’ve tried and not loved.

I have dry skin with sun spots over my cheeks that need full coverage.

  1. Tarte Rainforest of the Sea - full coverage but terrible chase availability and oxidised to an entire different colour.
  1. YSL All Hours - medium coverage but far too drying.
  1. YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat Radiance Awakening Foundation - medium coverage, doesn’t last long and oxidised to a different shade.
  1. Too Faced Born This Way - full, absolutely awful. Flaked and slid off within hours.
  1. Too Faced Peach Perfect - full, nice finish and shades but slides.
  1. ELDW - full, used to love it but it made my skin dull and clogged.
  1. Mac Studio Fix - medium, good shade range but clogged pores.
  1. Mac Sculpt - medium, good shade range and nice finish. Doesn’t last well.
  1. Mac Pro Full Cover - full, impossible to work with.
  1. Armani Silk - light coverage and not worth the money.

  2. Laura Mercier Silk Creme - light, lovely finish but too light a coverage.

  3. CT - full, dreadful finish flaked off.

Have you thought about trying IT Cosmetics's CC+ cream OP? It has full coverage but also includes serum so it's hydrating so may work well with your dry skin.

www.itcosmetics.co.uk/face/foundation/your-skin-but-better-cc-cream-with-spf-50/ITC_0008.html#start=5&cgid=View_All

I love it! I have combination/oily skin but it only slides off if/when I'm dripping with sweat in the gym (and I do mean dripping, like I've literally stepped in a shower...not nice but true!) so it has pretty good staying power. It has survived well (all day) in some very hot and humid countries.

SlowNorris · 10/12/2018 20:16

Ooooo I like the look of that. Full coverage and SPF 50 too, I’ll give it a go Smile thank you Hundred.

Revlon. The Photoready thing with the sponge applicator. Medium sort of coverage, I don't really know a lot about makeup, I just wanted one that blended easily and didn't rub off too much. Think it's 12.99 in Boots. I have really fair, dry skin and it works really well as long as you put the primer under it. If I don't have time to do it, it's sometimes ok but if my skin is really dry and I don't use the primer, it sometimes goes a bit cakey after a few hours.

Bigonesmallone3 · 10/12/2018 20:23

Mac
Full coverage
Dry

chipsandpeas · 10/12/2018 20:25

mac face and body - its quite light covrage but you can build up
my skin is pretty decent only hormonal spots

UpToonGirl · 10/12/2018 20:33

Another vote for IT cosmetics cc. I've got the matte version but there is a normal version which would probably suit you more. The way I use it, I get a light to medium coverage but if I need a bit more it's pretty buildable.

They are stocking it in Boots now if you wanted to try it out.

ggirl · 10/12/2018 20:33

It Cosmetics cc cream as well - full coverage with combo skin

Chanel perfection lumiere velvet - light -medium coverage

Chanel are bringing out a new foundation in January , I'll be trying it out .

I am also going to get a tester for the ludicrously priced Chanel Sublimate foundation as it's meant to be the dogs bolleaux .

ggirl · 10/12/2018 20:34

Sublimage !

WipsGlitter · 10/12/2018 20:37

Bobbi Brown in porcelain. Great light coverage; SPF; dry to the touch. I love it.

SallieSallow · 10/12/2018 20:43

Another vote for IT cosmetics cc cream - oily/combo skin and I build it up to a medium or full coverage, depending what I’m doing or what other makeup I’m wearing.

I’ve also got matte version, only used it a couple of times and haven’t really noticed it being much different from the original apart from it’s an ever so slightly fuller coverage so I seem to use a bit less of it than the original.

Ellapaella · 10/12/2018 20:45

There are two I love:
Estée Lauder DW - Full coverage, perfect colour match and I have pretty normal skin, no dryness and no oily patches.
The Ordinary Cover Foundation - medium coverage, great consistency and again the perfect colour match.

CarolSpatula · 10/12/2018 20:51

My skin sounds similar to yours. I got a Korean one that was highly recommended on here - Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream. It’s excellent, really, really love it. It’s good coverage but is also dewy, it’s spf 42. My face feels moisturised with it. Have had compliments on my skin since wearing it(!) It’s also only about £13

SlowNorris · 10/12/2018 20:56

Wow lots of interesting ones here, will definitely pop to Boots to try the It cosmetics. Will look into Missha M too.

I forgot to add one that I actually liked:

Dermacol - full coverage, probably the best coverage I’ve ever seen but very heavy and transfers too easily.

endofacentury · 10/12/2018 21:02

I've been through many! But currently love urban decay all nighter, it's full coverage and I have normal skin with an oily nose/chin. Works really well

flintfoxy · 10/12/2018 21:03

Lancôme ultra teint idole - medium coverage - devoted to it

BrusselPout · 10/12/2018 22:24

No7 beautifully matte light. Good coverage (I have rosacea so red cheeks) but feels light.

ChipsAreLife · 10/12/2018 22:35

Nars sheer glow.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 10/12/2018 22:38

Laura Mercier smooth cream foundation
Dry skin/ mildly sensitive
Light coverage, don’t like anything too heavy or clogging

Pinkvici22 · 10/12/2018 22:42

L’Oréal infallible and bourjois healthy mix - both applied with a beauty blender sprayed with dewy make up setting spray for light- medium coverage.

Combination skin - have to work hard to avoid flakiness in the winter but sometimes have greasy forehead.

I use mostly Nars/Bobbi Brown make up products but tend to go back to these foundations.

absinthfaerie · 10/12/2018 22:42

chantecaille "just skin" - light and very natural coverage (it is technically a tinted moisturiser), but i prefer to tackle the areas requiring extra attention with a concealer (MAC is great) + hourglass dim light powder on top = i swear it gives me photoshopped skin.

TeddyIsaHe · 10/12/2018 22:45

I’ve been converted to Bourjois Helthy skin (not the serum one). Medium coverage with the ability to build to full. Lasts all day, looks fab on.

I have psoriasis so hideous dry patches, with oily t-zone and it smoothes it all out and doesn’t settle weirdly. And it’s cheap! I love t.
