Its not real money @cherries Wink
I hope you love your purchase :)

neveradullmoment99 · 28/12/2018 20:55

Or ahem...purchases!!! :)

ilovecherries · 28/12/2018 21:24

If I send back the dressing gown coat, the leather skirt and an M&S cashmere jumper I will be in profit Xmas Wink. I’ve ordered the charcoal, I’m never sure Hush green suits me. Maybe I will hate them.

SoyYo · 28/12/2018 22:21

We’re all being very naughty today 😈 except @laska who’s kept her halo intact so far
Sorry I’m bingeing on ABC murders back to back on telly at the mo but to say I’ve beeb bad again (will confess later) and @Huff I don’t think it’s too huge, it’s meant to be a slouchy coatigan but if the long sleeves will end up annoying you mull it over till you’ve received all your recent buys (hide from the cat!) and honestly didn’t make you look big at all if that’s your concern.

SoyYo · 28/12/2018 22:22

And what a bargain Boden code too! (I’m not looking I really have been naughty enough Wink)

SoyYo · 28/12/2018 22:24

@cherries you’re positively angelic if you’ve returned so much already...
@melen total bargain that tweed jacket, fingers crossed for you but at least Boden do speedy refunds if not...

Huffthepuff · 28/12/2018 22:25

Haha @SoyYo I've been doing the same! Still got the last episode to go and I can't face it tonight. I miss David Suchet...

Meant to say I LOVE the leather leggings on you. They look like a perfect fit. Just the right length too! Also so pleased you got the constellation scarf. I've thought about ordering it so many times, I think it's lovely. The way you've styled it looks really great. Super Stylish but casual too

happytobemrsg · 28/12/2018 22:29

Argggghhh I've just ordered something else. Thought this would look nice for work with skinny black trousers.

ilovecherries · 28/12/2018 22:42

Well. I haven’t ACTUALLY sent anything back yet. It’s currently a hypothetical situation. But I will probably send at least the dressing gown coat back. Probably.

GinandGingerBeer · 28/12/2018 23:08

Well I'm feeling fairly angelic compared to you lot. Haha! Makes a change!
The only thing I've bought is a french connection top which I've had my eye on for ages but does absolutely nothing for me, so back it goes.

I'm having to reluctantly end my DMs back too that DH bought me for xmas. They're patent leather and the tongue is so stiff, if just digs into my leg.
So I'm holding out to see if there's anything in the Hush sale worth having and after that, inspired by another poster on the S&B NY resolutions thread, I'm not allowing myself to buy any more clothes until I'm back down to 9st 4lbs Smile so I've got to stick to it now I've said it on here. Eek!

dontcallmelen · 29/12/2018 09:20

Morning, well our 😇 have well n truly fell off.
Cherries not enabling or anything but I really liked the pink coat & it was such a good price.
happy jumper wil definitely look great with black skinny trousers, so you sort of need it really.
Soy yes consoled my self with the fact that Johnnie refunds quickly looking forward to your confession later, also forgot to say glad the Ghost dress is a keeper, it looked really gorgeous in the link.
Gin aww what a shame about the DMs.
No shopping today, it’s DH birthday today so we going out for a birthday lunch.

ilovecherries · 29/12/2018 09:58

I know, I like it too, len, just trying to remind myself I have a Barbour and Gortex lifestyle, and my opportunities to swan about in nice coats are limited. I shall wait for the Hush order to arrive. If I hate it all, I can keep the coat. Xmas Grin

ilovecherries · 29/12/2018 09:59

Oh, and have a lovely day out :)

SoyYo · 29/12/2018 10:07

Morning! I’ll be getting ready to disappear to Norfolk till New Year’s Day, just DH and I and leave DC the house as they have invited a few friends over to celebrate Hogmanay. They’re now sensible and old enough that I don’t worry about them destroying the house with partying Wink...tbh I’m not really in the mood for beach walks with the grey skies but a change of scene will do us good.
@gin you have been very frugal so far! I need to lose weight too in 2019 but don’t want to set myself impossible goals as winter for me is possibly the worst time of year to embark on a diet...planning to be sensible and up my exercise and will be happy if I lose just a few pounds by spring then rev it up as soon as the weather improves. That’s my plan anyway!
@Huff thank you for the kind comment on my haul I was surprised I fitted the size 12 leather leggings but they did! So I’m porky atm but not all is lost.
@melen yes the ghost dress is very flattering and fits which is a miracle! I’ll show you when I’m in the mood for faffing with trying things on. Yesterday I was so happy with the leggings/scarf/joggers I just threw them on with the wide v neck top i happened to be wearing at the time but made no effort to style...the ghost dress deserves a bit of styling but it really is a summer dress and not suitable for this time of year.

On my terrible weakeness yesterday.
I don’t know if you remember me saying my inner Bohemian chic wasn’t getting attn on the fashion front. So I’d been eyeing a boiled wool coat on eBay which I used to own and literally wore out and had to send to recycling last winter. I know it’ll last only 2 or 3 winters tops but I can’t find it anywhere else online as it’s old Bohemia of Sweden season. Was hoping the seller would reduce but she never did so after much consideration I went for it as I know I’ll wear lots.
Here’s a couple of pics from the listing...I’m sure it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I know it’s warm and flattering on my shape.

And then...dammit! Gudrun Sjoden email pops in with sale alert Hmm
Why oh why did I look?
I have a weak spot for Gudrun clothes. I don’t own a lot and again it’s a bit of an acquired taste. You have to be careful not to wear “full on” or you end up looking like a demented middle aged toddler overdosed on sugar BUT the few pieces I have wash incredibly well/last forever and I tend to go for a printed cardigan and usually monochrome prints and they add something original to my wardrobe.
It is expensive so I only ever buy in the sale. On Xmas eve I wore one of her black/white dresses with a folksy print which I’ve worn so much over the last 5 years and still looks new and my friends complimented me so if you get the right dress/print for you it’s very lovely and different.
This year so far hadn’t been tempted but I’ll post links to two things I just couldn’t resist in the sale and hope they’ll add a bit of unexpected to my wardrobe...

dontcallmelen · 29/12/2018 10:20

Soy love love the coat, it will really suit you.
Hopefully when you get to Norfolk, you will enjoy the change of scenery yy the grey though it’s been the same here last few days.
Look forward to seeing the ghost dress, will look fab on you especially with your lovely colouring.

dontcallmelen · 29/12/2018 10:22

Oooh not heard of her, lol at demented toddler😂

SoyYo · 29/12/2018 10:22

So there...confession over Blush

@melen have a wonderful time with DH
@cherries that pink coat was such a beautiful colour but totally get if you don’t think you’ll wear enough to justify...Sad

SoyYo · 29/12/2018 10:32

@melen she’s a Swedish designer, and her shop in Covent Garden is well worth a visit, it’s a feast for the eyes all those amazing prints and in the basement they usually have amazing bargains all year round.

SoyYo · 29/12/2018 10:39

Just seen your comment @melen on the coat. Thank You! 🙏 it’s not a fashion coat at all but I loved it so much and wore to death last time. It kind of goes with everything casual and it’s very warm boiled wool without being heavy.
My inner bohemian is ever so pleased! Smile

happytobemrsg · 29/12/2018 11:04

Gin that's a fantastic goal! After this Christmas I'm a little scared to step on the scales.

See this is why I love this thread - I've never heard of that brand before Soy. That cardigan is lovely.

The MV star jumper in the smaller size has just arrived & I love it. It's still oversized (& looks like it is intentional) but still shows a little shape too. Gradually rebuilding my wardrobe! At this rate I'll have lots of new clothes before the walk in wardrobe is ready (builder is taking forever)

fairiesandelves · 29/12/2018 11:06

My goodness me the gudrun website is fab. I love that kind of stuff I'm ordering tights and leggings first. And the older lady with white hair looks like my 80 year old mum - I had to double take.

dontcallmelen · 29/12/2018 11:07

Ooh Soy the cardi is fab, will be very near to Covent Garden next week as taking dd & dgd to the theatre, may just you know have a little look😂.
cherries ikwym with lifestyle v something not that practical I’m the worlds worst for it.

happytobemrsg · 29/12/2018 11:07

I seem to love the knits at MV - is there anywhere else you would recommend? I want luxury & casual (but no more expensive than MV!!)
