Wow that's fantastic Len! You deserve a very big gin and tonic for that! What a lovely dolls house, is it for for Dgd?

dontcallmelen · 23/12/2018 16:40

Thanks Ella my brain hurts😃 yes it’s for dgd she has one at dds which she really plays with a lot, so thought it would be nice to have one here for her as well.

SoyYo · 23/12/2018 17:43

Aww @Ella that’s such a happy bright jumper and you totally rock it 😍 I’ve had a busy day so will be back later to chat properly
Hope all the Xmas prep is going well if not sit down and have a glass of 🍷and watch a silly Xmas movie which is what I’m doing right now Xmas Smile

neveradullmoment99 · 23/12/2018 18:26

Lovely jumper @Ella. Is it from H&M? I remember deliberating over something similar.
@Melen - fab house. Well done in putting it together! I am sure your dgd will be delighted with it.
Well I spent AGES wrapping all my children's gifts. Was determined not to have to do it tomorrow night so now I can relax.
@Soyo - I gave my leopard boden jacket [ you have the same one] an outing when I went to the supermarket today. Dressed it down with a cashmere jumper, skinny jeans and dm's. I felt great in it and it was super cosy cause it was freezing. I think tonight I am going to sit in front of a Christmassy movie and chill out with popcorn.
I will do my roast tomorrow and all the veg so that it is ready to heat up when I come back from my xmas brunch at SIL.

Ellapaella · 23/12/2018 18:30

Just from Tesco @neveradullmoment99 - I took heed of what Soyo said yesterday about my grey jumper fetish, saw this in Tesco this afternoon while shopping for food boys and decided to go for it and brighten up my Xmas wardrobe!
It's very snug and warm. Not feeling so good today - had a headache for two days, hoping a good nights sleep will sort me out.

neveradullmoment99 · 23/12/2018 18:46

You really suit it. I was in tescos today and we didn't have that jumper. Definitely a good buy. Hope your headache clears. chrismas stress!!!

dontcallmelen · 23/12/2018 19:29

Ella jumper is lovely, I really need to brave my local Tesco soon I don’t go there much as it’s always manic, hope your headache clears soon.
Never today’s outfit sounds gorgeous, yeahy wrapping done I hate that job definitely movie & popcorn enjoy.

dontcallmelen · 23/12/2018 19:30

I have just eaten a whole tub of cheeselets, feel a bit sick now😳

EachandEveryone · 23/12/2018 20:32

I’m watching Daddy’s Home2x I shouldn’t be enjoying it as much as I am 😖

twosoups1972 · 24/12/2018 10:30

@melen dd's school know what's going on and have been amazingly supportive. She's at boarding staff and both teaching and boarding staff have been fantastic. Will see what the doctor says today. I just want to fix things for her Sad

Love the dolls house!

@ella fab bright jumper Smile

I'm still on the hunt for a knitted dress in a brighter colour - I looked through my wardrobe recently and have so much grey! I didn't like the red one from Monsoon, it went back.

Ellapaella · 24/12/2018 11:10

Good morning hushters 👋
Merry Christmas Eve. I'm feeling much better this am thankfully. Just taken dog to the beach and indulging on a mince pie with my coffee.
We are off out for lunch then crib service at 4pm after which I'll be putting my pyjamas on, cracking open some champagne and having buffet tea and watching Christmas movies with DH and the DC.
We were going to the cinema but decided not to as traffic everywhere has been awful last few days.
What are you all doing today? Hope everyone is feeling better.
Anyone getting any Hush for Christmas?

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 24/12/2018 11:20

Hi @ella. I am getting the hush fairisle jumper but that's it. Saving myself for the sale really. I bought DM's this morning for my dd birthday on the 29th. They were reduced to £69 from Schuh. I thought you would appreciate them @ella. I have worn mine to death. You are getting a pair?

neveradullmoment99 · 24/12/2018 11:31

29th Of January that is. She chose them. She wanted the rainbow metallic but they were all OOS so when she saw these she leapt at them!
Well today sadly its cooking and cleaning for me. Cooking Christmas dinner and just want the house tidy for Christmas really. In the evening my older ds said he may pop up. Going to chill and watch tv tonight and dye my roots!!!

dontcallmelen · 24/12/2018 11:47

Two glad that the are being so supportive, that makes a huge difference with the lines of communication, hope you have a productive chat with the Gp💐

Ellapaella · 24/12/2018 11:47

Oh wow those are beautiful!
I am getting a pair - have been lusting for ages and ages. Hope you have a lovely day.

Ella glad you are feeling much better, still surrounded by dying swans here & just doing last minute tidying/ironing & hiding presents, Dh gone to pick up the turkey & dd son in law & dgd coming here later so hopefully watch a film, start on the chocolate, I may cook the turkey tonight which would save a lot of angst tomorrow.
Never those boots are fab & great bargain, good luck with the roots.

dontcallmelen · 24/12/2018 11:54

Laska hope you are recovering & all that cooking is going well.

dontcallmelen · 24/12/2018 12:18

Does anyone else keep thinking that have forgotten something? I’m racking my brain & keep going through my mental list convinced that I have forgotten something monumentally important.

ilovecherries · 24/12/2018 12:51

After a mammoth tour of Scotland we are now back with dd in tow. DH has gone to pick up M&S food order, DD doing the last of the wrapping. Since I lost weight (and we both stopped drinking!!), Xmas does feel slightly less of the feast it used to be, as I stay low carb all the time. No quality street for me (no roasties or mince pies either). And obv no champagne or baileys. Still all worth it, but we haven’t yet found a new structure to the celebrations.

twosoups1972 · 24/12/2018 13:09

Sounds great @ilovecherries you have amazing willpower!

dontcallmelen · 24/12/2018 13:43

Cherries sounded a real marathon of driving, I salute your willpower.
Have a lovely time.

Laska2Meryls · 24/12/2018 14:33

Happy Christmas Eve to all who are celebrating.

I love this time of year, once everything is done! Shopping all done (DH was sent to get more wine earlier), gifts for family all in gift bags, hair and make up done and heading out to celebrate with my DF, DSM, brother and his family. Tomorrow we are cooking for 19. Ham and spiced beef and stuffing are ready, croquet potatoes in the freezer. I just need to figure out the timing of it all. No santa in the house any more but lots of surprises for the teens will be ready and waiting under the tree. By 8pm tomorrow the guests will all have gone home, my PJs will be on and a glass of Baileys in my hand.
Hopefully there will be bargains to purchase online as well, starting with Hush!

dontcallmelen · 24/12/2018 14:58

Just wanted to check in quickly as family here very soon, everything seems to be organised, hopefully me & the turkey will remain on good terms😂
I wish everyone of you joy peace & goodwill, all of you on this thread have been so supportive kind funny & wise, it has been a privilege sharing life ups n downs, fashion finds & disasters with you all.
Take care & much love 💗🥂🍾 xxx
